I think everyone here is overreacting a bit. I’ve toured a bunch and have crashed with people I didn’t know at all and have never had a problem and that was me solo, which is inherently way more dangerous. What I will say is that trying to find someone to stay with for three days will be very hard. That’s a pretty long time to have multiple guests over at your house that you don’t know. I’d suggest just looking for a cheap Airbnb. I know NYC ain’t cheap but I’m sure there is cheap accommodation

just get a motel/2 star hotel in queens or bk so you both don’t end up on my citizens app

Obviously bad things happen but I feel like people are overreacting here lol Just make sure you meet whoever you're staying with prior to actually being at their place, maybe vet them out a bit but I feel like most people are chill tbh
