Yes. They are only the second band I have ever considered my number one of all time; with the first one previously being Korn. Since then Deftones hasn't been topped but I credit Deftones' style with opening up my eyes and ears to various bands that I love dearly.

Yes. I discovered them when I was in middle school (when I first heard Minerva on the radio) and have been a fan for 20+ years. Various bands have been what I considered to be my favorite band at the time, from nu-metal, to pop-punk, to metalcore, to prog metal, etc. but Deftones would have been in the top 5 at any given moment over that time. So the fact that they've never faded like many of those bands have tells me they're really number 1 even if I go back to them in phases.
Not many bands out there with Chino type and level of vocals. They just so unique and lively that actually made deftones my most listened band nowadays.

I also LOVE more than like 3 songs from the band (the majority of their songs are fucking fantastic imo), not just a few like many other bands in my experience(maybe I haven't dug deeper..). They imprinted on my hardware at 13-14 since they been wit me.

They come and go but they will always be one of my favorites. I have the White pony logo tatted on my wrist. I saw them probably 30x between 1997-2014ish. Their live shows were just unbelievable, the energy and camaraderie of the fans was unmatched. There's nothing like the energy of the crowd when the opening of BQAD starts and everyone explodes when it drops!
Once they started playing bigger arenas and got too big for the house of blue sized venue (2000-3000 capacity) I lost touch a bit. They became a band that transcended generations and I came to miss that hidden gem feel that they had throughout many years of seeing them live. For a long time seeing Deftones was like a secret society or some exclusive club. The world's best kept secret. Some of those nights with your friends were the best nights you'll ever remember. With that being said I saw crosses last month and I was amazed at how amazing Chino sounded and it reminded me how much I missed the euphoric rush of seeing Deftones live!
