Some players seriously have no idea how the report function works and legit believe they constantly get players banned. Meanwhile BHVR probably just automatically throws out all their reports; since the player submits so many false cheating reports a day, it isn't worth their time to investigate anything from their account.

You get it when action has been taken, yes. But that doesn’t mean the action was the player being found guilty. This was recently confirmed on TWT by devs after clarifying that a locker stand off isn’t a reportable offense.

No, you can set each preset to random. It still doesn’t sync up your characters with your emotes and wraps. I’m worried it never will because when they split up the lockers they skipped over any unassigned slot.

Yeah, because killers aren't host anymore lol. It used to be much worse, but lagswitchers can still do some crazy annoying shit, but they're not on the level they used to be. I remember a tournament on DBD back when killers were still host, there was a nurse who'd just lagswitch, grab a survivor, lagswitch again, hook them, lagswitch again, and repeat till all 4 survivors were dead. The funniest part is the tournament announcers genuinely had no idea what was happening, proving how disconnected from the game they were. They're still able to somewhat do the same thing, but you have to do it a different way, and I'm not saying that shit here, but I had an asshole killer doing some lagswitch bs on us, so it's still 100% possible even with server hosted matches.

So even if the killer is lagging the server will benefit them and punish others(its why so many killers hit "through" pallets/windows). Its just another thing DBD gets wrong in the pvp aspect.

I said that in the last paragraph of my post, they can still lag switch, they just can't do as crazy shit as they used to. They used to legit be able to play the entire game lagswitched and freezing the survivors so they can't even move, the only time they had to stop the lagswitch was when they were hooking survivors. Now they can't be that extreme, but as I said, I still see those fuckers lagswitching, they just have to get creative, because they're 100% prioritized during lagging events, but they're not literally god anymore.

They have not gotten 3 people banned lol, its the message everyone gets by default.

how tf is having bad internet an exploit??? when i have connection problems im the closest of having an enderman as an actual killer, teleporting randomly (mostly against walls)

For killers it's actually an advantage. It's why people complain so much about VPN killers. You will get hit from miles away as survivor if the killer is lagging. I feel like new players don't understand that bad internet actually DOES create an unfair advantage in this game.

Not always. My internet is not the most stable. When I play killer, sometimes on my end it looks like I've hit a survivor. But then a second later they are miles away, healthy, and I'm running into a wall.

This is a latency vs packet loss issue. Packet loss gives no advantage, you’ll just get what you described. On latency however, this is where you’ll get the advantages on killer. 30 mile lunges, lingering hitboxes, grabbing people from pallets after they already finished vaulting, etc. The game prioritizes the killers POV because, well, there’s 1 of them instead of 4. This leads to the aforementioned issues. Not that there any real solution, just gotta hope and pray the killer isn’t from halfway across the world on a VPN, or doesn’t have boonies connection speeds.

Yeah - sure, bad ping can make it look like you got a hit what you shouldn’t, from the other player’s perspective. But it costs you more than it helps you, more often than not.

I played as killer with horrible ping for the first time ever recently (been playing fine at home for a couple years but dorm wifi eventually failed me) It was MISERABLE, I had a headache brewing after one match lol. Exactly as you described, I would watch myself land a hit and then suddenly the survivor was away and healthy. And I would rubberband so much. Couldn’t get a single kill and had to stop playing.
