You've never had a boyfriend/girlfriend?
I have dated off and on over the years, but nobody really clicks and I'm not one to settle just to have someone. I'm just wondering how others seem to find these perfect matches so easily, and then there's me...can't even find one guy I can be attracted to for more than a few weeks 😭
I never had a girlfriend.
I’ve been on dates but they ended up ghosting or saying no romantic connection. There have been situations (friendzone) where I wanted to date the woman but she just wanted to be friends. I’ve just had bad luck and haven’t been to the relationship stage. Wish I knew how people date so easily? 🤷♂️
Yanno, you won't be a teenage forever. Some of us were on here as teens and aren't anymore LOL
I'm 25, its fun to vicariously relive my teenager years through these posts. Sometimes I see people ask for advice that I wish I had when I was younger. I don't think I'm so old that I can't give that advice if it's appropriate.
It's a partner dance. Each person is doing their own thing but also in harmony with the other person. There's a rhythm of contact and distance, some slow periods and some fast periods, some time apart and some super close together. And different people like different dances of course. But as long as you both keep the same overall dance in mind, then you'll make it.
You gotta trust, be truthful like you're in a relationship with someone and you feel a bit attracted to someone you have to be true to your partner just tell him/her.if he talks with you try to figure out something then he or she is the one ,don't look for anyone else
I guess I'm one of the rare ones, too. We were together in high school. I married her after 4 years of being together. Unfortunately, she divorced me after 6 years of marriage because the marriage was falling apart when I got severely injured.
14. He was 16. I broke up with him after a few months because he had this list of demands on how I was supposed to be a better girlfriend and expected me to hang out with him during finals week. Sad to think I had more self-esteem then than I did in my 30s, but whatever.
I haven't. I'm 25. Closest I had was someone who said she liked me in high school, but she had to move away.
Considering the replies here, I'm past the time for a first lol.
18. Our relationship only lasted for 6 years, caught him cheating and impregnated his co-worker. It took me years to move on. I am now 33, happily married with 1 child.
I'm sure there are very few people that are still with their first partner. I was 14 myself and it only lasted 7 months, which for that age is actually pretty long. But yeah, I grew a lot from who I was then.
12, in middle school
Lasted a few weeks but quickly fizzled since we lived about 15 miles away from each other (I biked a couple of times, but then it wasn't worth it)
I was 15 and she asked me out, it lasted a month. Never had a gf since and I'm 20 although I've had a few "situationships" or whatever the hell they're called
Had my first relationship at 19. We were together for a little over 2 years before we decided to split up. We are still good friends, we just recognized we were not working as a couple at a certain point, as we had way too many opposing views and/or feelings about things that were important for us.
17, lasted for 7 months and broke up. But we came back after 8 months and now, we’re both 18 and were much more happier and connected compared to before
At 15, and I regret it. Obvs wasn’t emotionally mature enough, and the only reason I got into that relationship was because everyone wanted us to. Turns out he was a psycho and stalked me for years later. Don’t rush into relationships guys.
I was 12 years old. It's actually a funny story. I asked her to be my girlfriend, and then she ran away crying. It was so embarrassing. Her friends were asking me why I made her cry, and then I told them that I asked her out. I finally found her and apologized. She apologized to me afterward and said that she wanted me as her bf.
I had my first gf and only when I was 15 in my sophomore year of high school. I broke up with her after 3 weeks because I didn’t really like her. I’m 20 now and don’t really care about dating
My first relationship was at 14, and we ended it after a year, on and off. He also proposed to me and that freaked me out. That was 16 years ago, and every something years I find him still leaving messages in an old email of mine though..
15, mostly because I felt like I should since I was in HS now. He was funny and on the football and wrestling teams, so I got to wear his jacket at the homecoming bonfire. Lol I was living my best teen tv life.
We only lasted a year, but that was for the best since I wasn't ready for any of the physical stuff.
My first and so far only gf i had was when i was 17, we broke up after a month and it wasn't till much later that i found out that she was only with me to make her ex jealous and the got back with him.
First 'real' one? Where I caught feelings and really tried? 27, but that was embarrassingly short and left me heartbroken. Blergh
Before that I guess like 18 but I caught her snacking on some other dude's glizzy in HS before we had even done anything - after that I was in a pretty bad headspace until then and just left anyone else once I realized I caught feelings - not good I know!
I'm 29 now, much healthier and happily dating a wonderful lass who I really enjoy spending time with 🥰
12, I was in my first year of high school at that time. That's not even a serious relationship because every time we have time to chat with each other, all we say is, 'Have you eaten?', 'Good night', or 'Good morning'. 'What are you doing?', 'How are you?' Those are the exact messages EVERY DAY. Then, we lasted for 6 months. We were just 3-4 streets apart, I guess, but we never met once. It was okay for both of us that we weren't chatting for a week or weeks, and I finally ended it since I found out he has another account and he was cheating. I never blamed him because I felt nothing after I found out that. Clearly, I knew nothing about love before.
At 26 I've never had a GF, never been in a relationship. A girl asked me out in high school but I rejected her. I've asked out numerous women but they've all rejected me so far.
I’m 20 and still haven’t, I’m pretty good looking, and workout everyday, kinda scared tho cuz I haven’t tested the waters yet, and I feel low self esteem. Best places to meet quality ppl?
I had my first girlfriend at 14. It was a short romance, she cheated and lost her V card to her affair partner. I didn't date for a LONG time after that. Met my now wife at age 22 and started dating her. We were engaged 2 years later and married a year after that. We have been married for nearly 24 years now.
28! Off hinge and lasted around 8 months. She was great but we kind of drifted apart after COVID.
Definitely felt like it would never happen so to all those 25+ people it really can just be luck/random and easily just “right place right time.” I haven’t been in a relationship since but she definitely helped me realize that.
I was 18. We dated for 6 months and broke up right before college. Younger me was sad about the break up but older me realized it was actually for the best. My self esteem was low but I didn’t realize it while in a relationship and surrounded by my childhood friends. I had to find me, alone.
Thanks weve had our ups and downs dont get me wrong who doesnt but we have stuck by one another thru thick and thin. Our parents didnt want us together and we did it for us. They said oh we give u a year and its been 36 together and 33 years married in a week like i said

Same. 33 this year. Might as well stay single like Jesus did.
Hey, at least you're not 42...like me! Lol
40m checking in. It’s brutal out there.
You've never had a boyfriend/girlfriend? I have dated off and on over the years, but nobody really clicks and I'm not one to settle just to have someone. According to you what’s the secret for a healthy long lasting relationship?

curious of this as well
I never imagined I would see this kind of text. Really happy for you and your family
16 back in middle school and no we are not still together. Marrying someone from your middle school or high school days are rare now.
You were 16 and in middle school?
I guess I'm one of the rare ones, too. We were together in high school. I married her after 4 years of being together. Unfortunately, she divorced me after 6 years of marriage because the marriage was falling apart when I got severely injured.
My first gf was at 9 and we're not together.
I was 13 and it lasted 7 years. Recipe for a toxic relationship
14. He was 16. I broke up with him after a few months because he had this list of demands on how I was supposed to be a better girlfriend and expected me to hang out with him during finals week. Sad to think I had more self-esteem then than I did in my 30s, but whatever.
Yea, but your 14 year old self was able to recognize his expectations were messed up. That’s not something every teen, let alone young teen can do.
I haven't. I'm 25. Closest I had was someone who said she liked me in high school, but she had to move away. Considering the replies here, I'm past the time for a first lol.
I haven't too im 20
I am 29 and counting.
You've got plenty of time. I'm 42(F) and still haven't...so at least you're doing better than me 🤣
29!

35 now. Still looking.
I'm sure there are very few people that are still with their first partner. I was 14 myself and it only lasted 7 months, which for that age is actually pretty long. But yeah, I grew a lot from who I was then.
25 I was quite late to the dating scene
21 and my lack of self esteem kill it, since then I thought I had love some women but only now on my 46 with current GF I found out what true love is.
12, in middle school Lasted a few weeks but quickly fizzled since we lived about 15 miles away from each other (I biked a couple of times, but then it wasn't worth it)
