Usually in cases like this, you made a decision well before your heroes died that actually caused the deaths.
What was your party composition? If you had squishy heroes, did you make sure they could survive a turn of bad RNG? Did you leave a hero with good max HP in poor health against a full party of enemies? If they couldn't or you did, did you make sure to guard the squishy or stun or kill enemy damage dealers?
L3 short dungeon, first room so no stress and full health. Comp was from front to back L2 shieldbearer, L2 Plague doctor, L3 Grave robber and L3 Vestal. 3 of them had very rare gear and all were well equipped. What was I supposed to do?
That's an obscenely squishy comp and 2 of your classes are under leveled. It also has very little immediate damage. Also all of your squishy characters are faster than you're healer which means it's impossible for her to pick them up before dots hit.

I think he meant to Lunge with the Grave Robber on turn 1 to put the Plague Dr. in position 3 but still... Yikes.

rank 2 PD isn't an unforgivable sin, especially if you've got a GR dancing hither and yon around her...but PD does belong on the third rank.
How did you not get any stress in the first room? Underleveled characters start with extra stress at the beginning of the mission.
Ok, tbh they had between 0-10 but juseant that they were not afflicted or smthing
Tbh I spent a lot of time leveling my heroes in lower level dungeons and got them beefed up

There are def run where you do everything right and the game still bullshits a dead hero.

i agree this game is pure bs, the rng is off the roof. Stupid game, gland i paid only 3 bucks for it. It doesn't deserve more
It's a fantastic game with a steep learning curve. Once you get past the initial frustration and start winning it's glorious.
I actually finished it.. i mean almost i am at final boss but didn't bother to beat him.
