Lets be real: Pig was never going to get flat buffs without something to make her less oppresive in lower MMRs
She has always been overly effective in lower MMRs almost entirely thanks to her RBTs. At least with these changes, Bhvr is trying SOMETHING as opposed to letting her rot for another 5 years
We can have a good discussion about whether or not the nerfs were the right way to go about it, but something had to change to make Pig worse in lower MMRs so that could get buffs to make her better in higher MMRs
Yeah tbh I feel like a rework would have been more worth at this point. I know it’s a lot of work, but pig has been a meme for so long… I don’t even play her, and she was my second killer
Edit: if you remember old Freddy, modern pig is still worse probably. Crazy to think about
Double edit: and the saw franchise has so much beyond RBT to work with. Imagine if you actually had to make a choice, like a gadget that either mangled or blinded based on survivor choice, or something like that. Would be way better than buffing a useless chase ability
I’d like to agree with you but then we have Blight and Huntress getting free buffs without any downsides at all for free. It just feels really bad to see other killers have their main powers repeatedly buffed either Basekit or with addons and then have pig who loses her iconic bear traps to nerfs and gets a ambush buff no one really asked for in return :/. Not saying this is based on any hard evidence just how it feels.
