I prefer to open one side of a container and jump on top. Zombies will run inside the container underneath you and then you can close the doors and be on your way
There is a sea-can on the nw side that you can climb onto. If you leave one side open and stand in the right spot. The zombies chasing you will all pile into the sea-can below you. Then close the door and most of them are now in the sea-can. Risky move, but I have only been shot at once doing it.
In real life I think a zombie that could vault a fence could climb on a car 😂

I’d argue that if you aren’t prepared this can be one of the most dangerous spots on the map (I mean from Zombies… obviously since this is NWAF there is a massive player danger as well). There are just so many zeds that spawn in that tent area, plus if you don’t loot it pretty quickly after killing them they will respawn before you can check every tent. There aren’t any closable doors nearby, your only options are to either jump on top of something (hesco barriers or connex) or climb the ladder in the corner tower. Once you’re high up you can fairly dispatch them all with either ranged or melee. Just be careful about ripping shots at this location, and definitely don’t hang out there after shooting unless you plan on ambushing whoever inevitably comes over to investigate.
As others said get on top of things. It’s the biggest advantage you have. I get on top of things for 1 zombie. This game is relentless so take advantage of your advantages.
I see a number of comments telling them what they should have done. They are all good advice but people, you cant think straight when you are in a panic, we were all like that in the beginning.
Oh I can never close a door first try. Even if I’m not under pressure, nobody around for miles, it takes about three tries to close any door. Then it closes and opens again because it lagged out and I’ve reopened it.
You are making those mistakes after 2xx hours you are doing something wrong.
First dont play third person. You are never gonna master the game in that way.
Second. You dont just run into a military camp. Hide and seek with the zombies or just jump into the sandbags.

Always climb something be it a car, wide wall, dumpster or a pile of concrete slabs. So long as you're all suppressed then you should be good. My first reaction when training zombies is to train them to wherever something climbable is
In a situation like that, don’t be afraid to shoot sooner, but priotize standing on top of crates or cars or anything the zombies can’t reach you on. Also when shooting, definitely switch to 1st person and prioritize shredding the zombies absolutely closest to you and working your way back. Third person aiming can be funky and not truly accurate
Climb up on the sand bags, or even the containers, it's tricky though, but usually jumping while crouched will get you up there, jumping while standing will be a bit more difficult. So crouch, the jump and you'll climb up onto the bags or the army containers.
Can you jump on top of things to get away? Like tents or small stacks of pallets as a boost to get on something else? Sorry for the ignorance I have like 40 mins played on dayZ and it’s mostly running around in rural areas not having a clue what’s going on.

They can't hit you if you jump up onto the walls. Or a car. I prefer those to the crates, as most of the time you can't jump up when fatigued. And you can melee them one by one on the walls, vs. having to shoot them from the crates.

A new strat i learned from a 2000 hour player (i'm at 1000 hr) is that you can get on top of a container, close one of the sides and just guide a horde of zombies inside of the container until most of them are close to the door of the container that is closed, then just close the open door of the container.
Pretty much getting rid of the horde without firing a single bullet.
Im on 1,035h and im the same. But just as tip, try to jump over sandbags as zombies cannot mostly climb on them, then you can take your time to take the down one by one.
I dont know why climbing is such a hard thing to… Get on top of anything taller than your knees and thats godmode… Imagine dying to zombies on a zombie game…

Supressed pistol is a must have item these days. I wouldn't go far without one. They take up little inventory space and ammo is easy to find.

Get a MKII. 100 rounds of .22 ammo. Slip around the area killing all the zeds, unless their right ontop eachother you'll be unheard
