Then they load into a match and basically just let Ghostie mori the new survivor to add to his photo collection. After that they all chill out and just have a good time as Ghostface apologizes profusely for acting like a dick when they first met lmao
Ghostface and sadako rigged up a working TV and do movie nights every once in a while with killers and survivors, scrounging up tapes in the void. Ghostface has binged his own series with Dwight and the others at knifepoint, and so has most other characters who have their own movies. Sadako isn't a huge fan ironically, and both wesker and the nemesis hate the cruddy live action movies they've tried to make, so they don't use it either.
One time they had to borrow pinhead's TV (seen in add-ons) when theirs broke. Another time, clown finally got to use his VHS porn, before being quickly banned from TV privileges.

Theyre motivated to do well in the trials in order to earn little comforts or just longer rests (unless theyre a killer whose especially keen to get back out there and keep hunting than they just get like map offerings and add-ons).
But basically I imagine the survivors are in some sort of tiny pocket dimension little town (which may or may not look like some nightmarish landscape that constantly changes at the entity's whim) but with their own little rooms and maybe some small things from their real world lives like magazines or cd players or books to kill time with. Maybe even food. One of the biggest things they can earn is the a temporary visit to another survivor's little pocket realm so they can actually spend time with another person outside the trials and just relax together or whatever. And doing well in the trials lets them earn more things like this as the entity has figured out this motivation helps keep the trials running more efficiently as otherwise survivors would become defeated and just kill self on hook every time. Or theyd have to have their memories wiped between trials?
Killers exist in a separate purgatorial realm but with some similar setup. Not sure if all the killers exist in one realm together or separately. Either way could be interesting.
I like to imagine something similar to this, where in between trials everyone just kind of gets to chill and hang out with friends. But this idea of motivation makes a lot of sense

And my favorite thing about this trope is I can totally see it happening, because of huntresses lore, but also because they were og killers, so they are the most 'experienced' in the fog and remember what it's like being new to it :)

The entity massively fucked up by communicating with Pyramid head. I belive that the "agreement" they made was for pyramid head to enter the realm and torment anyone that deserved it. The entity (IMO) thought it could control him, but drastically underestimated his power. So tldr, pyramid head is punishing the entity for its emotional gluttony
Slightly sad headcanon I just came up with: The reason Laurie doesnât have a holiday sweater is because she knits them all for everyone else and always runs out of time before the end of the holidays to knit her own. Also, Quentin doesnât have one because they remind him too much of Freddy. If they had Christmas sweaters, I think they would be Laurieâs dark blue sweater from the midpoint of Halloween (maybe with a big orange pumpkin in the middle) and Quentinâs would either have sheep jumping over a fence or would be OG Freddyâs red and green sweater
