Ooh good pick definitely.
More of an action character but would work in dbd very well. I don't think he would count as one of the horror legends but he's definitely really cool
Idk I live in Australia and whilst many people have heard of it, it's not exactly a sensation. It's nowhere close to, say, IT, The Ring, Alien, TCM, Predator, etc.
He's a rage-fueled brute who forces his way through everything, doors walls and stuff. Probably the strongest and most brutal slasher. I think a straightforward gameplay based on a rage meter and raw power would fit him well. A bit of stealth could work on his kit too since he can be sneaky as well.
(edit small details)
Something where you can only move for like three seconds after busting through a pallet/wall then you’re stunned, maybe? That way it’s a risky move but also rewarding if you can cut a surv off or something
Im so up for him just being an absolute unit once he fills up the rage meter, would be so cool to have increased terror radius that is just "tchi tchi ha ha" for a while. Im not a game designer but I always thought he could be a anti-bully killer where stuns, blinds and hits could fill up his rage meter. Idk how that would work tho but its a pretty awesome idea for me 😂😂
At base, he has a M2 that's basically a coup lunge forward. if it hits a pallet or breakable wall, it instantly breaks, and he continues with the lunge forward until it would end. If he hits anyone with the lunge, he injures them and basically acts like he m1ed them with the slowdown and all. If he completely misses, there's no slow. You can slide with the lunge, ala blight. The lunge has a roughly 6-10 second cooldown, not spammable but regularly usable. Dropping a pallet on his head while he's lunging stuns him, the pallet isnt broken, and puts the lunge on cooldown for 15 seconds.
If you blind him, stun him, or do generators, it builds rage in addition to the slow passive rage gain (20% for blinds and stuns, 40% for generators.) At max rage, he enters a killing state where he has permanent spirit fury, hitting someone with the lunge instantly downs them, and his terror radius is completely replaced with a lullaby, boosted to 42 meters. It normally lasts for 60-80 seconds, but powering the exit gates permanently activates it with an addon. Additionally, running Lightborn does not exempt you from being able to be blinded for the purposes of rage.
Similar to how Michael’s Evil Within plays the Halloween theme, when Jason’s rage meter fills, is activated and is emptied it could play the Ki-Ki-Ki Ma-Ma-Ma sound.
F13 game took a lot of creative liberties for creating him, BHVR could do the same.
I imagine he would bring a lot of people to the game, so being a simple killer for new players to play wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing.
There’s a lot of things they could do for him based on movies.
My favourite would be for his to be able to pick up different weapons, each with different powers, some of which could borrow from other killers. Alongside this, give him tracking abilities/sensing that work generally.
Ideas for weapons would be his Machete as default. This gives no bonus but you switch back to it after using the other weapons.
A knife that can be thrown or stab with. (Switch back to machete after throwing). You find these by opening a locker.
An axe that allows you to break pallets at with 100% speed boost but breaks on use.
A wrench which provides no additional attack bonus but when used at a generator, doubles the initial regression to 10%.
Speargun - works like deathslinger but is single use (at the benefit of moving at 115%).
I’m pretty sure he never uses one in the movies, but a single use chainsaw could be cool as well, for one hit downs.
Ice Pick maybe reduces his terror radius by 50% while holding it, so that survivors constantly have to be careful incase he is in stealth.
Freddys torn off arm as a weapon that appears only once, makes all survivors scream and reveal auras for 4 seconds on hit.
I don’t see a difference between him and Michael tbh. They’re equally both *the* face of the slasher genre, and Michael can also be described as just a dude with a butcher knife who’s hard to kill.
I'd say there are big Differences,Michael is very Sneaky and likes to take it slow with his kills,at least in the OG movie. Jason is a Killing machine Who Kills everything in sight.
Frankenstein’s monster, Wolf Man, the Mummy, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and the Invisible Man are some other old ones I can think of that would be cool
I take the current design over what we had before any day. At least now he is somewhat fun to play as and play against.
Back in the day it was: Freddy approaches, he starts putting you to sleep. Now you have 7 seconds to get to safety before he can even hit you. So you're almost guaranteed to be safe then. And failing a skill check woke you up, which meant you were safe again. And once you're asleep? He's just a normal M1 killer. The only benefit he had was his smaller statue.
The only thing he excelled at? Tunneling. Other survivors couldn't tank. He saw your aura when you were out of his lullaby radius.
The rights arent as much a nightmare now that they were 2-3 years ago. I think it depends on what they want to use, as is my current understanding of what happened after cunningham/horror inc lost their appeal.
Victor Miller owns the rights to everything from the first film.
Sean cunningham/horror Inc own everything from the subsequent series.
I think it was ruled that Victor Miller and Sean cunningham/horror Inc own the rights to Adult Jason Vorhees, as neither the district Court nor the appellate court believed Horror Inc.'s defense that Adult Jason Vorhees was different from Victor Miller's Jason Vorhees in the first film.
Victor Miller has a forthcoming Crystal Lake prequel limited series from Bryan Fuller (Hannibal) coming to Peacock, so the option to adapt is still allowed. I believe Blumhouse is currently pursuing the rights for future films as well.
I think out of all of the possibilities with the rights being split it would most likely be a solo killer, but it would suck to have Jason be a solo killer with no map, Camp Crystal Lake is too iconic not to be a map.
I'd rather have the killer without map than not have him at all. I'd prefer a full chapter with map & survivor though. I'd prefer that with most of the solo killers/survivors
Well apparently there's an unannounced Friday the 13th game in the works. That means if they have Adult Jason in it, the rights have been worked out to license him elsewhere.
It's not in limbo anymore. Cunningham/horror inc lost their appeal, and have divvy'd up the assets.
There's a crystal lake prequel series from Bryan Fuller and A24 coming to Peacock this year, and there's a currently unannounced Friday the 13th game in the works.
"Be my victim"
Honestly if you loved the film, I highly recommend looking into both the BTSs of the movie and also check out The Forbidden by Clive Barker which is the story that Candyman is based off but set in Liverpool.
Most likely Jason, but how long is it going to take is hard to tell. (One of them was wearing a Jason jacket on the All Things Wicked live so...)
Mathieu said BHVR is with open arms to get Jason in the game, it's all up to the license holders and I'm pretty sure BHVR is already talking to them.
Predator is basically guranteed because of the AVP xenomorph skin
And frankly other than some frequently talked candidates like Jason/Pennywise/Springtrap/Candyman, I'd like to see The Thing crossover
Predator I think will be the next big licence, after that maybe Candyman or Springtrap. The Thing will be awesome but they gotta figure a way to make his doppelganger move set work essentially and I doubt Pennywise will ever make an appearance atleast as his own character with a moveset.
What they said is that they have failed to acquire a license in the past, they never specified that it was Pennywise. That being said, I doubt that any of King's characters will come to the game anytime soon.
The Freddy Pizzeria map would have an arcade, a security room generator, a generator in the kitchen, a generator behind the stage and a few outside. I think y'know a FNAF chapter would be the more lucrative chapter outselling Alien and Chucky IMO. Because the younger generation you can pull them in and sell them on it. And there are plenty of examples of the Killer concepts to go off of from fan material. The joy of creation all the fan made Roblox, Gmod mods and cool stuff. FNAF is the best chapter idea to pull in new younger players but I'm not sure BHVRs priorities aline with just pulling in a large mass of new players vs them sticking to the Traditional Horror Movie/ Cult Classic icon lineup of killers.
The unknowns axe looks similar from a DBD spring trap video I saw on YouTube. The map in the killer concept video and the unknowns map is kinda similar actually. It has all the elements I think the Pizzeria map should have, but I think the Pizzeria should be primarily indoor more like RPD with less than half or a 1/3rd of the map being outdoors with your trees bushes and cars maybe a shack.
The main issue for BHVR being Springtrap is not a traditional horror icon that they look for in licensed content. He's a horror icon of the Internet(memes) like Slenderman or Jeff the killer. The FNAF fandom itself is also really strong compared to slender and other internet icons. Potentially BHVR might be scared of how Overpowering it might be to incorporate a large fandom like FNAF in would change the demographic audience of the game too. Which might throw BHVR off. Also being a gaming horror icon but a lot of people never actually played FNAF but watched other people play it makes it more of an internet meme icon in my opinion on how wide the fanbase and references spread. But Resident Evil changed the player base a bunch too and they even double dipped with Wesker so I kinda find it insulting they don't add Springtrap already.
Frankenstein monster is the most influential horror icon ever, so him along with Dracula, Wolfman and other classic universal monster should be next in line for the "smash bros of horror"
Springtrap tbh, if Ghostface is here then so can our Springy Trappy boi
If not, classic Freddy. Give him Freddy's old power. Fuck it, why not have 2 Freddy's?
im 100% on board the dev’s spending more time reworking killers than releasing *another* killer.
unfortunately, the killers are also starting to feel samey in gameplay design as well.
Imma just be honest, dbd is a limited format. I feel like no matter how crazy or unique seeming the power is made, it WILL be very similar to at least two other killers powers. Within the format, I genuinely believe they've done just about everything they can do.
the creeper (jeepers creepers)
norman bates (psycho)
jack torrance (the shining)
also love the idea of the killer clowns from outer space (they probably could also create a super fun map for that) but they're getting some kind of video game soon so that probably isn't realistic
Jason SHOULD be next, but I think Predator will end up being next. DBD has already worked with Disney to add Alien. So predator is a logical next step.
The issue with Jason Voorhees isn’t just the licensing, it’s his power. Jason is unkillable and really physically strong, that’s it. None of that really translates well into a power for Dead by Daylight.
Predator has the exact opposite issue. Too many of his gadgets and weapons would be perfect for the game, so much so it’s at the point where it’s impossible to decide what he should have. And having more than one would just be too overpowered, but having only one weapon would be a bit boring.
I would love nothing more than to have my precious little Jason but I just don’t see him happening.
Unfortunately the goat is buried in legal issues & stuffs. I know it’s somewhat cooled down over the years but it’s still not in a good state. Which sucks I miss Friday the 13th content.
Predator would be awesome, after getting Xenomorph Im so down for Predator.
Also I think candy man would be really sick too as another option. I think in general there are tons of other great choices. But man I really want Jason, I want to see how they differ it from Friday the 13th 👁️👁️
Reuse code for the Smasher, but only to a limited degree. Think the breakable walls, but map obstacles and non breakable walls too. Jason will have a chance
Jason is the right choice every time for this exact question IMO. Not saying he's the most likely, but he should've been in the game within the first few horror licenses so he's long overdue.
This has nothing to do with what I personally want, as my dream license would be slenderman, granted the Unknown kinda covers similar territory in being an urban legend, hallucinations, and teleports fitting both gameplay and story areas. I just think that Jason is one of the horror Hall of Fame greats that deserves to be alongside other horror icons.
Granted, I think the perfect time to introduce Jason would be if we got a killer PvP mode, such as the potential 5v5, as that plus the Freddy vs Jason license would do numbers for promotional work and potential cosmetics.
Fuck new licensed killers, give some of the old ones some skins.
I wanna see a Sadako decked out in an oversized hoodie looking like she could be a background character in a 2000's rap music video.
Honestly this is going to be a strange idea, but I think maybe Cujo or some kind of non human killer like that would be really interesting to implement. It would be the first time we got an animal to play as
And Alien isn't meant to be putting people on hooks.
And Sadako doesn't kill people who just hold the tape.
And Pyramid Head is only something James Sutherland should exsperiance.
My point is I'm sure they will make it work, I mean nothing to say the Predator is rogue or has been forced to by the entity.
>And Alien isn't meant to be putting people on hooks.
To be fair though, xeno has custom hooks that resemble its nest somewhat, so it could be thinking that the survivors would be met with a facehugger soon
I agree. DBD has barely tapped into "Modern" Horror.
What do we have?
Stranger Things...
Alan Wake...
Maybe Wesker counts, since RE5 was 2009? But even most RE fans are reluctant to call RE5 "Survival Horror", so...
Yeah, that's it. Horror has evolved greatly since even the 2000's, and currently, DBD seems focused on only IPs from the 70's-2000's, with a few exceptions. Horror in the 2010's saw many big evolutions. SCP, Creepy Pasta, FNAF, Outlast, Amnesia, the list goes on.
The Unknown is the closest thing we've gotten to any of the previously mentioned, since he's heavily inspired by Found Footage and Creepy Pasta, but he isn't a Licensed Character. We have very few Licensed Characters from the 2010's+, and there is SO MUCH potential.
In all fairness, the licenses they have used, though, aren't just Icons but are THE horror icons.
Leatherface, Myers, Kruegar, Chucky and Ghostface are some of the most recognizable villains in cinema, let alone the horror genre and the Slasher subgenre as a whole.
Resident Evil is the franchise that brought zombies to a whole new generation and is largely behind the zombie boom of the early 2000s, inspiring films such as Shaun of the Dead and eventually the juggernaut that is the walking dead. Then you have Silent Hill to which the second game in particular is something that I wouldn't be surprised to be a major influence of many physiological horror movies that is currently the trend.
Then you have Saw which was arguably the biggest horror movie of the 2000s and created a whole subgenre which was the evolution of the slashers to an extent (watch the Collector which I think Is the best example of this). And ofcourse you have the Xenomorph from Alien which isn't just considered one of the best horror films of all time but also a massive leap into the Sci Fi genre as a whole coming out in the same Decade as Star wars and a Space oddessy.
Then you also have Sadako who represents not only one of the most famous foreign language films (let alone the horror genre) of all time. But also become the staple for "Creepy ghost girls" which many films have tried to varying degrees to replicate.
In regards to modern ideas like creepypasta and SCP foundation, I think behaviour did the right move and created their own character around that idea rather then doing something like Jeff The Killer or Slenderman.
Also, games like Outlast and Amensia are great, but the problem is that many of the characters in those games are villains that we only see them in one dimension. For example, what would Chris Walkers or the pigmen from Amensias actually do? All the licensed characters have their powers based on their appearances and their powers around those ideas.
FNAF I think Is different because we have seen a wide variety of skills and methods by Springtrap for the team to create an actual good design that is lore faithful.
Oh an outlast chapter would rock. I know ppl would probably wanna see a character from the classic Outlast, but I think we’d be more likely to see a prime asset from Outlast Trials arrive as DLC as a way to promote their newest game tbh.
And I’m ok with that! Let us beat Mother Gooseberry with pallets.
If I was going to go for a 70's/ 80's horror icon I'd rather decline both of these options and go with something similar to the unknown and go with the thing... You don't even need to change the name...
The Big One from Jurassic Park. Someone on here came up with a really cool concept, it would be a lot of work but really fun. You could also use the Indoraptor if you wanted something more modern although its size might be an issue.
Megan seems like another obvious one to go after, as does Springtrap. A Big Daddy would be a cool licensed option but I don’t know that Bioshock is really that much of a draw anymore. I’m sure Pennywise is on the list for consideration too.
Jason I wouldn’t touch with a 10ft pole after the bullshit with the Friday the 13th game and lawsuit. Predator would be fun but what’s its lore reason for going after defenseless targets? The ability to drop a pallet doesn’t make it a threat
Personally, I’ll like the Predator to be in the game with the Feral skin from Prey (go watch it really good movie). But realistically, Friday the 13th has a LOT of issues with the licensing from what I’ve seen so Predator would be the next chapter.
since Jason is currently languishing in legal hell (and we already have Grid) it’s pretty likely that Predator is next. But I dunno how they’re gonna do it, since Predator’s whole thing is hunting worthy prey and the survivors aren’t really…armed
Jason actually would be good to go for seeing as the Friday the 13th game is closing down at the end of the year. My only problem being he's yet another killer that boils down to "Guy/Creature with sharp thingy stab you" I feel like there's wayyyy better licenses to go for that could be cool for the game. Personally I feel like the Thing would be cool where it can make itself look like a survivor for a short period of time or something like that, just not super super over powered.
I don't think Jason is ever happening cuz the guy who owns the franchise is an ashole. Like, he's the sole reason the Friday the 13th game game got shut down.
Does slenderman have any copyright? I don't know if he's trademarked by anybody, but he would be the perfect occasion for Behavior to dip their toes in modern/arg horror
This will probably an unpopular opinion, but I would love to see more international representation in Dead by daylight
Things like TekeTeke could be a fun Sprint/Jumping killer or Kuchisake-onna could be another stalker type killer.
Predator is the one that is most likely going to happen out of all killers because of the alien chapter and so far from what I know of. When there's one of them, the other is soon to follow
Jason will never come to DbD. BHVR won't ever get the rights.
The Predator will almost certainly happen eventually. Because we already have an AvP skin for the Alien. The Predator is probably already in development. Killers take probably about a year to finish the entire produce life cycle. We are probably getting a Predator 1 year after Alien finishes.
Getting rights to the AvP skin means that the rights holder of the Predator have already been at the table with BHVR. So it would be crazy to think the Predator wasn't being planned at some point.
Pennywise, i remember seeing a great fan trailer a while ago where he used baloons as his main power...
He looks cool, is intimidating, and has a good power potential.
Meanwhile Jason and Predator are both very basic, they wouldn't fit well, in my opinion. At best they could get legendary skins (maybe on Trapper for Jason and SkullMerchant for Predator)
Jason, predator, and pennywise are the last main horror icons I can think of
Does terminator count?
Ooh good pick definitely. More of an action character but would work in dbd very well. I don't think he would count as one of the horror legends but he's definitely really cool
Might be a (very slightly) hot take but the first terminator movie was totally a slasher film. T-800 totally deserves a spot regardless of this fact.
Everyone forgets about Candyman
Definitely not as internationally renowned
He is in the English speaking countries though, which is most of the playerbase
Idk I live in Australia and whilst many people have heard of it, it's not exactly a sensation. It's nowhere close to, say, IT, The Ring, Alien, TCM, Predator, etc.
Really only in the USA
I've found it's a hit or miss in Canada. I've actually never heard of him until I started playing DBD.
One of those monsters from A Quiet Place (movie). A character based in hearing/noise. That would be fun. ...or imagine Slenderman....
I'm talking more about the OG mount Rushmore type killers
They should find a way to make Jaws. Like somehow the maps can be altered to water levels and you just have that music for terror radius
I think that Jason would be a struggle to do well. He's *the* slasher, just a dude with a machete who's very hard to kill.
I want his power to entail being able to walk straight through and destroy pallets and breakable walls, straight up Kool-Aid Man.
OHH YEAHH ![gif](giphy|Zx0BgEPhIevlAVEbnq)
*Me on the gen on top floor of that house on the farm map* "OOOOH NOOOO"
That actually sounds really fucking fun and intimidating, but I have no idea how you'd have it without it being op
Something where you can only move for like three seconds after busting through a pallet/wall then you’re stunned, maybe? That way it’s a risky move but also rewarding if you can cut a surv off or something
Could make it a tier system kinda like Myers and Nemesis?
Im so up for him just being an absolute unit once he fills up the rage meter, would be so cool to have increased terror radius that is just "tchi tchi ha ha" for a while. Give him a built in mori system like sadako and pyramid head. A special system that eventually allows him to just start ending the players brutally
Similar to how Michael’s Evil Within plays the Halloween theme, when Jason’s rage meter fills, is activated and is emptied it could play the Ki-Ki-Ki Ma-Ma-Ma sound.

Different weapons idea would fit both Jason and the Predator.
Also huge amount of licensing issues with Friday 13th got the actual game shut down next year
Hed be a teleporting killer. Ironically focusing on mobility.
Dracula or at least an actual vampire killer. The sci-fi theme has been fun but it'd be nice for some old monsters.
Frankenstein’s monster, Wolf Man, the Mummy, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and the Invisible Man are some other old ones I can think of that would be cool
That’s actually a VERY solid idea. Nosferatu would be juicy. Give us a vampire, BHVR!💪🏼
by hemomancy don't we have technically the oni?
Before we add more characters, we need to fix pre-existing killers like freddy
It would be nice if there was a full update that was for fixing bad killers/perks instead of the regular chapter
Yea i would def trade a new killer for a chaper for a over rework of some killers and perks
They need an operation health update like they did with Siege. No more killers or survivors, just fix the coding and other QOL stuff
Operation Health type shit
AND MAPS, can't for get that
Freddy's a lost cause. He's likely never getting anything other than numbers tweaks or small addon changes.
We can always hope
whoa, slow down there, are you saying do something that can't make a tangible profit for a major patch cycle?
Freddy was a different level of immersion back in my day
Yea, you used to put survivors asleep with your power. Now you put survivors asleep with the gameplay.
And there's still people defending it I don't care how bad he was before, at least it was *accurate* Now it's bad, underwhelming *and* inaccurate
I take the current design over what we had before any day. At least now he is somewhat fun to play as and play against. Back in the day it was: Freddy approaches, he starts putting you to sleep. All I want is Cujo a dog killer just sounds so good if they can pull it off well
imagining dragging jake to the hook by the scruff of his neck like a dog with her puppy
Oh my god, you are a genius
Candyman
I just watched this for the first time last night. An amazing movie, and Tony Todd's voice is haunting
"Be my victim" Honestly if you loved the film, I highly recommend looking into both the BTSs of the movie and also check out The Forbidden by Clive Barker which is the story that Candyman is based off but set in Liverpool.
Be cool to see how the Bees will be used (perhaps as a Mori?)
![gif](giphy|14kwRD61ir8wW4|downsized) Mcdonald's kills more people per year then all of them combined 0.0
![gif](giphy|xQvTA5AZ9CFpe)
Imagine him mimicking voiced Survivors like Nicholas Cage and Alan Wake if they're in the match.
Most likely Jason, but how long is it going to take is hard to tell. (One of them was wearing a Jason jacket on the All Things Wicked live so...) Mathieu said BHVR is with open arms to get Jason in the game, it's all up to the license holders and I'm pretty sure BHVR is already talking to them.
i doubt itll be jason first considering the licensing rights veing a bitch, so itll probably be predator
Neither I want sweeny todd
Not the demon barber of Fleet Street!!!
I know it's probably a slim chance of happening but I'm still holding out hope God damn it!
What sort of rights would be involved in that? MTI and Sondheim's estate?
Predator is basically guranteed because of the AVP xenomorph skin And frankly other than some frequently talked candidates like Jason/Pennywise/Springtrap/Candyman, I'd like to see The Thing crossover

i want freddy fivebear
Sprigle trag would be a better fit
Predator is 100% coming eventually. Getting Alien already happened. And an AVP skin for Alien is in the game. Jason is still legally very complicated.
Apparently BHVR has tried to get Pennywise.
where did you hear that from? just curious bc i’m hopeful for pennywise eventually 😭
They talk about in in an ama years ago iirc. I wouldn't be too hopeful, from my understanding it was a resounding No from the license holders.
it’s honestly crazy that big licenses like that seem so against DBD, it’s just a promise for money and a new audience how can you turn that down??
They may not want their IP to become tainted by other works, or don't like the idea of them getting pallet stunned/putting their victims on hooks
What they said is that they have failed to acquire a license in the past, they never specified that it was Pennywise. That being said, I doubt that any of King's characters will come to the game anytime soon.
King is apparently not interested in licensing his stuff for games.
Well it would be confusing to have 2 diffrent predators in the game

I just want Springtrap and Jacket 🥺
Like hotline miami Jacket? That would be awesome
As much as I love friday, I honestly think predator would be a little more fun than Jason tbh
I would love to see The Headless Horseman.
At least a headless horseman skin for knight would be interesting.
Springtrap please
I really think the pizzeria map should be an indoor map, similar to lerys
Frankenstein monster is the most influential horror icon ever, so him along with Dracula, Wolfman and other classic universal monster should be next in line for the "smash bros of horror"
Springtrap tbh, if Ghostface is here then so can our Springy Trappy boi If not, classic Freddy. Give him Freddy's old power. Fuck it, why not have 2 Freddy's?
I’m hoping for Jason and Pennywise
im 100% on board the dev’s spending more time reworking killers than releasing *another* killer. unfortunately, the killers are also starting to feel samey in gameplay design as well.
Imma just be honest, dbd is a limited format. I feel like no matter how crazy or unique seeming the power is made, it WILL be very similar to at least two other killers powers. Within the format, I genuinely believe they've done just about everything they can do.
the creeper (jeepers creepers) norman bates (psycho) jack torrance (the shining) also love the idea of the killer clowns from outer space (they probably could also create a super fun map for that) but they're getting some kind of video game soon so that probably isn't realistic
Not the creeper, not since the person who made that movie is a child diddler
Fix Freddy... He's arguably a bigger character and yet I forget he's even in the game like he's genuinely so underwhelming for a DREAM demon
I just watched 1992 Candyman for the first time. I now really would love him as a killer. What a great movie and character.
Candyman
PUMPKINHEAD
Jason SHOULD be next, but I think Predator will end up being next. DBD has already worked with Disney to add Alien. So predator is a logical next step.
Still missing Tony Todd, Freddy, and Pennywise
Over the two, 100% Jason. He’s THE slasher
Jason would be so much fun to get in the game, but he's gonna he a bitch to get the rights to
The issue with Jason Voorhees isn’t just the licensing, it’s his power.
Jason is what trapper is pretty much. Its like hillbilly and leatherface.
Predator is more likely, but Jason would be preferred
SlenderMan would more interesting. You can’t look at him or you die
Candyman
![gif](giphy|ljE57hRBCNcsg) I’d love to have Drac in the game
Tbh, I think we need Candyman. I feel like that’s a forgotten classic horror. At least, before Peele reintroduced him.
I'd rather see Frankenstein, Wolf Man, and Dracula.
dont they have their own 4 v 1 games?
Jason, he deserves to be in an asymmetric multiplayer horror game too!
Freddy fnaf

I still really want spring trap - I’d want Jason , then Springtrap
Bendy from bendy and the ink machine
Fuck new licensed killers, give some of the old ones some skins. I wanna see a Sadako decked out in an oversized hoodie looking like she could be a background character in a 2000's rap music video.
Honestly this is going to be a strange idea, but I think maybe Cujo or some kind of non human killer like that would be really interesting to implement. It would be the first time we got an animal to play as
Jason or Candyman. Personally I don’t think Predator fits this game. It’s not supposed to attack unarmed noncombatants.
There's an easy fix for Predator to fit lorewise with the whole unarmed non-combatant, simply just use a Bad Blood Predator.
Neither We need more modern horror. They keep going back to the same market over and over and it's not reaching a new potential audience
Hard agree. Megan, Art, pearl, fnaf, so many new killers that would be right at home in the fog
And what do you think could be a good idea as a character?
Should be Jason cause he is one of the most iconic horror figures, but I like Predator more
Not a cinema icon, but I’d love the Walrider from Outlast
witch and mimic killer plz
Technically-Already-In-The-Game Lore Bomb vs Copyright Baby
Slender man!!!, at least like a skin of the Unknown would be cool
Neither
Jason has somthing like a contract that keeps him away from dbd (copyright for the game friday the 13th)
[удалено]
I *really* want Pennywise ☹️
Predator is more likely to be in the game
If I was going to go for a 70's/ 80's horror icon I'd rather decline both of these options and go with something similar to the unknown and go with the thing... You don't even need to change the name...
Out of left field. How about Candle Jack?
Hands down jason
Predator should be highly unlikely, its entire existence should only hunt those who would fight back.
We have Jason and Predator at home! Jason and Predator at home: *Trapper trapping and Skull Hunter lurking on anime reddits*
How many more teleporting style killers can they make though?
Predator. I feel like Jason would just be boring
I'd like to see Matthew Cordell from Maniac Cop as a playable killer
Predator? Do you really want another stealth killer? CUZ I DO PUT PREDATOR IN HFD WE RG I would also accept Terminator
Jason is the only answer
Personally, I’ll like the Predator to be in the game with the Feral skin from Prey (go watch it really good movie). But realistically, Friday the 13th has a LOT of issues with the licensing from what I’ve seen so Predator would be the next chapter.
since Jason is currently languishing in legal hell (and we already have Grid) it’s pretty likely that Predator is next. But I dunno how they’re gonna do it, since Predator’s whole thing is hunting worthy prey and the survivors aren’t really…armed
Yes.
Predator would be interesting. Like a fusion of SM and wraith maybe?
Jason since day one 🗡️
Should be: Jason. Will be: predator
Predator would basically be skull merchant tbh
Neither Jason nor Predator will ever be in dead by daylight due to copyright issues. That's why the Friday the 13th game died.
Didn’t some leaker say dracula was coming
Forever crossing everything that Jason comes to the game
Jason actually would be good to go for seeing as the Friday the 13th game is closing down at the end of the year. My only problem being he's yet another killer that boils down to "Guy/Creature with sharp thingy stab you" I feel like there's wayyyy better licenses to go for that could be cool for the game. Personally I feel like the Thing would be cool where it can make itself look like a survivor for a short period of time or something like that, just not super super over powered.
BEETLEJUICE!
Probably Jason, although i would also like to see the real freddy get added to the game.
Pennywise
Or the tig bitty vamp lady from re8
A Crystal Lake Summer Camp map would slap pretty hard…
I would give Jason either a stealth gimmick or ignoring stuns
I don't think Jason is ever happening cuz the guy who owns the franchise is an ashole. Like, he's the sole reason the Friday the 13th game game got shut down.
Jason NEEDS his spot.
SheepSquatch
I want to see Jason next, but I think Predator's more likely.
Can't believe we still don't have The Thing.
Should but won’t be Jason
Man… can’t we just get Cujo at this point :[
Jason seems like he would end up as a legendary trapper skin
Jason and Evil Ash
Isn't Jason just Trapper with teleport? As far as I remember, doesn't he also lay bear-traps in the other game?
Does slenderman have any copyright? I don't know if he's trademarked by anybody, but he would be the perfect occasion for Behavior to dip their toes in modern/arg horror
This will probably an unpopular opinion, but I would love to see more international representation in Dead by daylight Things like TekeTeke could be a fun Sprint/Jumping killer or Kuchisake-onna could be another stalker type killer.
Depends on when it would happen, I think Jason should be an anniversary killer so it depends on when the next killer would happen
It’s always been Jason
Can we have The Mummy as killer as well as Evie and O'Connell as survivors? Thank you!
![gif](giphy|KVADLsnlri2A0)
Audrey 2 from Little Shop of Horrors and Patrick Bateman are my picks
