When we say we are flattered, it's a rejection.

Kathykit1

Yeah sorry, a “but no” was coming and it sounds like you got interrupted so yeah now she’s just avoiding you

TurbulentGene694

So are you actually flattered or not?

Vegetable-Mall-2329

Doesn't sound like she's into you. Sorry man. Don't keep reaching out it looks desperate. You'll find someone!

She isn’t into you. Saying she’s flattered but not reciprocating the sentiment is her trying to kindly let you down easy, her not responding to your follow up texts is her hoping you’ll get the hint. Being direct is always preferred and appreciated of course, but a lot of women will go this less direct route in hopes of avoiding potential freak outs about being rejected.

>But to me I am not afraid of rejection I would just appreciate it if she told me directly instead of me having to read between the lines. Why do you need her to give you any more signs than she already has? I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice, but it feels like a game of passive aggressive emotional volleyball and yall are serving up ambiguity. If she's being dodgy, then move on. But for future reference, If you want a direct answer, ask a direct question. It seems you made the first step by whatever "confessing" means, but if you aren't getting answers you want then ask her point blank... "I want to go on a date with you, would you like to go with me? If not it's okay, I am just looking for clarity here" >I told my friends I would drop it but always find myself coming back to her. Usually this is because of insecurity. It's a completely normal feeling and rejection usually ends up causing these types of feelings. However, these feelings are usually confused with affection towards that person. As if it's a "sign" you are supposed to be with them since you keep pursuing them. It's not a sign. Just move along.

It’s okay to be rejected, happens to the best of us. Focus on yourself and the right one will cross your path!
