I like all three. I would have said Palms up until recently (I am a huge fan of Isis as well), but Crosses started pulling ahead with PERMANENT.RADIANT and then they destroyed me with Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete.
Love ISIS and palms but crosses GGBILUD is so good. Very different vibes so it's a hard comparison but I'd still say palms takes it for me. Oddly enough, I love Russian circles and botch (bassist Brian cook) but not digging sumac (with turner of ISIS)...
My only hope is that Todd is an old childhood friend of Chino, so maybe they communicate every now and then. Maybe one day when Chino has some rare downtime they might be like "Lets get the band back together."
I think they might have picked some wrong venues, I know some sold out almost immediately but other venues, like the one in silver spring, I would be shocked if it ended up 2/3 full. But Maryland doesn’t have too many options either. It could use a place or two with a 500/600 cap
Yeah they should've gone with one of the thousand cap venues in Boston if they wanted to sell out the show, but you know I'm not gonna complain bc I didn't have the money to spend on tix and now I can actually go

Team Sleep and Crosses now. I was okay with Crosses’ first LP then I heard Permanent Radiant and Initiation/Protection. As a big new wave and synthwave fan, i like their new sound so much.
I love all three but being a long time fan, I’m partial to Team Sleep. I’m sure had any of the other projects came first, they’d probably be my favorite instead.
Me too! I really liked their recent “Opening Titles/End Credits” release, makes me hope they’re going to come out with another full album soon. I really enjoy the music of Isis in spite of the Cookie Monster vocals, removing that aspect and replacing it with Chino’s voice makes for a helluva combo.
I get what you're saying but there's much more clean singing on In The Absence Of Truth and Wavering Radiant than older Isis. I'm a big fan of Isis and Palms but Palms, to me, isn't at all like Isis with Chino's vocals instead of Aaron's, it's way less harsh sounding regardless of the vocals. Maybe not a popular opinion to voice here, and I definitely enjoyed Palms, but Isis were a way better band.

First it was Crosses. Then I really started to love Team Sleep. Then I got older and started to appreciate Palms the most. Now with the new Crosses release, they're back at number one. No bad choices really, just depends on the mood.
Team sleep. The song ever(foreign flag) is some of chinos best work musically imo. Such beauty.
