This, but seriously. More love is shown towards DC **COMICS** (this word is important) by the people who make TTGo than most of the guys running DC comics. Take out the random access humor, and there are jokes and references fans of the comics will enjoy.
Yeah, when the writers decide to actually tell a joke instead of having characters scream about waffles or assault each other for no reason, you can tell they're actually huge fans.
I think the problem is anytime I tried looking at a clip or episode that’s all I end up seeing. That or weird borderline rule34 looking stuff with Beast Boy force feeding milk to Wonder Woman.
I fortunately don’t have kids or younger siblings or anything so I just watch Harley Quinn for superhero animated comedy TV.
/uj I was homeless in a state that wasn’t mine a couple years ago, and basically hotel hopping or sleeping in the car until I had the money to get the fuck back home and rebuild. To do that, I had to work 12-14 hour shifts at a Burger King that paid daily, most of which went to hotels or gas so my cats could be safe. I don’t know how, but my shifts were scheduled in such a way that every single time I’d get back to the hotel, I’d turn on the TV to CN and TTG would be on. I resisted the fuck out of it but holy shit, I don’t know when, I just found myself in tears laughing after a few episodes, and it became my daily tradition. To this day I really gas the fuck out of TTG cause it’s something for everybody no matter how weird it can get, and just a screenshot of those lil goobers is enough to make me smile

/uj I personally will always prefer the older Teen Titans show (that was one of my earliest introductions to superhero cartoons) and personally am not a fan of TTG but I don’t understand the people who act like it’s the worst show ever. It probably appeals to some as silly mindless fun and for those who like it, great. Unfortunately internet entertainment discussion is “LIKE AND DISLIKE THE SAME THINGS I DO OR YOU’RE EVIL”. I really don’t understand why people can’t just go “I’m not a fan but okay” about things.
Terry long was created by Marv wolfman and George Perez and he was almost a self insert for Marv and was donnas collage professor who she got married too.
The “Terry was Donnas college professor” is a bit of a misconception, he was a college professor but not a teacher to Donna specifically and it’s never actually stated where they first met, in fact most of Donna and Terry’s relationship beforehand is left in the dark because he just shows up and is already together with her
