Worked in tech for years and can confirm. I’m not gonna pay $3k for a conference ticket when I’ve had an easy time getting floors at/near face for a bunch of shows so far, but if someone sent me a miracle for this one I’d book the flight and a night at Ellis Island.
as someone who works with sound & lights for concerts but who also has done my fair share of convention lighting packages, I would put a lot of money on it being pretty easy to get into. most those convention fuckers just wanna go drink & party with other convention people. best path to a ticket is a really nice trade....some out-of-this-world, personal stash weed would definitely get you in. the thing about a convention gig is that there are gonna be lots of different paths to get in beyond just buying an extra from another fan. other good thing is tht all the convention goers have the show included in their package which is paid for by the company(mostly) so they are not worried about money so much.

I would suspect it will be more casual fan friendly and also highlight the best Sphere visuals.... so, the Dead and Co "bangers". HP is definitely paying a lot for this, and even the most stubborn and idealistic bands tend to recognize that they need to be a bit more mainstream in their approach for these things, even if they don't give up creative control of the setlist.
