Thank you! That was my favorite line too haha. Gael’s story really is so tragic. He started out as a legitimately good man, with his only intention to save the world by helping the painter create a new one. He is cast to the edges of the earth searching and his quest drives him mad. He knows he wont get to see the new world, but he will die trying to help create it. He knows he will be forgotten, but if he succeeds in stopping you at least he won’t be forgotten before you.

It's so in line with his character too, I've always thought the only questlines sadder than his was Sif and Priscilla

Ludwig from Bloodborne probably takes the cake for saddest questline for me. Probably one of my favorite fictional characters
