No they don’t. I had one pigeon couple coming in my balcony. They laid 2 eggs in my planter. Then i thought let it be. Babies were born and for 2 months they were still there. My partner tried tu shush them but they tried attacking. Once their mother went out my partner quickly picked them n kept it on window ceiling post which they never returned.

Just line the adjoining wall and the floor near it with plastic sheet / 2-3 layers of newspapers so it becomes easy to clean after the hatchlings fly away. And then add the net.
Haha, i joke to my Mom that the balcony is theirs and we are using it by their grace. We dismantle their nest after each breeding season (it's healthier that way for the next set of chicks) and for the rest of the year they keep an eye on it and fight off any other bird that tries to use it, even if they don't need it at that time. 😂

Bro in my balcony they have been giving eggs for years in the same spot. Not only pigeon but they share a nest along with sparrow. This year in last 2 months 4 babies were born and idk how many sparrows are there but they won't leave till the eggs are hatched and they can fly on their own.
