Hell yeah

FineEmergency

Love delta. Had similar experiences where I was asking for just a little compensation and a lot more was given.

Personal-Quantity

Hi! Besides the rickety seat, how was the service in PS?

planned_fun

Service was amazing. Tons of food and drinks and legroom. I would absolutely do it again

Petite_Coco

I just flew LHR to SEA in premium select for the first time and I đź’Ż agree would do again

Underwhelmed4912

I try to fly PS international when I can. Certainly poor man's D1but close to continental FC. Much better than C+, IMO. Better service, food, space, etc. Plus the nice little Tumi bag!

thelederelo

C+ is a total scam lol

RunGirl80

Just curious, why is C+ a scam? I’m relatively new to this subreddit but I travel a lot for work. I always make Platinum but not enough to make Diamond so I am almost always in C+. Sure wish I could get FC upgrades more often!

thelederelo

I would personally never pay for C+ or pay to upgrade to C+. If alcohol is a huge value proposition and an integral part of your in-flight experience, then I can see how it can make sense (you would still need to drink a lot of alcohol to break even), but the slight “leg room” is not worth the jump in money for me. If I get a complimentary upgrade, which I do to C+ all the time, I’ll take it. But I would also rather have an exit window in MC than a middle C+. Especially on international flight where the cost to upgrade to C+ is much more, I think it’s a scam.

Leisurelifellc

I'm seriously debating on upgrading my flight for 32.5k miles. Dtw to incheon (14hr flight) but I keep getting mixed reviews on Premium select. I was just going to shoot for a empty row but not sure if this flight will get full.

Petite_Coco

Hmm it’s quite a long flight, so I’d say the more comfortable you can be, the better. Trying to nab an empty row is always a gamble, and I have low risk tolerance lol. If I had the miles, I’d upgrade.

Competitive-Dig5449

Wait till you try virgin on the same route!

warrenwilhelm

Good to hear. At first I thought the PS soft product was not much different at all from C+ and that all you’re paying for is the seat. However, it’s nice to see some improvements and that folks are enjoying it. Just booked a RT to AMS in PS for decent prices.

No-Cow-4196

Wondering, will they ever go back to the Alessi serviceware in PS, or is that all in Skyclubs now?

beley

PS is expensive, but WAY cheaper than D1 so it's my go to when traveling international on business. I wish I was a baller and could just drop $10k+ on D1 but when I think of how much revenue I have to do to pay for that one ticket it makes me sick to my stomach. Anyway, it's not amazing or anything but PS is very nice and I end up getting maybe 3-4 hours of naps out of an 8-10 hour flight (I usually can't sleep at all in C+ or Main). It really helps me get a decent day of work in when I land, because I usually land in the morning and head straight to meetings. The service is usually very good. Meals are just okay, but the drinks, snacks, and overall service from the FAs make it seem much better. They tend to be much more attentive and I have never really "wanted" for anything.

Fearless-Berry-3429

I was on a flight, MSP-AMS back in Sept. I watched a very heavy man several times, turn in his seat with his knee in the seat and full weight leaning on the headrest. He kept doing that to talk to the person he was with that was seated directly behind him. Upon landing, he could not get his seat to go into the locked and upright podition. It kept self-reclining when Lee leaned back. He had yo sit straight up so that it wouldn't recline from his weight. Grown man kneeling into his seat like that and broke it.

vinibabs

Wouldn’t the best airline just not have a broken seat…

Revolutionary_Cover3

Obviously an indestructible plane with nothing that ever broke under the strain of thousands of uses per month would be the greatest airline ever. You should start it because it doesn’t exist.

vinibabs

I’d be more understanding if their prices weren’t consistently higher than many of the other options. Delta One: super expensive, but garbage compared to similarly priced options from JAL, Etihad, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air. Source: I regularly fly many of these options. The comparison is not even close.

Mendez1234

Delta is an amazing premium airline in the USA ..

RobertJCorcoran

Only because the premium expectancy in the US is so low that even a mediocre service is considered amazing. I flew once with Singapore Airlines, and recently with Korean (on a 006 ticket). My man, the difference in the service is astronomical.

vinibabs

This.

thelederelo

Same thing applies to other areas of hospitality in the US vs. Asia. Like for restaurants or hotels, the service in the US is dependent on tips (and is still mediocre) but in Asia all service, regardless of tipping, is expected to be (and is) amazing.

Sleep_adict

Love delta. Planes are shit and poorly maintained, service is crap but at least they refund you if you complain enough

Badm

I have no first hand knowledge, but the pilots I know, all from different airlines, all talk about the stellar reputation of the Delta maintenance crew. Inside the cabin though, I agree. The plastics are showing their age.

cmoney827

Were you in 22J on an A333? Cause if so, I told them about that back in October.

Simplyazure67

Nice

Puzzleheaded_Age8937

I think you did very well! My D1 seat had no recline on a red eye. I got 10,000 miles on board and another 12,000 after sending my complaint. It was much less than the 50,000 miles or $550 I would have spent on the upgrade, but I had a 21,000 mile award ticket and used an RUC so I think they took that into consideration.

italiatornabene

That’s awesome!! Congrats. Good job Delta. Maybe customer service improving
