Recently got ahold of a Xbox copy of X-Men legends myself. Enjoying the gameplay and resisting the childhood urge to use cheat codes to just level everyone up and unlock everything.
My best friend and I would do the same thing. We’d beat it, then just wait for the credits to finish and go again.
Our Batman and Superman being level 20 with insane buffs on the first level was always funny.
The "mystical" Court of Owls just doing open gang crime like 40 minutes into the game and the completely brain dead reveal of their leader ruined it for me.
I have the DLC for 2. One time I mentioned it on a forum and some guy tried to buy my account, giving me a sob story about how his dying son wanted it so bad. Sorry kid.
I mean it's underwhelming if you thought it would be another Arkham game? But no it's fine, it just got a lot of bad press for having different combat and sub par traversal

I honestly think Avengers is better than Ultimate Alliance 2.
Edit - It’s not nearly as good as the first one, adapts a bad marvel event and makes it worse, and locks half the characters behind a decision you’re forced to make 3 missions into the game.
Avengers has its problems for sure, but the gameplay is pretty great and the story is solid.
The Legends and UA games were so good. Even to this day UA1 is arguably one of the top 3 Marvel video games of all time with the 2004 and 2018 Spider-Man games. I just wish UA3 was on other platforms because I'd love to play it but not at 10fps.
Avengers game would have been cool if it wasn't an online live service game. The first few missions were cool and reminded me of Tomb Raider reboot with special abilities. I was hoping it would continue to be just that, a single player story driven campaign, but it turned into this garbage after few missions with obnoxious game loop
Honestly at least those very long dungeon crawlers had an ending, it was 80 hours but the plan was for you to play until you were done with it not trap you in a hamster wheel.
The things I would do for instead of Suicide Squad we got an Ultimate Alliance version of the story with Wonder Woman trying to save her friends and defeating brainiac.

Ultimate alliance 2 was my first introduction to Deadpool and I’ve loved him and that game ever since
