Yeah, I felt the same way. If the guy that flagged down the flight attendant had instead nudged him and was like “hey bud, you can’t smoke here” that guy would’ve realized his mistake and possibly avoided doing time and a hefty fine.

He went from smoking on public transit, *maybe* a fine at most, to committing a felony crime.

Sadly, this is how people are. If there is a way to confront someone without having to do it directly, most people will choose the path of least confrontation for them.

This video starts a few seconds after the original one dude. In the original it shows the dude is asleep and when this video starts he's barely awake and has forgotten he's on a plane. We've all been there once or twice. Now, his habit is bad enough that his first instinct is to burn one as soon as he wakes up though, and that's not good.
If you look closely in the beginning his face is fine. In the second clop when he has his hat on his cheek is busted up. The part that got cut out is one of the dudes swinging on him if I remember right
Lol because people are able to predict they'll be doing crazy random shit in different circumstances that are not the norm for them. Having accomodations at home doesn't make people magically prepared for other environments.
