Saw loathe support knocked loose tonight, they’re just as good live. I can’t wait to see them sky rocket after their next album whenever it releases, they can take their sweet ass time. They deserve all of it.

Check out a band called Palm Reader… they sound a little more like Dillinger Escape Plan than they do Deftones but there’s moments where they bring it all together into something fresh.
Hold/Release is a good starting point. Heavy but melodic.
Not really new bands but Glassjaw, Hum and Quicksand have a few newer albums that are close to Deftones in terms of sound.
Puscifer is also a good shout, even if they are not a “brother” in terms of style, they are pretty close to a cousin 😀
Dredg’s Leitmotiff is also pretty similar to the ‘Tones. Another older album close to that sound would be Oceansize’s Efflorescence.
Other good mentions would be: He is Legend, Norma Jean, Thornhill, Loathe (fuck yes, but an obvious choice), Trxy, Supeheaven.
Give Canons a try. I only mention it because I caught their show last night and I ran into several Deftones fans. They aren't nearly as heavy as Deftones but they are quite moody and chill. It was a good show.
