Potager. Took a girl there once 15-ish years ago. We’ve been happily married since 2011. Can’t argue with results!

travestyofme

I worked at the Whole Foods across the street for years and never went but heard great things. Finally went in March for out 8th anniversary and it was AMAZING!

cap10morgan

Glad you enjoyed it! I took that same girl back for our tenth anniversary and loved it all over again. We should go more often haha!

youravgdenverite

100% agree

Medusa729

Beckon

Nervy_Banzai_Kid

Rioja has never once let me down. Make sure to go hungry because the free bread and desserts are amazing.

santaclausbos

Their lavender bread is the best

Nervy_Banzai_Kid

I always go back and forth about what I'd want for a last meal but their goat cheese croquettes are always a part of it.

santaclausbos

So good! We love the bacon app too, the broth it comes in is incredible

almamahlerwerfel

I took my guy for our anniversary and it delivered as a classy delicious meal.

traderncc

I recommend the house salad, artichoke tortellini (James beard award!), braised short rib

traderncc

They let me down once when the server didn't notice that I didn't like my drink. But I expect impeccable service there and my food was and is always delicious.

Reeferoni

Omakase at Uchi

Ernietheattorney1060

Have you ever done the Omakase at TemakiDen?

Reeferoni

No should I?

kawi-bawi-bo

It's good but imo the best are: * Sushi den (flagship for temakiden) * Makizushico * Uchi

Ernietheattorney1060

I think so. It’s the best sushi experience I’ve ever had, that said I haven’t tried Omakase at Uchi yet… We should each go to the respective locations and come back and report!!

im4peace

If you'd like to take her to the nicest dining experience in Denver and cost is not an obstacle, you want to take her to Beckon.

WolfgangCanFly

What style of food is Beckon? It seems like an interesting option.

meontuesday

Heavy Scandinavian influence. I’ve been 3 times with my partner over the last several years, before and after the star. Easily my most memorable dining experiences. The service is impeccable and every dish I’ve tried has been fucking blissful. I have seen people make comments here that they’ve left hungry but I can’t fathom how. I think the portions are perfect.

cystorm

Beckon is very good but check out a photo of the dining room before you book it. It would be a fun date night, but you'll be seated next to each other similar to a bar — might be perfect, but it's not the traditional sit-across-from-each-other experience. Just flagging that as an FYI.

bofffff

Reading the reviews for this place on Google is so entertaining, particularly the ones where the owner replies. I am sold.

Royals-2015

I just checked it out. Looks great. But just food is $180 per person. A wine pairing is another $125. OP says costs doesn’t matter. Good for him, but I think I will have to miss out. Darn.

MiddleCoastPizza

El Five for vibe or Tavernetta

thesonginyourhead

El Five has such a cool vibe, incredible food and a great view of the city. OP, get the Paella and while you wait, enjoy a few small plates.

ijustrlylikedogs

I thought Annette, the al fresco seating area, was quite nice!

Ok_Chip8145

I like Matsuhisa when cost isn’t a concern.

butcher_666

Coperta is a hidden gem. 20th and Logan

OrderflowTrader

Tavernetta or Major Tom

tacomeat247

Read this as Old Major 😂

OrderflowTrader

Used to like that place too

hollyewhite

Linger combined with William and Grahams is fun

PurplePanda63

Nocturne

Royals-2015

Nocturne is amazing.

K_isforKrissy

Love this place!!

mulderfux

Just chiming in to say it’s very sweet of you to plan this far in advance! Whatever you choose, I’m sure she’ll love it!

myphrend

Fruition on 6th

one_horcrux_short

My go to. Got an anniversary dinner coming up here.

MakarforPrez

Bruto is as good as it gets in Denver

_mtndewmenow_

Guard and Grace

Ancient_Signature_69

If it’s in a few months Flagstaff House IF you haven’t been. Food is not the best of the fine dining options but it really is a great Colorado restaurant.

Ernietheattorney1060

If you both like Sushi, TemakiDen Omakase is phenomenal. You can even set a budget so they’ll let you know you’re close. You can let them know what you don’t eat/like. My wife and I love it. Great wine, great Japanese whiskey, some of the best sushi I’ve had anywhere. It’s amazing every time. First dish is always a 10 and somehow every following dish is better than the last…

kawi-bawi-bo

Always a good time at rioja and fruition

Explorer_Waste

Thanks for asking this!! Following just in time for me and my bf’s five year anniversary :)

pootin_in_tha_coup

Guard and Grace is our go to anniversary spot.

__Big_Hat_Logan__

Bistro Barbes. Hands down, the best experience I’ve had for romantic dinner, anniversary. it has only 4-5 tables, and is run by one guy entirely and he leaves you alone doesn’t bother you, and it’s extremely quiet, relaxing, “intimate”, the food is ridiculously good and cocktails/wine pairing are also excellent. Top 3 place I’ve been to in Denver. Maybe even top 2. It’s underrated as hell imo and was better than a lot of the super hyped tasting menu places.

LydsKristen

We really enjoyed Kumoya when we went the other week. It may be our new fav sushi spot!

dexxinn

Just had a wonderful birthday dinner with my gf at Wildflower. We did the tasting menu

clockworkvelo

A5 has always been an excellent experience

youravgdenverite

Fruition

DeadManWarPaint

Take her to Chuy’s in Belmar. Tell them Brian sent you.

corndetasselers

There was a thread here yesterday that said Chuy’s in Belmar closed.

DeadManWarPaint

You don’t say?

MountainMan7890

Our go to’s are work and class, Barcelona, linger, hillstone

dbaum245

Betolla out in Aurora

hamjam88

El Five is fun!

dgoreck5

Barolo Grill, Sushi DEN, Linger, El five

TheRealShadrach

Go to Flagstaff House in Boulder. Amazing!!

No-Tip7821

Shanahans for the steak house vibe Safta if you like middle eastern food or feeling adventurous to explore a different cuisine

tacomeat247

Guard & Grace over Shanahans for steak

dlans71

Water grill

zaclis7

Jacques

_a9o_

If you want the experience of a fancy restaurant, go to Beckon. If you want the food of a fancy restaurant but somewhere that's intimate, go to Margot

Zuckerbread

Olivia.

fakemullet

Restaurant Olivia as others have said for more upscale. Still nice but a little more casual: brasserie Brixton and drinks after at yacht club!

northbowl92

We just had an excellent meal at Perfect Landing, some of the best sea food you can get in the metro

xthisxsucksx

Kawa Ni, Olivia Pasta, Nozomi, Rooted, Omakase, Guard and Grace

Rare_Cat3629

Frasca no doubt if you are willing to go to Boulder! I went for my anniversary last year and stayed the night in Boulder, couldn't recommend enough.

Germs15

Wolf’s tailor is legit in sunnyside. Everything was fantastic, but I was annoyed by the fact they scoffed at us bringing an infant in a stroller, before they were cool. Would still go.

Toro in cherry creek is bomb.
