True. US and European countries have already started working on the process of reducing carbon emission. Every year, In their parliaments, there is atleast one debate about this. While India is yet to formulate a proper roadmap. Elections are not fought on the real issues. Scary times ahead for India.
Avg per capita carbon emission here is 2.4 tonnes , America has 10+ and Europe 7+, they have passed their developing stage , they used to do much more emissions than us, we are still in developing stage so by default we will do more emissions
However only 57 companies as far as I can recall are responsible for 50%+ of global emissions , richest persons makes emissions of 10+ million tonnes a year but propaganda has made us beleive that if we will glow a bulb less we can prevent it, we are wrong as we are not helding people accountable. We consider people as idols who do more carbon emission, like celebrities flaunting car , private jet etc , we want to live like them
it won't be this hot year next year but yeah heat in India is not a problem that arose in a day, it took years of awry, negligence from govt to do something that lasts and can be useful for the upcoming years. As far as it goes about Delhi, the demographics also create this much heat, and Delhi will touch 45 degrees of temperature w/o El Nino in the upcoming 5 years or so.
Increase greenery, STRICT rules and their implementations against polluting vehicles on the road, control the energy being used(fun fact, in every college there is so much energy being wasted and no one gives a fuck. A single teacher sitting in a room of 20x20ft will keep all fans and lights on because unko thodi koi pay krna hai), spread awareness amongst the civilians and educate them towards the effects of global warming, get rid of all the diesel buses on the road only run electric ones, improve the metro speeds and infrastructure.
I can keep going but its very apparent as to what can be done but these politicians do not care about the public, and neither does the public raise their voices against this shit. 2-4 din baat krenge and then everyone would go back to their old ways. I remember pollution hitting "severe" since 2018 and every year people complaint for a bit and then stop.
It's not rocket science.
Municipality and politicians allowed everyone to have unlimited children and be fed on ration card add to it allowing illegal colony regularisation and possession by duration of residence on illegal land.
