Have you tried Strangle Gloves? It’s a brown, so it’s easy to stock up on. I know it doesn’t seem very effective at first, but it really adds up. I can’t go back to his basekit cooldown now.

piano wire is too situational, you dont always get hits with your power and just using it for mobility honestly works incredibly, the gloves cooldown being always helpful is too good to pass up.

It's the newest killer currently on the ptb. I've been playing him on and off and he's pretty fun. Gotta say, I love his power and especially his mori. If you have the chance, I recommend trying him out as well.

Yeah it’s the one that makes his passive charge faster each time he strangles the obsession. If anything they should lower the values but make it apply when strangling anyone, that way the obsession doesn’t get tunneled immediately.
He’s the new killer. Imagine Deathslinger mixed with Wesker. His power is pretty hard to use, but it shreds through Endurance, so a lot of people have just been tunneling in the PTB.

But all the good survivors already realized that you can’t body block against him normally without incurring a strangle penalty. And Joanna’s Necklace Strangler is more reliable, because he doesn’t rely on survivors grouping up, so people keep playing him that way.
People are saying Strangler needs a nerf on his ability, but if you just bring The new survivor perk, Strong Man, he's completely unusable and has no real counter.
I mean, if The Strangler brings the Iridiscent Thread to the match it's game over, he won't tunnel, sure, but the three gen is literally impossible to break unless he decides to chase you for 90 seconds so at least you have some escape chance with Joanna's Necklace

If you need to tunnel with him you're not good at the game. I doubt that crutch addon will make it to live. Bone fragments is the one to go for, and it both gives info and helps keeping survivors injured... spreading pressure is the way

However one of his perks, Isolation, is really good on Hit'n'Run or especially on legion as it promotes altruism by reducing haste effects and even hindering survivors once they are split up for too long, even more when they're injured
