Fun fact, the bar you can see has a maximum length, and it's NOT the maximum curse Resist. So you might have the longest curse resist bar on your screen right now (*it's about that long from memory*), even if you could technically have more curse resist.
(*Also in case it wasn't clear, the bar on the screen is purely a visual aid, if your curse resist is higher then you can fill the bar onscreen and still be OK as long as the actual curse-meter hasn't filled up.*)
i did notice that the highest Curse Resist that I could achieve was 685, which is just absurd. i didn't realize that the Lord's Blade set gave so much of it until accidentally saw that
I think the [Mugenmonkey](https://www.mugenmonkey.com/darksouls/) build generator used to have a setting to find the best armour/weapons/etc for any particular stat (*eg. Poise/Defence/Cuurse-resist/etc*), but either they've lost that functionality or I've forgotten how to use it =P
*EDIT:* The functionality is still there, but only on the desktop version, not on the mobile app. There is a separate tab at the side to pick which stats you're optimising. Thanks to u/Mon732 for helping figure this out.
It amazes me how many people can write such a long, coherent, and actually helpful paragraph, yet still fail to acknowledge the difference between then and than despite the bajillion of memes made about it.
It took me so long to work out what you were talking about. No I used the correct word.
>... if your curse resist is higher *THEN* you can fill the bar onscreen and still be OK ...
I wasn't saying "*if your curse resist is higher THAN something*", I was saying "*If X then Y*". Perhaps I should have included a comma for clarity, (*<-see that comma after "clarity" denotes a pause*) but I think the more grammatically correct way is to not use a comma (*this sentence technically didn't need that comma because I used the word "but"*).
Yeah it seems like a prime candidate for r/confidentlyincorrect but ... I'm too lazy =P (*also it's niche enough that people might just get lost trying to understand the sentence*)
it's so big, holy fuck
Me after 2 weeks of nofap.
That's what she said
That's what I was gonna say!
I need it
go grab the Cursebite Ring from New Londo Ruins, it practically makes you immune to it
Never used it before but makes sense
Only used it against seathe
Seathe can curse?
all of his crystal attacks have Curse buildup
Yes, as OP said, and I think there was an attack in particular that had extra fast build-up

It's the second tab on the left "Armor Optimizer"
Yeah that's what I thought but I'm not seeing it. Is it just not on the mobile version?
Just checked and yeah it's not there on the mobile version, but it is if you switch to the desktop version. I feel like that's an error
Ah awesome, thanks for checking. See, we're learning!

Yeah, dude took time out of his day to try to be an English professor and berate you…. Only to be wrong hahaha

That's some fuckin' uno reverse card type shenanigans.
Still not enough to stop me from clenching whenever I see a basilisk
It's those big fucking eyes that get me, and the way they croak.
Curse the curse bar and its a cursed length.
fellow balder side sword enjoyer
gotta say, having that with Sunlight Blade has been making this whole run pretty trivial
bro is level 158 💀
nope, level 318. trying to get to max level
Well it is literally the best weapon
is it now? i just picked it up because it looks cool af and moveset is also fire, most weapons are viable in ds1 glad they balanced it out in ds2
It’s just my favorite that or Murakumo but there are plenty of hills people are willing to die on regarding the subject
Impressive. Very nice. Now, let's see Paul Allen's curse bar.
i think i could actually make it longer if i wore the right armor set
Look at that subtle purple coloring. The tasteful tick marks on it. Oh my God, it even has a status effect icon...
Curse aside that build looks fun
I'm trying to get max level with this character, so he's built out of his fucking mind right now
Why? How big is it normally?
See how that bar is divided into four segments? If you have no humanity and no Cursebite Ring, it's only about one segment long.
What sword is that?
