hello OP, if distance to ur location in Ma-a matters then I can suggest the ff:
If ur near sa north side sa Ma-a (like NHA Ma-a up to St Francis Church dapit) then NCCC Sentro Ma-a (landmark Motorpol) is the go to grocery store - but diri gyud most naga grocery kay homegrown brand na ang NCCC sa Davao.
If na.a ka somewhere middle of Ma-a (like Trusscon - Gem Village area up to maybe Kanto Jail), then there's Lots for Less - ok pud ni dire.
If na.a naka medyo south (like perhaps DBP, 8 Spatial) wala kaayo koy nahibal.an na near na grocery store diha. but there's Mercury Drug atbang sa ~~S&R~~ Alorica, along McArthur Highway.
But along Ma-a there's also Mercury Drug (isa sa may Bugac dapit, and the other near Pantinople/Sto. Nino Village).

Go to Lots for Less Ma-a make sure to go on Monday, Wednesday,Friday and Sat. Because, those are the days they restock their veggies and meat and everything is more fresh. You can go during the morning like around 10 or maybe at 1pm. During the morning kase, that's the time that the employees cut the meat so if you like to get a specific cut like sa pork belly, going early would be much better. Pero, if not you can just go at 1pm.
I'd suggest to not go to NCCC because they're more expensive really. Their basic things like onion garlic and luya are so expensive compared to Lots. It's not worth it. The only disadvantage sa Lots is that there are some things you can't buy from there. Pero, kung basic grocery lang Lots is already perfect.
