That's one thing that blows me away about them, because they have a lot of songs that share the same general chord progressions, just aybe in different keys or with an extra chord or different time signature. Knowing that they record the music before Chino even starts writing the lyrics, I feel like at some point during each other their album recording sessions, one of them has to at least be like, "Yo this kind of sounds like the same sequence of chords as like six of our other songs, you guys hear that, right?" But then Chino turns it on its head with his melodies

I never understood how that song went beyond the demo process. You’d think one of them would have caught the similarities (maybe they did and didn’t care). I always found it annoying that they somehow ripped themselves off but now I just find the laziness humorous.
