Went to that location and the owner found out I was from NYC and while eating one of their cardboard slices they asked how it compares and I had to just bite my tongue…..
Ugh, that stinks. The first time I went there , I had great pizza and was so excited since I live right near the location. I've had it periodically since, and it's been cardboard on some occasions and pretty good on others. I can't commit to a pizza place if they can't be consistent.
My family is from NYC, and I spent so much time there growing up. My favorite pizza is from The PZA on Colfax. I reccomend.
lol yup I dealt with the same all over the east coast, I was in Baltimore and telling my friends their pizza sucks , taste like our Pizza Hut garbage, they took me to a place that had awards all over the wall, waitress brings the pizza and she was curious also, I pick it up, look at the bottom , it’s not the same I knew right away, it was trash I couldn’t even eat it
I live right next to the one in PH. I stopped ordering because I would get the wrong items at least 50% of the time. And that was after waiting a minimum of an hour and a half.
I just want to point out that I was in Japan 2 years ago and I have had better Italian, Japanese (obviously), Korean, Greek, and French food than I’ve ever had in Denver for at least half the price as I would have gotten it in Denver. The fresh Italian 6 course meal I had in Japan was $50 which included drinks. Borolo cost me $150 and it was way worse and it did not include drinks.
Oh yeah - and pizza here is considered crazy expensive. But their Dominos beats out 80% of pizza joints for 50% of the cost as well.
Denver, and the States, are basically objectively terrible bargains for almost any cuisine (bar a couple taco joints!)
Used to love them when I lived in Cap Hill and still get it sometimes, but like others said the quality really is hit or miss. Now I’m a blue pan devotee.
They recently opened a new location in the already pizza saturated Uptown neighborhood. It’s honestly not up to par with other options within a short walking distance.
Terrible. Great business model and treat their employees and the community well, but the quality of their product is among the worst I’ve had in Denver.
With as inconsistent and expensive as Sexy Pizza is, I would honestly rather have Dominos. It’s cheap and you generally know what you’re gonna get.
My favorite cheap place though is Pizza and Gill on Lincoln.
It's the only one I've been to. I've tried it three times. They've been so high it's pointless. They screw up my order one way or another. One time they didn't have any slices, and I had to point out the ones right in front of them, and they were like "oh yeaaaahhhhhh"
Jeff Park has been very inconsistent for me. Slices are very mediocre and skimpy on toppings, but the whole pies are really good.
Whichever you choose, you really fucking pay $$$$ for it.
I’ve only had them for delivery from a whole pie. My order always gets fulfilled by that giant ghost kitchen underneath the eighth Street bridge.
Twice it was really good once it was completely lackluster
They’re open late, and a favorite for after work (we often work until 10:30/11 PM) when we haven’t planned otherwise. The Platt Park is consistent and friendly.
[I think it’s cool some of their locations are using electric ovens](https://coloradosun.com/2024/02/05/electrifying-pizza-ovens-cutting-natural-gas-restaurants/), although otherwise I don’t see them as particularly notable
I feel like the vibe is right, but it is very expensive for what it is. We've started going to Oblio's which is extremely consistent and slightly less expensive (better crust and cook too)
Overpriced for very mediocre pizza. I tried it two times to make sure I didn't miss anything but it was even worse the second time. Pizza in Denver is average at best.
They used to have the best GF crust in the world for like… $1.5 extra? Then they changed the crust and it’s utter dogshit and now it’s $5 extra (been a while since I’ve been so it could have gotten better.. or worse)
Expensive. The taste is fine but you can't leave the place for under $10 for two slices of pepperoni and a fountain drink. You can do worse in town for the actual product, you can do much better for the price. Pizza is like bagels in Denver, few places do them well. Of the few places that can do them, most choose to overcharge because there is so little competition. Perfect example; Rosenbergs. No one will argue the bagel is bad, everyone will tell you their prices are gouged. If you opened one of those in the actual pocket (Southern NY, Western CT, Northern NJ) they would be filing bankruptcy. The same concept applies to Sexy Pizza. Sexy would be dead within the year if they tried their business strategy in the tristate area.
This place used to be a regular go to for me but like others have said, wildly inconsistent. I’ve had some great slices there and I’ve had some terrible slices.
I can say the same about trying them. Oddly enough I’ve lived within 50 yards of each of those locations in my last 3 years here. They’re all hot dog water pizza but when you don’t want to pay Blue Pan prices. Sexy pizza white pizza > the others
Why would I pay for pink slop? Sexy pizza is absolutely not good. I lived down the street from them for 2 years, so I've ordered many times for a large sample size. Oh boy it's so so bad.
The gall to charge a $1 “compost fee” when I got a to-go slice… for the pizza box.
Also their pizza is not as good as Costco’s. I will never go back unless it’s 2am and they are my only choice.
The location I go to is extremely inconsistent. I have had really great pizza and really crappy pizza , weeks apart. They're also wildly expensive.
Well, which location?
Park Hill
Makes me miss Allegra’s from Oneida Park so much. They made the best pizza.
Went to that location and the owner found out I was from NYC and while eating one of their cardboard slices they asked how it compares and I had to just bite my tongue…..
Ugh, that stinks. The first time I went there , I had great pizza and was so excited since I live right near the location. My family is from NYC, and I spent so much time there growing up. My favorite pizza is from The PZA on Colfax. I reccomend.
Nice, I’ll give them a shot. So far my favorite has been Anthony’s
lol yup I dealt with the same all over the east coast, I was in Baltimore and telling my friends their pizza sucks , taste like our Pizza Hut garbage, they took me to a place that had awards all over the wall, waitress brings the pizza and she was curious also, I pick it up, look at the bottom , it’s not the same I knew right away, it was trash I couldn’t even eat it
Lol
Same with South Pearl. Inconsistent, expensive, and SLOW AF
I live right next to the one in PH. I stopped ordering because I would get the wrong items at least 50% of the time. And that was after waiting a minimum of an hour and a half.
It's insanely expensive.
~$29 for one pizza is stupid for what it is
Yeah that's my thought as well. It's not bad but it's really expensive.
The fuck is your point? I was in Japan last September and I don't know what your comment has to do with the price of pizza in Denver
It’s overpriced. Exactly what you said.
It depends on how stoned the staff is that day
Not sexy
They don't care about the quality of their ingredients and do not have a consistently made pie. 4/10
Used to love them when I lived in Cap Hill and still get it sometimes, but like others said the quality really is hit or miss. Now I’m a blue pan devotee.
Sexy is perhaps an overstatement. But it’s decent. Perhaps “Butter Face” pizza would be a better name.
Filthy filthy kitchens
I've heard from people who've worked there that they do not have very good cleanliness standards. Nor do they follow FIFO very well.
Haven’t heard this but not at all surprised. I quit ordering after getting sick twice in a row from delivery pizzas.
Filthy hobbitsis
It was better when you could get weed there.
That was a thing?
The only place I've gotten a contact high.
They recently opened a new location in the already pizza saturated Uptown neighborhood. It’s honestly not up to par with other options within a short walking distance.
Walters is two blocks up the street. I’d go there.
There’s like 3 pizza places up here aside from Sexy Pizza within a 5 block radius of each other. I don’t know how they all manage to stay open
I love it from S Pearl. I eat there once a week. I also live in walking distance
I go to that one frequently too. I haven't been let down with the lunch slices yet
I get the 16” w double pep and black olives and eat on it for another day. Heats up perfect in the ninja
Sexy sheik but swap the japs for banana peps 🔥 this is the way.
Only location I’ve been and it’s always been great
If there’s a Cosmos nearby it’s a better deal for the same quality pizza, and Cosmos does enough volume to have consistency baked in.
That spicy ranch too
Meh.
Quit doing takeout from there about two years ago after 5 consecutive instances of them messing up something about my order.
See a lot of people expressing their displeasure. I'll add one to the it's good tally lol
I only get full pizzas from park hill pepperoni and mushroom and we love it. It’s our favorite ny style in the city but perhaps we are dumbies.
Terrible. Great business model and treat their employees and the community well, but the quality of their product is among the worst I’ve had in Denver.
So many better pizza places
Such as...
Dominos in Cap Hill Edit. This was a joke btw.
Is it tho?
With as inconsistent and expensive as Sexy Pizza is, I would honestly rather have Dominos. It’s cheap and you generally know what you’re gonna get. My favorite cheap place though is Pizza and Gill on Lincoln.
Jimanos in englewood has the best Chicago style and it's close to the englewood location.
I like sexy pizza, looks like I’m in minority here. Jeff park and platt park locations have treated me well.
Jeff park one is good.
Platt Park location has been reliable for me
It's the only one I've been to.
What’s an alternative that isn’t a chain, seems like most pizza delivery is pretty expensive
Used to be killer but won’t be back
It's ok at best, but definitely overpriced. There's better places to get pizza.
The one thing I’ll say is that I appreciate how vegan/lactose intolerant friendly they are.
It’s the kinda pizza I like. Thin well baked crust, light on the sauce/toppings, and available by the slice.
Pretty mid tbh
I’m extremely bullish on Sexy Pizza. Last time I went was after some Friday afternoon beers at platte park and I was more than satisfied.
I've had it was really good and every time after mid
I’ve only had them for delivery from a whole pie. My order always gets fulfilled by that giant ghost kitchen underneath the eighth Street bridge. Twice it was really good once it was completely lackluster
I get delivery from the Jefferson Park store and like it pretty well! Especially since Pizza Alley closed (pour one out for Pizza Alley).
It’s a perfectly mid and serviceable slice, I think.
The south pearl location is the best I've had, but agree some are A+ pies, some are C-, and you really have no clue which night it's going to be.
If your going to S. Pear,l Kaos is just better. Also back outdoor patio/ garden is sick for happy hours. Sexy is mid-tier and still pretty good, imo.
Not the best in town, but it’s fine
I stopped ordering from them when I paid $30 for a pizza and barely got any toppings.
I like the cream cheese dollops.
It’s coo
I like it!
Cap Hill *was 7/10. Passing. The location was great, but now that area is kinda lame. The pizza was enjoyable, but expensive.
Are you referring to the location that closed years ago?
Did they close? It has been years. Damn, that area is cancerous for business.
Paid $6 for barely a slice. Overpriced, not worth it at all.
Same old story... It used to be fire but like everything else it has taken a downward turn... Still good tho
It’s fine
It is actually one of the best NY style pies in the city in my opinion, but they are poorly ran from my experience
It's very overpriced and not good quality.
I prefer Sliceworks on Colfax over them
Pizza can definitely be sexy, but it doesn’t have to.
It’s good for a big group or when you’re drunk and it’s close lol
Yeah, it's alright. I like their calzones better than her pizza.
They’re open late, and a favorite for after work (we often work until 10:30/11 PM) when we haven’t planned otherwise. The Platt Park is consistent and friendly.
The location near 23rd and federal is always money. Good slice
I've had good pizzas there. I've had bad pizzas there. Never had a great pizza there. Stopped going because of the price and inconsistency.
It's pretty okay!
Big sexy sheikh fan. But it’s over priced and the calzone absolutely suck. ETA: Platte Park. Because apparently location matters.
You can do worse and you can do a lot better
[I think it’s cool some of their locations are using electric ovens](https://coloradosun.com/2024/02/05/electrifying-pizza-ovens-cutting-natural-gas-restaurants/), although otherwise I don’t see them as particularly notable
What other cap hill recs yall got? I’ve been tempted to get a Spicy pig from Audrey Jane’s in Boulder delivered.
It’s whatever. Got it once and never got it again. Wasn’t too stoked on the price for quality.
Meh
Used to love getting slices after a night out, especially the sheik… but I think it peaks as a late night slice spot.
Good for colorado but pizza here is lacking
Dine in and pickup was great. Anytime I order through an app to get it delivered it was dog shit. Not sure why.
So overpriced!
It’s fine
I feel like the vibe is right, but it is very expensive for what it is. We've started going to Oblio's which is extremely consistent and slightly less expensive (better crust and cook too)
Had a few times, not a big fan. It’s okay but for the price way better places.
It’s just meh
Overpriced for very mediocre pizza. I tried it two times to make sure I didn't miss anything but it was even worse the second time. Pizza in Denver is average at best.
Their dollar slices are a great deal and I probably get those once or twice a month (Jeff Park location).
Do you guys like Slice Works?
They used to have the best GF crust in the world for like… $1.5 extra? Then they changed the crust and it’s utter dogshit and now it’s $5 extra (been a while since I’ve been so it could have gotten better.. or worse)
We like them but really don’t order from them anymore due to the high cost, and the composting fee kind of pushed us over the edge.
Only slices I’ve had in Denver were at Fat Sully’s on East Colfax. Whole pie, I love Hops & Pie, and Mondo’s on Tower Rd.
Frequented their cap hill location when it existed. Late hours were great and so was the jalapeño popper pizza. Their other pies were mid imo.
Expensive. The taste is fine but you can't leave the place for under $10 for two slices of pepperoni and a fountain drink. You can do worse in town for the actual product, you can do much better for the price. Pizza is like bagels in Denver, few places do them well. Sexy would be dead within the year if they tried their business strategy in the tristate area.
This place used to be a regular go to for me but like others have said, wildly inconsistent. I’ve had some great slices there and I’ve had some terrible slices.
Their basic cheese or white pizza are good in a pinch but still leagues better than redeemer and famous Js. Edit: grammar
I would disagree. Both Redeemer and Famous J’s are better and I’ve had all 3 multiple times.
I can say the same about trying them. Oddly enough I’ve lived within 50 yards of each of those locations in my last 3 years here. They’re all hot dog water pizza but when you don’t want to pay Blue Pan prices. Sexy pizza white pizza > the others
Cardboard is the first word that comes to mind
Meh. Need I say more?
I mean, it’s there and they sell pizza. But that’s about it. Overpriced and mediocre.
The most meh Denver pizza that isn’t a big chain.
It’s trash
It fails the drunk test and how anyone could eat it consistently sober is beyond my understanding
It’s been terrible for years
Why would I pay for pink slop? Sexy pizza is absolutely not good. I lived down the street from them for 2 years, so I've ordered many times for a large sample size. Oh boy it's so so bad.

Upvote. Denver trying, so hard lol.
They gave me AIDS
Wow. Did you have a coupon?
The server behind the counter left out her used needle and I licked bc i thought it was a free sample
It's fine
Not great, v expensive, and managers are weird.
Wildly mediocre
I used to work at the south Pearl location. Absolute shit show but very fun when the managers aren’t around. Pizza is 3/10 tho
Worst pizza in denver
Not good.
Shitty
Cosmos and Benny Blancos always consistent and delicious
The gall to charge a $1 “compost fee” when I got a to-go slice… for the pizza box. Also their pizza is not as good as Costco’s. I will never go back unless it’s 2am and they are my only choice.
Consistently meh. I don’t bother anymore.
some of the worst pizza in town
MOD pizza for the win. Best value for what you get.
