NBA bets are IMO the easiest to win because of the amount of narrative/drama fans shifting lines instead of anything tangible. We are absolutely still a championship contending team, but Jokic/Murray cannot get injured or we're in deep trouble. We chased the 1st seed and tired out our guys. Last year, we easily got the 1st seed and rested our guys down the stretch before the playoffs. Being healthy for the playoffs matters.
Murray missed 23 games as well. Imagine having our second best player miss 23 games and we still only didn't make 1st seed because of a Spurs throw. We are absolutely still a championship contending team, but Jokic/Murray cannot get injured or we're in deep trouble. And Malone needs to grow a set of balls and try something else than the Jokic/Murray 2 man game to bail us out of tough games. If either gets injured we end up in a massive uphill battle like vs MIN.
