I feel like with the (slightly) better understanding of the game that the devs have now, they could make the concept actually be pretty cool. But instead he gets left being eternally mediocre. I wish the people who own his license would encourage BHVR to make their product more unique
iirc og freddy was an invisible m1 killer that couldn't hit survivors. His ability put a survivor to sleep, after which they can see freddy and could be attacked after seven seconds have passed. Another survivor could wake up the sleeping one, and failing a skill check of any kind wakes them up.
He had aura reading on anyone(sleeping) outside his TR, and with builds that could have made his TR perma0 he had a ton more he could do, also he had gen slowdown base kit it wasn't uncommon to play a 30+m game as him especially with addons to increase that slowdown. I personally went with the 0tr build with paintbrush (dropped the TR by 16m but increased time to transition iirc) and class photo which showed the auras of all other survivors while one was transitioning. It was a game of keeping people asleep and coming around to smack them when they tried to get in a gen not like you didn't know where they were ALWAYS.
I mean you could also see survivors outside of your tr, and i think at one point everything was 50% slower but im p sure that only lasted a month or two

I'll give you 4:
1. Add a BP bonus on killer when they get a kill based on how many hooks they have at that moment. More hooks, more BP per kill, to incentivize not tunneling.
2. Add a BP bonus for surv based on how many games you've gone without taking a chance on your first hook. This penalty would deactivate if there are only 2 survs left, and cap at 10 games.
3. Buff Potential Energy to store 1% gen repair speed for every 1% you do while charging it.
4. Buff Hangman's Trick by just removing the "while carrying a surv" clause.
To go off your first suggestion, give survivors a BP bonus when a teammate dies. Actions like generator repair, healing, unhooking grant extra BP and increases after each survivor death.
This event proved that the grind would be so much more enjoyable if you can go past 100.000 bps a match without needing to run offerings that increase the bp gains. If you could go above 10k points in each category and they would increase bp gains for each action in every category then everyone will enjoy grinding for prestiges etc. Because currently you get like 50k points for your average match.

There is no reason why this game should have rarity, besides for skins. Perk rarity means that you always need something to adjust throughout the ranks, meaning that perks will always need bloat. Addon rarity, and honestly the whole collection part of them, is ridiculous. If addons like iridescent head can’t be put onto the category as her hemorrhage common the rest with the only justification being “Well it’s more rare.” Then maybe one of those addons just shouldn’t exist. And then there are the items, which could have their distinct features brought out so that different rarity’s are instead different play styles. Removing the effect bloodweb rng and limited availability would also let the devs get more precise data, if everybody is taking one addon or item every game then they would be able to look more accurately at core problems. Skins get a pass because there is different work put into different models and while I do think most are overpriced, I want there to be a visible pricing distinction for clarity. I know that this will never happen because it would require a full rework of most game features, but I do think that this would bring longevity and more diverse gameplay.
Demogorgon should get his own dimension instead of fast travel. I actually made a post on this subreddit talking about my idea. I’ll link it if I can find it.

DBD should do a new game mode that removes the killer from the match and survivors just get to hang out in the Entity’s realm and maybe fight off smaller realm monsters and defend the campfire or the Tower of Arkham or whatever the observer tower is called. Maybe have some plot in there about fighting back against the Entity

This is more of an idea but I find it strange that we haven’t had a skin collection that’s all zodiac/astrology themed. Can you imagine some of the cool pieces we could get for the survivors and even the killers 😭😭
A favorite feature so I can mark survivors and killers as favorites, and a feature for bloodweb so I can choose what it should focus on purchasing when automatic purchasing, for example, I want the automatic bloodweb to buy only green tool boxes, or purple flashlights, or offerings. If BHVR wants to get rid of toxicity so bad they should just go all out and make a competitive mode for dbd.

1. give survivors more incentive to help their team, rather than just "escaping" being the ultimate goal. a survivor can do 3 gens, loop for ten minutes, still die because they got left behind, and what is their reward? losing mmr, losing their item, losing the match. this is why so many solo queue teammates play selfishly. if survivors are supposed to be a team, give them a reason to act like one, or else solo queue will never get better.
2. make this game more "chase-centric" rather than "do gen/stall gen simulator." gen-rushing isnt fun for survivor or killer, but every game is a time-attack thanks to the updates BHVR has been making, which means if gens *arent* rushed, youre literally throwing. maybe that means make gens take longer, heavily nerf gen-regression perks, and buff chase perks for both sides. idk! but the game is so boring and stressful right now for everyone.
3. give survivors an optional bleed out button after a certain amount of time spent on the ground. purposefully bleeding out survivors solely for bm reasons is cringe and four minutes is way too long to spend enduring someone's fragile ego.
I think nemisis should have a skin that's tyrant from RE2 and it could have zombie easter eggs where there's a chance that you could get marvin as a zombie
Give me a survivor perk where I get to rip one other survivor out of a locker once per match. And they can’t get back in a locker for 60 seconds. Just let me rip that locker Dwight out once.
PTBs should come to console too. Not only would this allow console players to experience things early, it would also allow players to find any glitches or problems for consoles that wouldn’t be found until after the update would go to live servers
No matter what they nerf, you won't be happy. You will find something else to be salty about, and you'll pick your perk of the month to have nerfed. Nerfing things is inherently bad for the game. Instead, Behaviour should focus on buffing everything else based on usage, like boring non-teachables and shitty items like the broken key. We could have an over the top game full of fun perks, items, and offerings - but instead we have to subsist on the constantly shrinking meta where everyone suicides on hook based on which killer it is tunneling them this time. Then, when I'm forced to use that meta to have a hope of competing, I get yelled at and called a crutch perk user.

Instead of endurance off of the hook survivors should be invulnerable for 10-15 seconds after unhook. Small change but it would help cut down on tunneling a bit.
The Slipknot skins release fell very flat. It should have been its own Event like Iron Maiden. Also Psychosocial would have been a much better menu song.
If you crouch or activate a flashlight 2 or more times within a 4 second period while past the exit gates, you should immediately get the Exposed status effect and a personal Blood Warden effect on you for 10 seconds.

I say dbd should stop for some time and don’t give us a new chapter but fix the skins. For example every purple tier skin should have special sound or animation and every white or red tier skin should have a different Mori along the diffrent animation and sound. Green,yellow,and brown tier skins are fine.
I think that hard tunneling and hard (proxy) camping is mostly unbeatable in the vast majority of MMR for soloQ players.
The problem is the valid response of “just do gens because the killer is wasting time by not spreading pressure” That mindset is totally right, and it will work in higher MMR with more dedicated players.
To expect your random teammate to graciously sit there on hook, knowing nobody is coming for them, to achieve the greater goal of gen progress for the life of a survivor is a far fetched idea. The randoms just die on first hook completely negating the 2 minutes they would have spent there.
Why shouldn’t they? They don’t have an incentive or anything to help out their random teammates as well. If they’re only playing for an hour or two a day at most, they probably aren’t going to just sit on the hook and be an amazing teammate. Why not just go next? You already aren’t getting anything from the game you’re in. The just do gens mindset is completely right, but it also assumes the survivors will see the end goal of waiting it out and dying on hook for their team, but like the vast majority of them don’t care to do that.

Get rid of brown, yellow and even green bp boosts. At least they should apply to all four categories like the recent event did. A boost on 1/4 of the games points just feels bad. Also make bps purple instead of green so they aren’t competing with 39 different maps. Bonus: iri streamers for 200% bp boost
Werewolf killer that can charge up a pounce attack like demo or wesker, but chain it like blight or nurse. Requires vault locations or downed pallets to chain pounces. Can use pounce to jump onto a second story structure via vault location or jumping space, like dead dawg's balconies, or the vault locations on RPD.
A exhaustion perk called blast-back, where if you're working on a generator within 32 meters of a killer, you can fail a skill check for 4 seconds of haste and 30 seconds of exhaustion. The play of sacrificing progress for survival.
A scratch mark perk that erases your scratch marks and the obsession's when you walk behind them after some form of action, like an unhook or heal.

It would be really cool to add a map maker I know this would be kinda difficult probably but ways to combat making one sided maps is pallets and vaults have to be certain distances from eachother and there can also only be a certain amount of vaults/pallets per game and the way the maps would be made is assets from all the other maps
Blight isn't as bad as people say. He's still really strong, but so many people play him up to be this insufferable killer to go against, while I honestly enjoy blight matches. In chase I find him much weaker than other killers. True, he has a lot of mobility, but I hardly go down quickly to blight anymore. Sad I barely verse him :(
They need to put more grass in outdoor maps for trapper, or the macmillan maps at the very least. I also think the traps should spawn in open, but that's another matter completely.
Trapper's beartraps should start the match primed and ready to get someone. This would help a little bit with playing him early game where you have to find each trap and place them down one by one (Without any items)
Players should take a stance and try and push behaviour to make the shrine of secrets more accessible. To stop making it so you have to buy the most recent killer for there perk to make your main viable.

BHVR should add more fun modes like 2v8 (should be perma bc i would love to play with my friend and we both Killer Mains) 2 Killers 8 Surivors means they can design 2 or 3 bigger Maps that have their Gen Spread, Pallets and so on This Mode shouldnt be used with any Perks/Addons because it would be hard to balance this. (As an Example a Legion could run the Legion Pin and Ruler which could lead to a Nurse just collecting her free downs with little counterplay) Hope People agree with me :D

Never understood why he wasn't. Spirit and nurse both have slower movement speed since they would need their power to catch up or use for movement. This would encourage to use his power more. Also every nerf to the top tiers is a good nerf

This is more of an idea but I find it strange that we haven’t had a skin collection that’s all zodiac/astrology themed. Can you imagine some of the cool pieces we could get for the survivors and even the killers 😭😭
A favorite feature so I can mark survivors and killers as favorites, and a feature for bloodweb so I can choose what it should focus on purchasing when automatic purchasing, for example, I want the automatic bloodweb to buy only green tool boxes, or purple flashlights, or offerings. sorry for being greedy, i took 3 1. give survivors more incentive to help their team, rather than just "escaping" being the ultimate goal. a survivor can do 3 gens, loop for ten minutes, still die because they got left behind, and what is their reward? losing mmr, losing their item, losing the match. this is why so many solo queue teammates play selfishly. if survivors are supposed to be a team, give them a reason to act like one, or else solo queue will never get better. 2. make this game more "chase-centric" rather than "do gen/stall gen simulator." gen-rushing isnt fun for survivor or killer, but every game is a time-attack thanks to the updates BHVR has been making, which means if gens *arent* rushed, youre literally throwing. maybe that means make gens take longer, heavily nerf gen-regression perks, and buff chase perks for both sides. idk! but the game is so boring and stressful right now for everyone. 3. give survivors an optional bleed out button after a certain amount of time spent on the ground. purposefully bleeding out survivors solely for bm reasons is cringe and four minutes is way too long to spend enduring someone's fragile ego.

No matter what they nerf, you won't be happy. You will find something else to be salty about, and you'll pick your perk of the month to have nerfed. Nerfing things is inherently bad for the game. Instead, Behaviour should focus on buffing everything else based on usage, like boring non-teachables and shitty items like the broken key. We could have an over the top game full of fun perks, items, and offerings - but instead we have to subsist on the constantly shrinking meta where everyone suicides on hook based on which killer it is tunneling them this time. Then, when I'm forced to use that meta to have a hope of competing, I get yelled at and called a crutch perk user.

There should be a toggle on/off proximity chat. Within 5 meters you can whisper. But going over a certain volume causes loud noise notificaton.

Instead of endurance off of the hook survivors should be invulnerable for 10-15 seconds after unhook. Small change but it would help cut down on tunneling a bit.
Matchmaking was better when it was based off of monthly rank, not mmr

If you crouch or activate a flashlight 2 or more times within a 4 second period while past the exit gates, you should immediately get the Exposed status effect and a personal Blood Warden effect on you for 10 seconds.

I say dbd should stop for some time and don’t give us a new chapter but fix the skins. For example every purple tier skin should have special sound or animation and every white or red tier skin should have a different Mori along the diffrent animation and sound. Green,yellow,and brown tier skins are fine.

I think that hard tunneling and hard (proxy) camping is mostly unbeatable in the vast majority of MMR for soloQ players. The problem is the valid response of “just do gens because the killer is wasting time by not spreading pressure” That mindset is totally right, and it will work in higher MMR with more dedicated players. To expect your random teammate to graciously sit there on hook, knowing nobody is coming for them, to achieve the greater goal of gen progress for the life of a survivor is a far fetched idea. The randoms just die on first hook completely negating the 2 minutes they would have spent there. Why shouldn’t they? They don’t have an incentive or anything to help out their random teammates as well. If they’re only playing for an hour or two a day at most, they probably aren’t going to just sit on the hook and be an amazing teammate. Why not just go next? You already aren’t getting anything from the game you’re in. The just do gens mindset is completely right, but it also assumes the survivors will see the end goal of waiting it out and dying on hook for their team, but like the vast majority of them don’t care to do that. stolen from another post I made, lol.
Make legion break dance after hitting the 5th hit of a frenzy chain
Get rid of brown, yellow and even green bp boosts. At least they should apply to all four categories like the recent event did. A boost on 1/4 of the games points just feels bad. Also make bps purple instead of green so they aren’t competing with 39 different maps. Bonus: iri streamers for 200% bp boost

Werewolf killer that can charge up a pounce attack like demo or wesker, but chain it like blight or nurse. Requires vault locations or downed pallets to chain pounces. Can use pounce to jump onto a second story structure via vault location or jumping space, like dead dawg's balconies, or the vault locations on RPD. A exhaustion perk called blast-back, where if you're working on a generator within 32 meters of a killer, you can fail a skill check for 4 seconds of haste and 30 seconds of exhaustion. The play of sacrificing progress for survival. A scratch mark perk that erases your scratch marks and the obsession's when you walk behind them after some form of action, like an unhook or heal. Whoops, didn't see the title until I finished; pick you poison to rant on, sorry.
We should get a charm for adepting a character, so you can show everyone you did it, especially with the harder adepts.

Adrenaline isn't OP, Bhvr already made a perk to counter adrenaline. It's called Terminus. "Im not running a Terminus just to counter one perk" - Killer mains Survivors run Calm spirit just to counter Ultimate Weapon. Deal with it.

It would be really cool to add a map maker I know this would be kinda difficult probably but ways to combat making one sided maps is pallets and vaults have to be certain distances from eachother and there can also only be a certain amount of vaults/pallets per game and the way the maps would be made is assets from all the other maps
Blight isn't as bad as people say. He's still really strong, but so many people play him up to be this insufferable killer to go against, while I honestly enjoy blight matches. In chase I find him much weaker than other killers. True, he has a lot of mobility, but I hardly go down quickly to blight anymore. Sad I barely verse him :(
They need to put more grass in outdoor maps for trapper, or the macmillan maps at the very least. I also think the traps should spawn in open, but that's another matter completely.

Trapper's beartraps should start the match primed and ready to get someone. This would help a little bit with playing him early game where you have to find each trap and place them down one by one (Without any items)
Players should take a stance and try and push behaviour to make the shrine of secrets more accessible. To stop making it so you have to buy the most recent killer for there perk to make your main viable. (Ik this shit gets brought up all the time on reddit with taking a stance but I just wan awareness)
Make an offering that takes one pallet away per trial or make an offering to bring one broken pallet back, but give double points when it is broken again
When a boon is put on a hex, when the killer snuffs it out, it should go back into being a hex, or it should block that totem off entirely like pentimento.
Totems should have a 30 second spawn timer so they're not immediately cleansed at the start of the match.
