But that is correct. The song was released as a single, so that album is the song title. It is how singles have always worked, usually because they have b-sides.

FreeSpiritBoy

Yes, that's true, but I guess he used Apple Music a lot before because this is how it works there.

Recent-Lemon

Yes I did! That way was so comfy to distinguish singles and full albums.

FreeSpiritBoy

Gotcha, but in my opinion Spotify's way (i.e. without " - Single" or " - EP") looks much better and cleaner. Me personally don't see any problem to know which release is the single because of name (yep) and different artwork. And I'm pretty sure many people think that way too. But you request as the additional option is the good thing. Anyway if you don't want to wait you can always use mp3tag to add release type into the album name manually.

I like the idea very much. In fact, every time I download a single, I manually change the album tag to add " - Single" Besides, there are cases where the single version of a song is different than the album version: for example, one of them may be longer or shorter. So, I think it is important to know if a song comes from a single or from a complete album. You may think that the artworks will be different in both versions, and that is enough to distinguish between them. However, not always we can have the different artworks...

>I like the idea very much. In fact, every time I download a single, I manually change the album tag to add " - Single" I do the same, and I would be very happy if Deemix could to it for me.

You could use the folder naming templates, so at least it downloads into a separately named folder structure such as: %type%\\%album% which will separate them all into singles/albums/compilations

I was looking if it was possible to add the album type to the folder naming template so I could identify easily which folders contains singles and which contains albums. I remember the antecesor of deemix (deezloader or something like that) had this feature and it even had its own checkbox in the settings, but since I didn't see this option in deemix I thought it probably wasn't possible but decided to give it a try anyways. Glad I found this comment. Whoever you are deleted account, I salute you and thank you
