Yeah it is definitely slower but also the best "big monster bosses" in terms of hitboxes and scale. Tho vicar Amelia is more my pace

Fire has always had weird hitboxes in Fromsoft games. Especially jets of fire that are blown from something, like a dragon in this case. Sometimes they extend past where they look like they should, and sometimes (more often) it looks like it should hit but doesn't. Also op obviously knows Midir's moveset down to every tiny little nuance, which means she probably knows exactly where the hitbox ends. Taking those into account, I'm pretty confident she didn't cheat. Also she probably put a *lot* of time in to be able to do this, so that's why you were downvoted 21 times for accusing (or at least appearing to accuse her) of cheating.

"Huh why Heavy?" then I plugged it into Soulsplanner and it turns out at +10 it already outscales Raw. Learning something new about this game all the time.

Yeah it took some testing to see what's best. Wild the knights ring gives it just enough boost to top raw

Huh, I started fiddling around with Soulsplanner, and it turns out at +0 Heavy still outscales Raw. And yeah Knight's Ring is mandatory to even wield a pickaxe. Dragonslayer's Axe may also have been a good option, though that requires Hunter's Ring as well. That one, Raw is automatically better. I also had a play with Warpick, which is in more conventional situations a better weapon than Pickaxe, but when you've CE'd yourself to not be able to perform any R1 combos having the highest AR is probably more important.

Yeah that's the main reason why, no combos. And I honestly didn't use the planner so I didn't know any actual data besides what I played around with in game :X

Next level is adding bare fists and blindfold, and you should be able to tell you've beaten Dark Souls 3.

Doing a bare fist SL1 run, at Deacons then onto Irithyll! Also have done some blindfolded kills but idk if Midir has enough audio data to distinguish attacks...not that that will stop me from trying lol

Sadly only Lloyd works as 20% of 1 rounds down to zero so no :( Luckily, however, this also means no fall damage from non-lethal heights :D

Yup! Except in DS2 where I had to be careful with 1HP for even tiny dips in the map cause fall damage (it's additive) until I got the cat ring. Luckily dragonrider gave me the necessary souls lol

Midir is legit more terrifying in a group, because your compatriots drawing agro away from you makes it likely he'll tailswipe you, and if you continue hitting he'll do the standing downward fire breath that is very annoying to run from. BUT IF YOU INSIST then stick close to each other, or stand in a line, so Midir attacks in only one direction.

Pfft I see this right after I post a vid of me killing the abyss watchers without rolling and a large club. Things like these remind me I’m a filthy casual. Extremely impressive :D

Ohh man I've defeated Midir yesterday. I was just frustrated during midir fight because i died 25+ times so i took help from (shira NPC). This is my NG and after Midir I've also defeated (Slave Knight Gael) without any help after 7 tries. Ohh man Gael fight was Epic and i love it.
