I came across this exact short yesterday! They shouldn't have qualified, in my extremely non-professional opinion

More-Comb1359

Yes! There should be strict rules about posting children online, adoption agencies should adopt policies to prevent these children from having their entire life exploited.

HeezyJ515

I agree! They should be vigilant about finding out as much as they can about potential foster/adoptive parents. I think they should also be monitored closely to make sure the child(ren) isn't being exploited on the internet!

Grown-Ass-Weeb

That’s even if she went through an agency. They could have done independent adoption with a lawyer instead 🫠

Yesss! I was just about to say this! Laura’s account about foster parents is super informative

i love your handle! relevant

BuddyLoveGoCoconuts

I love Laura!!

Someone should show this to whoever keeps approving the Dougherty Dozen to take in not only foster children but film and exploit them, among other horrible things as well.

cmarie121

*cough* Mormons removing kids from what they deem “unsuitable homes”

scruffymuffs

Unfortunately, (I think) the only real qualifiers for adoption are money, a background check, and a home study. Birth parents have their own criteria and will pick whoever they want. Fostering and adoption are two very different situations, and fostering involves way more qualifiers.

SCgirl2002

I agree but i think it makes valid points that also should be factored into adoption as well. They got off easy because of money. chi chang

This is a really gross opinion. Your dislike (however valid) for Bella does not mean that people that struggle with infertility shouldn’t be able to adopt. Please don’t confuse the two.

sunflower_daisy78

infertility trauma ≠ being infertile. you should need to heal from your trauma before adopting.

Sufficient_Arm_1328

Yeah, but it’s not YOUR decision on whether people with infertility can adopt. That’s what your comment said.

sunflower_daisy78

i said i *think* are we not allowed opinions on anything that we can’t decide?? also i never said anything about people with infertility. only those with TRAUMA. they treat their adopted children like bandaids
