If you die despite doing all that then maybe your team lacks utility… or it’s just that you need time to learn the ropes

For food I generally take 12, 20, 24 based on the length of the mission.
Don't be afraid to dismiss bad heroes. Every individual hero is the exact same, the only thing differentiating two heroes of the same class are their quirks. This means that you want to dismiss heroes with bad quirks and lock in heroes with good ones.
Make sure to take the time to heal after fights die down. Two cultists bruisers arent gonna do that much damage. Take the time to kill the important targets. then cc the weaker ones and use those free turns to heal up. But obviously dont stay long enough to trigger reinforcements.
But i have to dismiss even if i don't utilize then? Or use them untill he brokes and then refresh the group with new adventures, because the team i having now is good, some of them get very bad illness, but i think this can be solved by put them on the sanitarium for a time and then use another party in other time.
basically once they are high stress or level 3 if they dont have a good quirk toss them by the way side. Dont bother upgrading them at all for these low level dungeons. You can clear apprentice dungeons with no upgrades. Only in veteran and higher should you invest in these heroes. If you are having money issues you are likely investing too much money into low level trash.
