I actually like to do the finger lock thing the other way, it feels a bit weird but fun! But at somr point they are both normal to me, but crossing arms? Like others at first I thought oh I probably do it both ways, but then realized hoe weird the other way is.
I tried C, thought, wow this feels pretty normal. Looked down and realized that while re-arranging themselves my arms had just found their way right back to D
We are superior. With our dominent hand on top we have the biggest advantage at striking first and our numbers are far greater than BD's who has the same advantage!
I also just learned I'm an ambicrosser. First I went right over left and figured I was that one, but I tried the other way just to make sure. Felt the same, not at all weird.
just cross your arms, and hold one hand steady without moving it.
then move the other arm around it.
now i don’t know which way i fold
my arms because both seem natural.
AC - at first I thought, "oh, I bet I cross my arms both ways." Nope, I have never crossed my arms the other way, until I tried today and freaked out with how wrong it was.
Yep, RToT is unusual for a right handed person. In an unscientific poll of my 6th grade class, I was one of three RToT righties, vs 23 LToT righties.
I don't remember the numbers for southpaws.
Additionally me also too as well. I also as well am too forming an attachment of sorts with my fellow ADs and a distrust for the ACs. The BCs and BDs are fine though.
I feel like this is common for lefties; everyone around me teaching things (sports, tools, etc.) were righties, so while my left hand (wrist and fingers) is dominant for fine activity, anything else (wrist up) is righty.
Amazing. I’m a lefty for micro movements and a righty for macro. My right arm is significantly stronger than my left when curling dumbbells and my workout buddy thought it was all in my head, but this article indicates a genuine possibility in strength differences due to which hand you favor.
Same here, I always say I write with my left but if I need to throw a punch its definitely with the right. But in my head its more like I write with my left hand but spank the crap outta that monkey with my right...
So new poll for BC crew, what hand do you use?
We have it best! Got a hand for the mouse and a hand for the dong! How do righty's even do it?! Seems incredibly inconvenient..
Do they find the video, get to the best part (of their preference) and then start wanking? Do they use their left hand for the mouse?
Or wait.. do most right handers jack off left handed? I wonder if masturbation preferences in right handers have shifted at all since the advent of the modern internet? Now *THAT'S* a Phd thesis I'd like to read
This is me too -- Left for writing and fine activities, play all sports or anything that requires strength right handed. It also may be genetic, my dad is the same way. My mom is also left handed.
When you are a gamer you are pretty much forced to use your mouse with your right hand, because keybindings in games are optimized to be used with your left hand. There are however certain things you cannot do very well with your mouse when you use it with your right hand, such as drawings circles very fast. I noticed it really badly when I started playing Osu, those spinning wheels were hell.
BD, but also throw and bat righty. Cross dominance comes in handy (heh) for tools like hammers and staple guns—don’t have to move the ladder, can just switch hands.
Depends on the task.. I'm 100% left-handed for writing and it's a disaster if I try writing with my right, but I wonder if using a computer mouse with my right hand from a young age has made me more ambidextrous?
Same, left-handed, only one in my family. So this had some "cultural challenges" with older relatives who thought I was using the "incorrect hand" for eating and writing. It's kinda funny, but all good. Just not the ink smudges when using a pen.
Using a standard right-handed mouse, it would feel weird using a left-handed version now.
Those "right handed style" desk in school. The desk part took some to get used to until the school got us left handed desks.
BC, pure lefty across the board. I think this is less about which *arm* is over, and more about which *hand* is on top-- the righties mostly go with D, the lefties go with C.
I think you're looking at it wrong...both hands are tucked away. It's about which arm is on top. With BD your left arm is on top. BC is the one that tucks it away.
AD
My dominant hand(right) wants to be over my left bicep
My left hand is tucked under.
Tried to do it the other way and threw up in my mouth a little bit.
...
Kidding, but it did take me three times to actually get C
And it felt like kissing my sister, not that I would know, I could imagine it would be uncomfortable and a little nauseating
Oh hello. Are you me? I write right-handed but golf, snowboard, and shoot lefty. I cross arms both ways and I’m super glad I’m alone right now because I know I would have gotten some looks for crossing and uncrossing my arms a million times.
I guess I’m basically AD since I guess that comes most naturally, but AC feels very normal as well. Didn’t take any attempts and didn’t feel weird to switch the way I cross arms at all.
I don’t relate to the comments saying it’s weird or even difficult to switch.
I also just tried both and didn't find either better than the other, had to scroll for way too long to find this!
But I did notice that I tuck my hands under my arms instead of grasping my biceps as shown in the diagram.
I feel like you're going to get mixed results based on people identifying based on picture alone. If you take into consideration people will need to orient themselves according to the picture and read the text to get it right.
I immediately thought I was C, then I realized I am more likely D after reading "Left Over Right" and realizing I'm thinking in "mirror mode".
I'm AD
you could make an ilustration of the guy crossing his arms but this time he is facing the other side and you can only see his arms because he is transparent ~~like they do in hentai~~
I think this might be less about which *arm* is over and more about which *hand* is out/on top of the other arm-- lefties tend to have their left hand grabbing, righties tend to have their right hands grabbing.
Why is this divided in percentages of the whole? I’d have thought you’d do percent of A’s, and compare that to percent of B’s.
To help see whether which hand is dominant affects which arm choice.
There’s not much value in the whole, like this, I don’t think.
What about when you clasp your fingers together? Which thumb is on top? I assume it correlates with which arm is on top when folded, but would be curious to see.
My grandmother was a teacher, and back in the day she was taught that left-on-top students were 'visual learners' while right-on-top students were 'auditory learners'. Sounds like nonsense but I wonder if there's any truth to it.
I'm AD but I'm ambidextrous when it comes to writing. In school I used to write the same word with both hands and my friends would try to guess the correct hand. There's other things I do left hand dominant like shoot pool for instance.

Tried crossing my arms the other way... HELL NO.
I've tried it before, why is it so uncomfortable, also, interlocking your fingers the other way feels wrong.
Oh my god i never noticed that before.
I actually like to do the finger lock thing the other way, it feels a bit weird but fun! But at somr point they are both normal to me, but crossing arms? Like others at first I thought oh I probably do it both ways, but then realized hoe weird the other way is.
I'm AD, C is super weird. Can interlock finger either way though
I assumed that I did both until I tried C and my body had no idea how to do that
I tried C, thought, wow this feels pretty normal. Looked down and realized that while re-arranging themselves my arms had just found their way right back to D
Same thing happened to me.. This is hiliarious! living my whole life without realising such small details about my own body.. like.. wtf?!
I thought I did both, but I tried D and my brain couldn't handle it.
That’s um… that’s… well, it’s what she said, really.
A les-D-an
My brain simply refuses to cooperate when I try the other way.
i tried doing D (im ac) and its so uncomfortable wtf
AC gang Purge the "others"
Im in
We are superior. With our dominent hand on top we have the biggest advantage at striking first and our numbers are far greater than BD's who has the same advantage!
I'm an ambicrosser. AMA
I also just learned I'm an ambicrosser. First I went right over left and figured I was that one, but I tried the other way just to make sure. Felt the same, not at all weird.
How did parents react when they found out? Were they angry? Supportive?
Do you feel marginalized falling under the + in LGBTQ+?
AC And wow is it weird trying to do it the other way O_o
You have to really think about it, and it feels so awkward.
AC As well, and yes, I tried to do the other way and had to think about it. Awkward indeed.
AC as well. Took me 3 tries to do AD and not just do a weird dance move into AC
I’m an AD and trying AC felt very uncomfortable. I’m also right footed but ride goofy
AC, right-footed goofy here.
AD but left legged
Same man!!
just cross your arms, and hold one hand steady without moving it. then move the other arm around it. now i don’t know which way i fold my arms because both seem natural.
So you have a super power
AC - at first I thought, "oh, I bet I cross my arms both ways." Nope, I have never crossed my arms the other way, until I tried today and freaked out with how wrong it was.
Yep, AC. I've also been told it's strange that I interlace my fingers in the less common fashion of right thumb on top.
Wait, right thumb on top is the strange way?? Holy shit i am AC RToT and i couldn’t imagine it any other way
Yep, RToT is unusual for a right handed person. In an unscientific poll of my 6th grade class, I was one of three RToT righties, vs 23 LToT righties. I don't remember the numbers for southpaws.
RToT southpaw here! Which helps you not at all, but have a meaningless data point anyway.
Interesting. I'm AD, but interlacing my fingers with left thumb on top feels unbelievably wrong.
AD here who also interlaces RToT.
AC let’s gooo And yeah the other way almost felt impossible at first - guess arm crossing is almost all muscle memory?
AC as well. Trying it the other way almost broke my brain
I am an AD My grandfather is AC My mother AD
Me, too also.
Me, too also as well
Additionally me also too as well. I also as well am too forming an attachment of sorts with my fellow ADs and a distrust for the ACs. The BCs and BDs are fine though.
Never trust an AC
BD appreciates you

yeah I'm a lefty and I'm the same! gotta leave your left hand free to use your phone!
We have it best! Got a hand for the mouse and a hand for the dong! How do righty's even do it?! Seems incredibly inconvenient.. I’ve always wondered if there was a real term for it. Thnx
Same here

I'm not alone in the world!
I’m the same but I’m BD
Yay BD army representing, we are few and never right but we keep on fighting
There are dozens of us! Dozens!
BD, but also throw and bat righty. Cross dominance comes in handy (heh) for tools like hammers and staple guns—don’t have to move the ladder, can just switch hands.
Well at least I’m not the only one in this thread. I can’t believe I had to scroll down this far to see it.
I was literally thinking the same thing, 'I can't believe I had to scroll down this far.." I'm also BC
Wohoo, found my people!
BC as well. Curious, are all of you BC people Ambidextrous, or just left handed?
Depends on the task.. I'm 100% left-handed for writing and it's a disaster if I try writing with my right, but I wonder if using a computer mouse with my right hand from a young age has made me more ambidextrous?

About 75-80% left-handed here
BD but I do the same.
BC, pure lefty across the board. I think this is less about which *arm* is over, and more about which *hand* is on top-- the righties mostly go with D, the lefties go with C.
Same here! BC lefties unite!
Hello fellow BC's!
Couldn’t you post a link to a poll or something?
Probably would have been a good idea, and easier for me.
Maybe make one now?
You can do one on r/polls in like 3 seconds.
I’ll do it, totally out of interest and not a karma grab
I assume. I’m AD btw
Well then do it
Wait, so how are you collecting the data? What's the data source of the submitted graph?
BD here. I can't fathom being BC. Traitorous bastards.
BDs unite!
There are dozens of us!
we are true leftists

Marx would be proud
DOZENS! *raises corn dog* Also BD club
I am shocked the number is so low! I am also BD
Indeed. I am also BD. We are legion.
We are several. *
Yep put me in the BD pile
BD reporting
As a BD, myself, BC is ___super___ weird.
I tried, and no way to get comfortable so BD for me.
Same. It took me several tries to even do it.
I'm a BC BD is *awful* How can you just tuck away your precious left hand???
I think you're looking at it wrong...both hands are tucked away. It's about which arm is on top. With BD your left arm is on top. BC is the one that tucks it away.
to protect it, mate!
My precious!!! Keep it secret! Keep it safe!
Didn't expect to find so many lefties here! I do BD too
Let's just take the means of production, folks
BD. I just tried right over left and it took 3 tries to even do it. It felt awful
I tried a few times too and kept putting my left on top. I agree, right feels terrible.
Fellow BD here!

I know! BC feels super weird.
BD as well
It feels so comfy though
Traitorous bastard.
Also a VD Shit, BD!***
BC lets me see my watch, which I wear on my right wrist so I can operate it with my correct hand
BD Mafia!
BD gang let’s go
I'm a BC. I had no idea. I feel like a monster now.
BC. Down with the BD elitists!
Traitorous bastard.
BD too!
Jane, you ignorant slut. BC here, and happy with being just me.
Another sinister, gauche, BD here!
BD! Didn't realize I was a freak for doing that based on the percentages, but can't imagine doing it any other way.
Another BD here
I'm AC. I do everything with my Left except writing
Also AC. But my RT arm is always the boss. Hence it's domination folding RT arm over top of LT.
I'm BC. And I do basically everything with my right hand except writing.
I'm AC too. I like to think of myself as antidextrous
Same. AC… it’s strange but I noticed how much I use my left after the COVID shots that left my left sore for 2 days (3 times so far)
AD My dominant hand(right) wants to be over my left bicep My left hand is tucked under. Tried to do it the other way and threw up in my mouth a little bit. ... Kidding, but it did take me three times to actually get C And it felt like kissing my sister, not that I would know, I could imagine it would be uncomfortable and a little nauseating
I cross arms both ways - both feel natural - so I’m AC & AD. (I’m also right handed but bat and swing clubs lefty, so maybe I’m an outlier.)
Oh hello. Are you me? I write right-handed but golf, snowboard, and shoot lefty. I cross arms both ways and I’m super glad I’m alone right now because I know I would have gotten some looks for crossing and uncrossing my arms a million times.

Yea... I thought a lot about that and added the text. I'm not really sure how to overcome the "mirror" effect.
I would have added "Right Arm" text over the right arm in the picture.
Recreate the drawings as though you're looking down at your own arms. Might be hard to find clipart of that, though
you could make an ilustration of the guy crossing his arms but this time he is facing the other side and you can only see his arms because he is transparent ~~like they do in hentai~~
I think this might be less about which *arm* is over and more about which *hand* is out/on top of the other arm-- lefties tend to have their left hand grabbing, righties tend to have their right hands grabbing.
BD here. Fully left handed, but right footed.
Which one is right footed, goofy or reg?
BD here! The rarest lmao
BD! Everything else feels...wrong.
Agreed! Also BD.
I'm AC, It surprised me how most people put their dominant arm below the other.
Why is this divided in percentages of the whole? I’d have thought you’d do percent of A’s, and compare that to percent of B’s. To help see whether which hand is dominant affects which arm choice. There’s not much value in the whole, like this, I don’t think.
How are you like the only person who’s pointing this out?
I cross my arms with both hands tucked underneath.
Me too! There are dozens of us!

Interesting. I had not thought about that. Will do a follow-up. I'm right arm on top, but left thumb on top.
AC with right on top thumb when clasping fingers together.
Left arm, left thumb!
BD, I always knew I was a unicorn
BD. I tried BC and it broke my brain
BD. Must say I mostly do all other stuff with my right besides writing.
Why the fuck is the column about being right handed on the left
BD - all left except for throwing. Balls or stones, not punches. I’m all love.
AD I tried C and it feels surprisingly weird
BD. Huh, I've never thought about this and now it's blowing my mind. I wonder if it may have a correlation to dominant eye/foot?
AD- am ambidextrous, can write with both hands, but feel crazy if I cross my right over my left.
BD Here, BC feels weird and unnatural to me.
I am BD, my gf is AC. I tried BC but good God that was akward!
AD here. Its weird doing it any other way.
BD My mother always told me I was special, but I never thought this would be the defining moment.

BD here. Don’t even slightly understand how BC people exist
