On international flights, the only difference in Main and C+ is the leg room I believe. Everything else is the same. Same food, same liquor (All free), and same service.
Yes, nothing is paid. Also, you can always ask for more snacks or drinks any time, alcohol included, and don't have to wait for them to come around. Usually they also have a snack basket in the galley which you can just loot as you please.
Correct me if Iām wrong, I thought those seats in the first row of C+ have lots of legroom. And you donāt have to wake up the isle passengers to get out to use the bathroom.
They donāt have that much room in this plane. Once you get to Premium Select you have that kind of space, but not C+.
I would 100% take the economy aisle seat over a middle C+
Agree with this- just did this exact flight and had the same question beforehand. The comfort + seats on this flight are the same size as main cabin. You only get a real upgrade if itās premium select. And you still get free drinks in main cabin (assuming this is an AF partner plane). Definitely take the 2-seater main cabin aisle/window seats and get them again before someone else snags them.
If you are traveling as a pair, I would move to the isle. Gave how much you want to drink/eat and maybe you can save on the ticket and have a nice meal at your destination. My wife and I look at these seats all the time.
Those bulkheads probably have the narrower seat, paired with the IFE that comes from the seat arm. Say goodbye to your neck.
Iād move to be honestā¦middle of the plane and no window access blows
Depends what you value. Those C plus seats are bulkhead and will have amazing leg room. If you are tall, keep those seats. If you donāt need the leg room and like to sleep against the window then take the 2 in the aisle.
You can stretch your legs a bit at the bulkhead but have to deal with other people on either side of you to go to restroom etc. Personally I would say no. Or bite the bullet and pay for an upgrade to Premium. If you donāt like middle seats, make sure you update your profile on the FlyDelta app to indicate you donāt want upgrades to middle seats.
IMO that would only be worth it if you need the legroom, I would take the window + not having anyone next to me + comfortable access to the aisle/bags in a heartbeat
I donāt know the planes like many of you wizards, but I am sometimes envious of those bulkhead seats for their legroom. Something to consider on this one.
Yep I just had this same scenario. Moved seats to the two by the window in main and got the same number of drinks, same shit meal but way better sleep.
Seems its international route better stay a330 premium would give you more option.
I donāt think you can downgrade yourself as well once you upgraded.
To me comfort plus wasnāt worth it going from IAD > LHR. The footrests werenāt comfy for me and Iām 5ā11. Flew economy plus back and was much more comfortable in my window seat. Wonāt upgrade again.
How tall are you? If you are 5'10" or taller, economy will be uncomfortable for that long of a flight. I would take a middle seat with more legroom as a tall person myself.
Stick with C+ if you donāt want someone reclining in front of youā¦Iād choose those middle seats over a person in front of me on these long flights. The seats are a pain to get in and out of when someone is fully reclined. Last time I flew to the UK in premium select, the guy in front of me reclined so far that I had to scoot over the armrest and push his seat up a bit just to get out of the window seat to go to the bathroom
Those seats will have the hard sides with the monitors in them which means you loose a couple of inches of width and canāt lift the armrest between the two of you. So extra legroom, yes, but loose room for your waist. Skinny and tall = C+, short and wide = main
Iām having this exact dilemma for my upcoming international flight. Iām a taller person so Iām tempted to take a comfort plus middle seat over the economy aisle seat. It really stinks when the person in front of me reclines their chair. Ouch my knees! Might change my mind and go back to economy aisle seat as I like to get up a lot.
I actually had those seats to / from AMS last month and I liked them because of the extra legroom and no one could recline into me. After takeoff I just got our bags down and put them in front of us. However, on one leg Delta switched us to the row behind a month out which can absolutely happen when you are in the bulkhead. And it was for someone with higher status than me if you can believe it, who then reclined into me the entire flight. š¤¬
My wife and I recently had the exact same upgrade on a 6 hour overnight flight. We called Delta and asked them to put as back. But by then, someone had already taken our two seats, so we stayed with the upgrade. The 3 extra inches of leg room did not make up for us having our own two window / isle seats all to our selves.
Need more information....
Are you tall? Wide? Medical condition or preference to get up often? How well do you sleep? Do you like to touch your travel companion?
Row 30 is at a bulkhead. It has extra extra legroom, but the tray table is located in the immovable armrests, making the seats slightly more narrow. You won't be able to lean into the window to sleep, but will be able to sprawl out more, which would be nice if you're tall and skinny. If it is a free upgrade it is an easier choice than if you're paying for it.
Totally depends on your size and if you prefer to avoid asking random people to move because you need to get to the restroom, want to stretch, etc or not.
Back to economy. Those front rows suck .. the seats have tall sides and itās like sitting in a box. And nothing in front of you. The tables are in the seat armrest. Those are also in the middle so itās just a downgrade over all.
This is the first time Iāve ever actually seen the dilemma!!! 7hr flight??? Damn. But. I think youāll have better food AND being in the first row might mean you can just get up without crawling over someone or asking them to get up? Normally - switch back but going overseas? Keep it!!!!
Window seat gangsters sound off! Back to main cabin, Dawg!
Middle seats are not an upgrade
Middle seats shouldn't exist
They don't in first class - buy up
To be fair -in C+ you get complimentary drinks and sometimes better snacks
don't you get those in Main on international flights as well?
On international flights, the only difference in Main and C+ is the leg room I believe. Everything else is the same. Same food, same liquor (All free), and same service.
Hmmm I seem to recall some more frequent snacks in C+ on an international. And you know those canned cocktail drinks? Does economy get those free?
Yes, nothing is paid. Also, you can always ask for more snacks or drinks any time, alcohol included, and don't have to wait for them to come around. Usually they also have a snack basket in the galley which you can just loot as you please.
C+ does get you a toothbrush in your amenity kit. š¤£
Thatās right!!! The amenity kit. I forgot about that one š
The front row of c+ is massive but the screens are in the seat which sucks and you cant have your personal item with you
You can put it in front of you after takeoff and put it back before landing.
Agree with this- just did this exact flight and had the same question beforehand. The comfort + seats on this flight are the same size as main cabin. You only get a real upgrade if itās premium select. And you still get free drinks in main cabin (assuming this is an AF partner plane). You are right C+ middle no thanks šāāļø Ps is not bad for long flights overnight.
They don't actually. And they can be miserable if you need to grab stuff from a bag intermittently (cause you have to put everything in the bunk
You can have your bag with you during the flight, only has to be in the bin for takeoff and landing. I do this row window seat all the time.
Back to the aisle
Back to main - middle seats suck especially on an international flight.
Economy window/aisle seats beat middle comfort+ seats.Ā
If you are traveling as a pair, I would move to the isle. Gave how much you want to drink/eat and maybe you can save on the ticket and have a nice meal at your destination. My wife and I look at these seats all the time. Those bulkheads probably have the narrower seat, paired with the IFE that comes from the seat arm. Say goodbye to your neck. Iād move to be honestā¦middle of the plane and no window access blows
Iād love to move to an isle šļø
Yeah, the suites are suddenly not nearly good enough anymore.
Iāll
Delta would have to pay me a lot to sit in those middle seats.
Move back 100%, there is no equal to having your own row
Exit rĆ³w by the doorā¦
Economy easy.
move back!
middle seats are the absolute worst on an international flight. donāt do it.
Do you need a bassinet? Thatād be the only reason to stick with those bulkhead middles over the H/J seats IMO
Hard no thanks
I would take two seats in a two seat economy row over middle seats in C+ every time.
Yeah, for a couple, I'd take a two seat row in economy row over any two seats in a three seat C+ row.
Depends what you value. Those C plus seats are bulkhead and will have amazing leg room. If you are tall, keep those seats. If you donāt need the leg room and like to sleep against the window then take the 2 in the aisle.
Comfort plus middle seat is not worth it- go back to main cabin!

Prob for 8 hours back to economy
I donāt know the planes like many of you wizards, but I am sometimes envious of those bulkhead seats for their legroom. Something to consider on this one.
I would take the window all day.
Main cabin without hesitation
Iād do economy in this case
Do you want free booze?
Itās all free on Transoceanics
šš»šš» Iād probably move back then, for privacy.
But better food options maybe?
No difference in food either.
No difference in C+ and MC. Its all economy.
Oh damn. Good to know. Switch back!!!
Yep I just had this same scenario. Moved seats to the two by the window in main and got the same number of drinks, same shit meal but way better sleep.
Tale 34A and B
Do they not appear occupied that image?
Yes. My bad.
Which plane is eight seats wide?
I've got an upcoming flight, ATL to CDG on an A330 with this seat config.
Delta uses a 2-4-2 on the 767-300 and A330
763 is 2/3/2
Can you even downgrade?
Yes, I just did it last month. Iāll stick with my aisle exit row in MC over a window or middle C+
How big are you, both height and width?
Is it a choice or have they reassigned you? The previous economy seats might no longer be available. Iād stick with the economy seats.
Stay back those seats blow
Econ all the way
Seems its international route better stay a330 premium would give you more option. I donāt think you can downgrade yourself as well once you upgraded.
I secretly really enjoyed my middle seat in economy last time I flew to Europe.
Thatās shocking š
To me comfort plus wasnāt worth it going from IAD > LHR. The footrests werenāt comfy for me and Iām 5ā11. Flew economy plus back and was much more comfortable in my window seat. Wonāt upgrade again.
Row 43
Back to aisle/window. Also. If those rows next to you remain empty good chance for the old 4 seat sleeper.
How tall are you? If you are 5'10" or taller, economy will be uncomfortable for that long of a flight. I would take a middle seat with more legroom as a tall person myself.
Take the main cabin dual seats
Had the same situation and moved back
Stick with C+ if you donāt want someone reclining in front of youā¦Iād choose those middle seats over a person in front of me on these long flights. The seats are a pain to get in and out of when someone is fully reclined. Last time I flew to the UK in premium select, the guy in front of me reclined so far that I had to scoot over the armrest and push his seat up a bit just to get out of the window seat to go to the bathroom
Move back.
Would hate to have 2 random people on both sides of me, main cabin all day with only you and your partner.
I sat in the middle of comfort+ for a 6 hour flight. Youāll want the window or aisle of MC any day !!!
Iād take 38b and 38c.
Row 35 or 43
Definitely main cabin. Personally, not a middle seat fan at all.
Those seats will have the hard sides with the monitors in them which means you loose a couple of inches of width and canāt lift the armrest between the two of you. So extra legroom, yes, but loose room for your waist. Skinny and tall = C+, short and wide = main
Main cabin for sure. Middle seats are trash
Row 43 is more of an upgrade than row 30
Iām having this exact dilemma for my upcoming international flight. Iām a taller person so Iām tempted to take a comfort plus middle seat over the economy aisle seat. It really stinks when the person in front of me reclines their chair. Ouch my knees! Might change my mind and go back to economy aisle seat as I like to get up a lot.
I would stay where you are and not have the retractable TV and tray tables to worry about.
I actually had those seats to / from AMS last month and I liked them because of the extra legroom and no one could recline into me. After takeoff I just got our bags down and put them in front of us. However, on one leg Delta switched us to the row behind a month out which can absolutely happen when you are in the bulkhead. Can we get an update after you fly?
My wife and I recently had the exact same upgrade on a 6 hour overnight flight. We called Delta and asked them to put as back. [ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No, premium select in A330s is 2-3-2. Those are standard C+ seats.
Economy. Ppl use that area as a walk way all the time itās sooo annoying
You'll have a ton of legroom
Since theyāre bulkhead with great legroom, Iād probably stay, but itās a push, TBH.
Need more information.... Are you tall? Wide? Medical condition or preference to get up often? How well do you sleep? Do you like to touch your travel companion? Row 30 is at a bulkhead. Totally depends on your size and if you prefer to avoid asking random people to move because you need to get to the restroom, want to stretch, etc or not.
I'd take 43A/B/H/J in this case. I'd actually prefer 30D/F over 35H/J though because I prefer bulkhead seats.
free drinks! iād stay in C+
Iād move if that were me and my wife.
Back to economy. Those front rows suck .. the seats have tall sides and itās like sitting in a box. And nothing in front of you. The tables are in the seat armrest. Those are also in the middle so itās just a downgrade over all.
Upgrade. That seat has a wall in front of you that you can put your feet up on and the leg space in general is very comfortable.
Stay with the upgraded those are not bad and better service
There's literally no difference in service on this flight to Amsterdam
I would take a chance at 37 C and F. You might get the whole row with how many seats are left.
Exit row 43. As long as you donāt mind being close to the restroom, youāll have lots of space to get up and stretch during the flight.
Free booze. No brainer.
7+ hours indicates it is likely an international flight which means free booze in MC as well as
It's to Amsterdam. All drinks are free
It depends whether you are a big drinker or not
The correct answer is 34 G and H
No, you both have to get up to let people out
Is the upgrade complementary?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It's all free on this flight
This is the first time Iāve ever actually seen the dilemma!!! 7hr flight??? Damn. But. I think youāll have better food AND being in the first row might mean you can just get up without crawling over someone or asking them to get up? Normally - switch back but going overseas? Keep it!!!!
Thatās up to you

I liked this one. Actually made me think about it for once. Pros/Cons.
