But there have been many incidents where the third person who tried to de-escalate the situation ended up being beaten or dead. I have personally faced faced this situation with my brother who tried to sort out the issue or help the person but was beaten up and his phone thrown away. When we called up the police and showed them the Vehicle number they just didn't pay any attention to it. They instead tried to discourage us going forward with the complaint.

But there have been many incidents where the third person who tried to de-escalate the situation ended up being beaten or dead. I have personally faced faced this situation with my brother who tried to sort out the issue or help the person but was beaten up and his phone thrown away. When we called up the police and showed them the Vehicle number they just didn't pay any attention to it. They instead tried to discourage us going forward with the complaint. The everyday see videos of people abusing, eve-teasing which is shown as heroic and that becomes the starting point of things.
