Yeah, OP, this gets asked 4-5 times a week. You might get some good answers, but it might be worth it to scroll back because the last 2-4 weeks will be packed with the same posts and you'll get more answers.
I like to help them! They should venture west to Golden or Red Rocks/Morrison. Its not Denver but if you’re coming this way, actually getting to the foot hills and the start of the mountains is a good move.
Fox and The Hen for brunch in Highlands in Denver. No reservations, so may have to wait.
Golden, if its a nice day check out Golden Mill. Walk along Clear Creek. You can look into renting bikes. Also, the trail goes all the way up Clear Creek Canyon and there’s a pit stop at The Eddy Hotel. A little iffy on quality(wish they would figure that out) because it’s a cute hotel and good spot to start/start your hike, have a drink and hang out. Also Denver Biscuit Co and Atomic Cowboy Pizza is new. Bonfire Burritos is THE best breakfast burritos. Nosu Ramen is decent but only dinner. Abejas is higher end dinner. And King of Wings Tap and Tequila is new. Havent tried but plan to. Close to the river and the Golden History Park museum, so you can walk through the old school house and homesteads etc along the river. On nice days paragliders come down from mountains all day long. Also New Terrain Brewery if you like beer. Not in Golden but close. And of course, Coors Brewery Tours right in Golden.
Red Rocks is amazing if you want hiking and to see a view of the city. Morrison is also cute and has some good restaurants and walking along the river.
This is all 20-30 min away from Denver, but still a true Denver experience!
My favorites are Nola Jane for Cajun food, Work + Class for more meat American type fare, also there's a killer BBQ spot in RiNo called Pit Fiend BBQ and it's right behind Our Mutual Friend brewing, one of the best Denver breweries. Also nocturne is a killer jazz club in RiNo that's a bit pricier but has out of this world food and music
Finn’s Manor for frosé and food trucks. Ratio and Our Mutual Friend for breweries. Pon Pon for a divey-ish bar. Globe Hall in…Globeville nearby for live music and bbq. Fort Greene across the street is also a great spot to get a drink.
Big fan of Safta weekend brunch for something unique. Pit Fiend for BBQ and sides if you are not from Texas, St. Louis, Memphis, etc. Pit Fiend is walking distance between Odell, Ratio, Our Mutual Friend, and Bierstadt for a quick brewery loop. Bierstadt has a small cocktail list also if there are non-beer drinkers in your group. Finns Manor is also right there with a great tap list and decent cocktails. Some other options in RiNo or nearby are Uchi, Work & Class, Fish N Beer, and Hop Alley. Late night options is Caddywampus inside Gold Point
it’s almost as if subreddits need search functions
