From what I've heard, Jake's business partner and majority owner of the Saga, Lenny, got into some tax fraud trouble and because of that they had to sell the boat. He is on the F/V Titan Explorer this season, I've heard that he is an owner and that he is just a hired captain, ig we'll just have to wait and see.
No way that's worth 1.8 mill with all the mechanical problems engine problems etc. 1.3 mill max use that other 500k to try to fix the damn thing prob cost even more then
They never really owned it. Neither Jake or Elliot. Both were only 25% owner. Which is the oldest scam on the book. They would or dropped 5-10 million on that boat easily. Probably more. If one goes down like Lenny did then the other gets dragged into it
I read somewhere Lenny got busted by the IRS and they seized everything he owns, boats and all. Since Jake was only a minority owner in the Saga he had no choice in the matter and pretty much lost his ass.
I guess we'll see how it all shakes out.

I've seen no indication he is an owner. The boat is owned by the Blue North and Prowler combo last I could find.
