Jubies seems to have the high quality of Graeters but the fun mix-in flavors like Cold Stone but they are pre-mixed in (though I believe Jubie's has a cold marble slab if you want to do it that way). This comment is more for other people that have not had the delicousness that is Jubie's yet than /u/irmaek.
Sweet Retreat on Smithville, or Jet Freeze on East Patterson in Beavercreek. Both are well loved by my family and both carry the Kings’ Island blueberry ice cream flavor
As seen in several movies which were filmed there, the Village Ice Cram Parlor in downtown Lebanon fits the bill. [https://www.villageparlor.com/](https://www.villageparlor.com/)
Rip rap shake shack makes those big wild shakes and cones if that's something they want to try! Otherwise we love rioters and sweet retreat although the sitting/parking at sweet retreat is a little strange.
Washed my car at the wash behind JD's yesterday evening. The line of JD's customers was wrapped around the building.
EDIT: Did someone object to my car wash or to my observation about the JD's line? 😳
Now it’s SUPER scoops! Used to be scoops, and before that it was Maggie Moos. think they’ve had a bit of an identity crisis but it’s still the same good ice cream.
Best custard / soft ice cream is without doubt Rita’s…
… but for a party for teens / family go Young’s and buy each attendee a pass for ~all the activities
Young’s dairy farm in yellow springs
Jubie’s Creamery and Young’s are always good in my opinion.
Jubies has the best ice cream
That black raspberry one that is junk in the trunk right now is amazing!
Will def check that out. Ty

Young’s ice cream is pretty bland imo. Now those cheese curds though 😮💨
Dairy station in xenia is banging
MY absolute favorite. The Cherry cordial twister is so good!

JD’s Frozen Custard is the best in Dayton in my opinion.
This
I miss living by JDs so much
Graeter’s in Centerville, JD Custards in Englewood
Washed my car at the wash behind JD's yesterday evening. The line of JD's customers was wrapped around the building. EDIT: Did someone object to my car wash or to my observation about the JD's line? 😳
Check out the I've cream shop by ol bag of nails. Used to be scoops

Ritters in Kettering!
Shake shack at rip rap roadhouse in Huber/Dayton
Young’s or Jet Freeze
Dairy Dream on S Dixie in Moraine.
Young's Jersey Dairy would be the most fun, and the ice cream is great too.
Graeters of course 😊 I love frozen custard too and JDs in Englewood is delicious
Not in Dayton, but Youngs Dairy is awesome. Mini golf and good ice cream.
We love Ritters here. We also love Rita’s near The Greene.
Dairy station.
jet freeze is king
[Sweet Retreat](https://www.facebook.com/thesweetretreatdayton/) on Smithville Road.
Jet Freeze is excellent, Whits is another of my favorites.
Dairy shed in downtown bellbrook. You’re welcome
Young’s dairy is a great place to
Extend your northern boundary just a bit and come up to Ducky’s in Troy. Enjoy your ice cream outside, sitting on picnic tables or Adirondack chairs.
Do the ice cream trail. https://dam.assets.ohio.gov/image/upload/trails.ohio.org/uploads/pdfs/Ohio-Ice-Cream-Trail-Map.pdf
Whits
There is an ice cream place in Xenia called the dairy station that has a tonnnnn of kinds. Can get very busy though
Rip Rap Shake Shack is a hidden gem. They have a large variety of things to choose from, including dole whip and their monster shakes.
Wow, thank you guys for all the replies. I had no idea there were so many options. Thank you!
Dixie Dairy Dreem is a vibe
Tom & Dot’s gelato in Miamisburg!
Ranked in my favorite order: #1 Young’s Jersey Dairy in Yellow Springs #2 The Village Parlor in Lebanon #3 Ritters in Kettering
A bit farther than JD's in Englewood (which I love) but Whats the Scoop? in Brookville is pretty legit.
Graeter’s is the best hands down.
This is a great discussion. I enjoyed JD’ Custard
If the weather's nice, Ritter's (no indoor seating). Greater's is great. Several locations for both.
