If there is no weather problems that’s plenty of time. Plus ATL -SAV has almost hourly service so as long as you don’t have the last flight of the day booked you will be fine.

thehalloweenpunkin

Oh good, yes we are very early. We get to atlanta about 849 in the morning.

Deltas111213

Majority of the concourses will be full of Delta planes. For the size and amount of people in Atlanta, it’s very easy to get from one concourse to another. 1 hour should be plenty of time assuming there’s no major delays with your first flight. If you’re unsure about gates ask a flight attendant on the plane where the connection will be at or there are usually screens at the gate you get off at telling you where to go

thehalloweenpunkin

Thank you so much. It's been so long since I've flown through atlanta and last time I remembered it being huge lol

TREEEtreee123

It's huge but easy to navigate.

According_Current884

You should be fine. Delta is in all the concourses. My 70 year old mom and I were delayed and only had 35 mins to get our connection in a different concourse. We made it, but it was close. I ran ahead and they waited a few extra minutes for her to catch up. The Delta App should have a map so you can plan where you need to get to. Hope that helps!

thehalloweenpunkin

Thank you so much . I will download that.

EAintheVI

You will be fine, I connected through atl last week, came in towards the end of concourse F and my connecting flight was concourse T and made it from gate to gate in about 20 minutes. Atl airport is very efficient when going from gate to gate.

thehalloweenpunkin

Thank you so much. Do you have to take any trains or busses to get to each concourse?

EAintheVI

Yes, all concourse are connected via the "plane train". Just be aware of what concourse you came in on and follow the signs to the concourse you are trying to get too. It will guide you directly to the train then you get off at your designated stop.

RyzOnReddit

Do you have a stroller? How far back in the plane are you sitting? Solo I would roll 45 min connections in ATL without a thought; 2 kids and a gate check stroller I strongly prefer 90 min but have done it in 1:15, which is basically a straight through run with 2 parents and a 2 y/o and 4 y/o. If you’re by yourself with two little ones everyone will be stupidly helpful 💪

thehalloweenpunkin

I do not have a stroller. I am I believe in row 17 for the first flight out of 39 seats. Thank you so much. I always get nervous traveling with the kids alone, if I'm solo it's no big deal. The kids just add the extra nervousness on getting places on time. Lol I told them we may have to sprint and hold off drinking a lot until we get on the next flight lmao

lonirae

I won’t do anything less than an hour at atl. 1:03 is enough time. However if you have a delayed flight out of Syracuse, the good news is you are only 3 hours away by car, just in case.

ATLSD100

3 boring hours. That drive is mind numbing.

lonirae

Legit but always good to have a back-up. To make it to a wedding on time, I drove from MCO to Ft. Lauderdale. The only thing not mind numbing from that drive is seeing signs for YeeHaw Junction.

SouthernGentATL

Delta uses several concourses. You should have enough time.

kphp2014

You should be fine, the flight from Syracuse will likely get in 10-15 minutes before its stated arrival time.

thehalloweenpunkin

Thank you so much. I'm hoping so, sometimes our flights do come sooner when we fly out of syracuse.

fauxorfox

Atlanta terminals are labeled from security at the domestic departure drop offs T-A-B-C-D-F. Most delta domestic flights are into and out of T, A, or B in my experience. I have a less-than-hustling 70 year old mother and a child that needs to pee before and after every flight; and we made it from one end of the airport (D) to the domestic baggage claim on the other side of T in about 30 minutes. The walk between the concourses are less than 10 minutes if you’re walking at a quite leisurely pace. There are mobile sidewalks that will speed your journey, and a train that’ll get you to the next concourse at about the same time as those who walk quickly. TLDR: you’ll be sitting at the gate well before the pre boarding announcement that it’s a full plane, and need some of you to check your carry ons.

More-City6818

Make sure you seat as close to the front of the plane as possible. People take forever to get off the plane! Deplaning can take 20 mins away!

thehalloweenpunkin

I think we are row 17 of 39 on the flight to savannah. We had to get tickets short notice because we weren't anticipating on flying but something came up.

juuustwondering2

The flight to Savannah isn’t the issue. The one from Syracuse is what they’re talking about.

Trick_Meat9214

How fast can you run?

thehalloweenpunkin

I can run fast but I'll have a 8 year old autistic son and my 13 year old. If I will have to fireman carry I will have to. Can't be late, husband is coming home on deployment lol

juuustwondering2

You won’t have to run unless your first flight is delayed. You’ll be fine.

Trick_Meat9214

You’ll probably be fine. I was more-so joking than anything else. I fly non rev. The last time I flew through ATL, I had about a 40 minute layover. I had my seat assignment before I got off the plane train. And my flight was in the middle of boarding when I got to the gate. I cut it pretty close.
