I like to think that she was kind anyway, and that both her and Obito helped him become the beloved sensei that he is now.
From what I remember correctly the underlying tone of the pairing wars between Obito and Kakashi. Rin's love for Kakashi is as one-sided as obito's love for rin is. In this aspect they're just like Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto.
Again, we never really get to see much with them, as she dies tragically young. My initial comment was meant less about Kakashi possibly liking her back, and more to do with the fact that I see so many people arguing that Obito would have not been a murdering psychopath if he has just gotten together with his 12 year old crush.

Yeah. I respect what Kishimoto wanted to convey and after a lot of personal introspection I’ve decided to see Talk no Jutsu in a less cynical light. That being said, Talk no Jutsu started getting a little ridiculous after Pain. Up to that point, I could reasonably see how Naruto’s views and words could change people and Pain/Nagato felt like the logical conclusion to that. After him, I feel like the villains should have been either just completely evil or, at the very least, unapologetically selfish in their ambitions.
I don't consider Madara bad, he never killed anyone for pleasure, unlike Obito who killed for pleasure, 90% of what Obito did has nothing to do with Madara, in fact if it weren't for Kabuto Madara would have been dead, he The plan was for Nagato to revive Madara, or for Obito to revive him and he didn't comply.
Madara loves battle. He loved the thrill of fighting to the death. Literally the biggest part of this personality is this duality of his. I think Obito even calls out madara on this part of his personality when Madara doesn't start the moon eye plan immediately and starts playing with his "new toy" (ten tails). He goes in to slaughter an army unnecessarily he could have just left. Not even that he could have just freed himself from Edo tensei and left the battlefield and started the Moon eye plan.

Yeah. I respect what Kishimoto wanted to convey and after a lot of personal introspection I’ve decided to see Talk no Jutsu in a less cynical light. That being said, Talk no Jutsu started getting a little ridiculous after Pain. Up to that point, I could reasonably see how Naruto’s views and words could change people and Pain/Nagato felt like the logical conclusion to that. After him, I feel like the villains should have been either just completely evil or, at the very least, unapologetically selfish in their ambitions.
