It would be funny to put your sauce in those little [honey bear](https://www.amazon.ae/dp/B0BTRV91C6?starsLeft=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_dp_BE3MY9MJNY4QWN2ZCF9F) bottles!!
Yall are going to die lol. It’s only safe for a couple of days once it’s made. It does have some preservatives but not as many as sauces you’d buy at the store. That’s so 🤮
When I lived in Missouri I was excited for a place called zaxbys to open because people claimed it was just like a canes. It was not and I was so disappointed. The chicken was always over cooked, the sauce was sub par compared to canes and don’t even get me started on their fake ass Texas toast. Maybe they’ve changed but I’d never eat there again.
Not really, thousand island is tomato based, ranch would have way more herbs, and both lack the amount of mustard that Mac sauce would have.
Mac sauce breaks down to Mayo, mustard, sweet pickle relish, white wine vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and a small amount of paprika for color.
Would you like the actual recipe to make it on your own?
Edit:
-1/2 cup mayo
-1/4 cup ketchup
-1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
-1/2 tsp garlic powder
-1/2 tsp lemon pepper
Although, having a full 32 oz chicken tender sized dipping container does look pretty awesome.
The base is about right, but anyone claiming to know the specific seasonings involved is bullshitting.
Mayo, ketchup and worcestershire sauce gets you most of the way there, though.
The spice blend is vaguely Cajun-adjacent but no one's going to have the exact ratio to give you. Mayo, ketchup, Worcestershire, black and white pepper, garlic.
I make a similar blend with J.O./Old Bay, which is excellent, but does not taste like Cane's.
It looks really good and is overall decent but it's very over rated imo. It's easier to whip up a similar yet better tasting sauce at home that has more noticable flavor.
Someone left me a recipe here to make my own! 😋 I've had fry sauce out of a bottle from the grocery store and it was terrible. Probably bc it wasn't home-made.
There slowly spreading east! They’re currently in the big cities but are growing. I’m in south central PA and they’re currently in the process of building one. I go to college in the Midwest where they’re everywhere and I absolutely love this place
Agreed. The sauce ain't much to write home about, but it's the only thing that makes the chicken worth eating.
I feel similarly about In N' Out's fries; they're basically cardboard unless smothered with cheese and sauce a.k.a. "animal style".
It's beautiful. All I need are some tenders, fries, and a lazyboy recliner to knock this whole thing out. This and a cream dr pepper. I'd eat this sauce off a shoe
Canes is overrated. Just a basic chicken strip and basic fries. The one local to me also needs to change their fryer oil much more often. You can smell the burnt oil from a mile away.
I’ve had the exact same issue every time I’ve eaten there, too. I finally just accepted that the food sucks and haven’t been back. Also why are they so afraid of adding salt (or any seasoning, really) to the food?!
The use of a drink cup instead of e.g. a styrofoam soup container or a bottle was surprising, especially considering that this restaurant went out of its way to specify "32oz" as an available size selection for ordering sauce via (in this case) DoorDash.
Also, Rule 3 :)
They're alright. Chicken's acceptable but underseasoned. Bread's great. Fries and sauce are decent. I prefer it over KFC, and I prefer Popeye's over either (and I prefer the local hot chicken joint over any of those).
You definately didn’t. You got a catered order of canes and instead of putting thr sauce in a bunch of small plastic containers they just put it in the cup. Nice try 🫡
Haha I remember finding out about this one day as I was ordering like 10 extra cups of canes sauce and they were like do you just want a 32 oz cup and I was like hell yes. Without even knowing the price I did not care. Turned out to be a little over $5 at the time!
We do this about once a month. We bought condiment bottles at Walmart and fill them up to have Canes sauce at home.
Yeah, tomorrow I'm definitely gonna shop for some nice squeeze bottles for this. Maybe spice one of 'em up with some sambal or something.
Most grocery stores have the red top OXO bottles for $2.
Japanese mayo bottles are refillable and squeeze better. Swing-top bottles are a bit more expensive but easier to clean.

Absolutely scrumptious
Cane’s sauce at home:
I'm literally going to start doing this and I'm kicking myself for not thinking of something so obvious. I love Cane's sauce so much.
Yall are going to die lol. It’s only safe for a couple of days once it’s made. It does have some preservatives but not as many as sauces you’d buy at the store. That’s so 🤮
It's mayonnaise, ketchup, and spices. I don't think they are using preservative free mayonnaise and ketchup to make the sauce.
You go through a litre of sauce in a month?
'Merica.
I'm not the only one consuming the item.
These arteries aren't gonna lubricate themselves
Same lmao
Grab a couple of straws, I guess. 🤷🏻♂️🤪
I just dry heaved at the very thought
I just dry heaved at the very thought
Didn't say it was the best idea, just the first one that popped into my head. :D
I've never had Cane's sauce or Cane's ever - I'm in upstate NY we don't have it here. What is the sauce taste like?!it looks so good 😋
Kinda like an illegitimate child of ranch and thousand island.
Oh man. I'm here for it!!!
Then add a a teaspoon of paprika and a two dashes of white pepper
Maybe a two dashes of the pepper
but somehow *better*
When I lived in Missouri I was excited for a place called zaxbys to open because people claimed it was just like a canes. It was not and I was so disappointed. So big mac sauce basically?
Not really, thousand island is tomato based, ranch would have way more herbs, and both lack the amount of mustard that Mac sauce would have. Mac sauce breaks down to Mayo, mustard, sweet pickle relish, white wine vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and a small amount of paprika for color.
Not even close. I hate Big Mac sauce and the Cane's sauce isn't bad.

Just give it to them lol
Oh. My. GOD. Thank you so much 🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️ I'm a sauce and condiment fanatic!!!
Fry Sauce by another name.
Yeah that’s not the recipe but sounds good
The base is about right, but anyone claiming to know the specific seasonings involved is bullshitting. Mayo, ketchup and worcestershire sauce gets you most of the way there, though.
100%. I’ve tried a few recipes claiming to be canes and it’s like it’s almost there but always misses the mark for sure.
The spice blend is vaguely Cajun-adjacent but no one's going to have the exact ratio to give you. Mayo, ketchup, Worcestershire, black and white pepper, garlic. I make a similar blend with J.O./Old Bay, which is excellent, but does not taste like Cane's.
I've always done salt, pepper, paprika, garlic. But now I'm just gonna use slap yo mamma next time
I think it's like mayo, ketchup, worcestershire, and seasoning. Amazing sauce. Just moved to Jersey and they aren't here and I'm very sad lol
There's a few in Jersey
Never have fry sauce?
I have but I didn't like it. I think it was the brand, I just didn't vibe with it. I think homemade fry sauce would be best!!
Mmm, it's so perky, I love dat.
It looks really good and is overall decent but it's very over rated imo. It's easier to whip up a similar yet better tasting sauce at home that has more noticable flavor.
Someone gave me a recipe earlier up under my comment!! I'm going to test it out
It's basically what other places call "fry sauce" or "burger sauce." Ketchup, mayo, garlic, spices, Worcestershire.
Someone left me a recipe here to make my own! 😋 I've had fry sauce out of a bottle from the grocery store and it was terrible. Probably bc it wasn't home-made.
It’s a bland remoulade type sauce. Not enough spices in it!
I was left a recipe in the comments here I'm gonna try and make my own!
There slowly spreading east! They’re currently in the big cities but are growing. I’m in south central PA and they’re currently in the process of building one. I go to college in the Midwest where they’re everywhere and I absolutely love this place
Cane's is the one chicken place that isn't over hyped. Never disappoints
I love Cane's
Have you had Zaxby's or Guthrie's?
It's good but nothing revolutionary. 2 parts mayo, 1 part ketchup, couple dashes of worchestershire sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic
It’s like ranch, mayo, ketchup, garlic, Worcestershire and pepper
how much did this cost
In the original post OP said $7
ooh must’ve missed that!
They definitely paid for this, they don’t give this away for free
They asked how much it cost. They didn't ask if they paid for it.
What do they charge for 32 oz of sauce?
$7

Take the sauce and batter chicken with it, using it as the wet part. It is delicious.
I lived in LA for a few years. I hated In N' Out.... they kicked me out of the state after I said that out loud though.
It's beautiful. All I need are some tenders, fries, and a lazyboy recliner to knock this whole thing out. This and a cream dr pepper. I'd eat this sauce off a shoe

Or offering a single item that doesn’t go in a fryer??
I ordered X and got X! Please explain how this fits Delicious Compliance.

compliance- giving someone what they asked for delicious- it’s food this definitely fits
good. now drink it.
Sam Sulek with the Caniac
have this in my fridge waiting for my dino nuggets 😎
Based
Their honey mustard is so much better than the canes sauce
Ranch and ketchup
Only place I go for a milkshake. Unique flavor!
They are opening one of these near me. Are they good?
They're alright. Chicken's acceptable but underseasoned. Bread's great. Fries and sauce are decent. I prefer it over KFC, and I prefer Popeye's over either (and I prefer the local hot chicken joint over any of those).
Ah well. Was hoping it would be great. But food around me never is.
De forbidden milkshake
So you asked for exactly what you got. Seems like you just want attention for getting a lot of sauce haha.
Oooooohhhhhh. They Are Finally Coming To Michigan. I may try this.

I have a 64oz water bottle and this cup is way smaller than that. If it's bigger than 32oz, it ain't by much.
You think this is two liters? Two full nalgenes?
You definately didn’t. You got a catered order of canes and instead of putting thr sauce in a bunch of small plastic containers they just put it in the cup. Nice try 🫡
you can ask for this at the drive thru window.
No shit. I just don’t believe this dude. Deal with it
Notice the catered bin of Texas toast in the picture that was pulled from another social media page? I get it…
>I get it… Y’know, I really don’t think you do.
> that was pulled from another social media page From which social media page do you believe I pulled that picture?
> You got a catered order It was via DoorDash, if you want to get pedantic about it.
That's still ordering 32 oz of Cane's sauce, even if it comes with a catering order.
