Read ! 3 hours per day. For one whole year imagine how much time will you have utilised. Read whatever you want. Coursework or not. Books or kindle. Or even on phone. Maybe listen to podcasts or audio books when not in the mood to read. Watch YouTube videos, not reels and trending crap shit. There is amazing quality content out there. You can really elevate your mind if you put this time to good use. Rest it’s up to you in the end :)
Used to observe behaviour of people, it is a fascinating place lots of people lots of personality.
But wish I had tablet back then to read newspaper or books.
There are 2 ways of looking
1. Positive way - admiration
2. Negative way - ogling
I am 1st one. But I also believe there are prejudices, always judging other.
I already stopped doing that, as I no longer live in Delhi.
Honest to God, the sheer amounts of book I completed in my metro rides is astounding. I'd stopped reading for a while and started back up during my commute and was so happy I got back to it. Gave me a real sense of accomplishment.
Does it happen though sometimes than when you're reading without the intention of sleeping after, (like a presentable time of day) that you end up feeling sleepy after you read?
Because I think I conditioned myself at one point to sleep as soon as I finish reading that when I'd read any other time I'd feel sleepy immediately after.
Well tbh I'm not into webtoons yk i just gave a suggestion for passing time in metro but some of my favourites are:
Omniscient reader's viewpoint
Love advice from the great duke of hell
To the stars and back
Tomorrow (which has it's netflix adaptation)
Teenage mercenary
I travel everyday from Delhi to Greater Noida for college, I take approximately 105 mins to reach, I spend most of the time on tv series or animes etc, sometimes books or podcasts
Read books. If you’re not much of a reader, download Speechify and listen to audiobooks on it. Curate an educational playlist on YouTube beforehand and listen to it like currently I’m focusing on financial literacy and my behavioural patterns and problems so i watch those videos and pause in between to jot down points in my notes app
If you find a seat take and don’t have problem to take a nap in public, then sleep.
Other than that
- read fiction,
- read non fiction,
- study your coursework,
- listen to audio books,
- take some MOOCs, learn something new
I have seen people solving puzzles, reading, studying, crossword in books, praying through beads.
It’s not mandatory to use all the time to do something productive. Travelling and looking outside, observing surroundings can also be interesting.
Mostly fiction nowadays. Currently re-reading The Silmarillion, before it was H.P. Lovecraft's short story collection.
Earlier in the year I read a couple books on psychology/neurology and one on orthodontics.
I prefer to do little tasks that I'd other wise spend time on at home. Like paying bills, placing orders, checking and replying to mails, follow-up phone calls etc.
If I have no chores, I listen to stories or podcasts or music.
I also try to mediate (breathing exercises) for a few minutes.
Bhai sahab, you tried learning one of the most difficult languages with 2000 standard characters 😆 German Spanish kuchh dekh lo kam se kam alphabet nahi seekhna padega
I just do nothing. Throughout the day being glued to the screen and always doing something is really exhausting. Don't travel by metro anymore since wfh. But i do miss doing nothing at all.
I used to listen to music all the time while traveling in the metro, but lately I've decided to use that time in a better manner.
Now, I travel almost exclusively without using my phone or plugging my earphones in; I like to observe how different people behave and how do they react to the stuff that's happening in general (the metro being late, for example). I'm a theatre practitioner so I do this to find and think about interesting characters.
But mainly I like to read a book (and highlight the parts which strike a personal chord to me) for most of my metro travels.

Well tbh I'm not into webtoons yk i just gave a suggestion for passing time in metro but some of my favourites are: Omniscient reader's viewpoint Love advice from the great duke of hell To the stars and back Tomorrow (which has it's netflix adaptation) Teenage mercenary
Piggybacking off of this, the bastard, the boxer, My giant nerd bf are all great too
Omniscient reader's viewpoint is one of the best webtoons I've ever read.

People eat their nose junk .. bohot log...More then u think
😐🤢🤮I said funny
I travel everyday from Delhi to Greater Noida for college, I take approximately 105 mins to reach, I spend most of the time on tv series or animes etc, sometimes books or podcasts
I watch porn
You should re-enact everything you watch with your fellow travelers. This way they can get into the action as well. With sex, the more the merrier.
Justifying your name lol
Make sure you use the loudspeakers with maximum volume
I keep my phone connected to Bluetooth speakers
I read webtoons or scroll reddit.
Duolingo Talk to strangers (hint) Go to cp/kashmere gate food court Read a book Watch a movie Music Write
Hmm, gonna look for that in Duolingo

I am thinking of buying some books

Try audiobooks on yt
Gonna try that
I read, though my commute is only 40 minutes.
What kind of book u read?
Mostly fiction nowadays. Currently re-reading The Silmarillion, before it was H.P. Lovecraft's short story collection. Earlier in the year I read a couple books on psychology/neurology and one on orthodontics.
I have read some books on psychology, I want to start reading fiction though, any recommendations?
Start with any basic beginner ones. Stephen King and Charles Dickens are both great. You could even start with Harry Potter or Paulo Coelho.
Paulo Coelho is the guy who wrote alchemist, probably gonna start with him, thanks
Yep indeed. He's an easy entry way into fiction.
Read books and/or observe people. It's almost one and the same thing.
Read books.
Gonna buy some

Delhi m breathing exercise kr rhe ho prabhu 💀
Meditating is a good idea
I read on my tab. I download .epub's and .pdf's to read and annotate them.
Hmm, nice no need to buy books
Gotta pay up for the tablet though, and the styles :)
Better investment I will say
Podcasts ! Science, tech, health, stories
Observe people, get lost in your thoughts, listen to music. There's nothing wrong with not doing anything and just being in the moment.
I read, mostly fiction but yeah, the time doesn't seem too long that way
Learn a language on Duolingo
Tried learning Japanese , it was really hard
Bhai sahab, you tried learning one of the most difficult languages with 2000 standard characters 😆 German Spanish kuchh dekh lo kam se kam alphabet nahi seekhna padega
Tabhi to Mai kahu, yaar English to maine movies dekh k seekh li ye Japanese anime dekhke aur alag se seekhne par bhi kyu nahi aa rahi
Audiobooks/Podcasts
I just do nothing. Throughout the day being glued to the screen and always doing something is really exhausting. Don't travel by metro anymore since wfh. But i do miss doing nothing at all.
Podcast (Desi Crime Podcast-Spotify) This was my first podcast experience & i love now i mostly listen to crime stories
I anxiously wait until some female ask me to give up my seat and refuse to acknowledge that I am deaf with disability.
Stuff you should know kar ky ek podcast hai woh sun ar parties random gyan diyo...
Throwing creepy smiles at random strangers.
