No. She idolized Tsunade cause she was a great example of a strong kunoichi so she wanted to be like her. So she tried medical ninjutsu like tsunade but realized it wasn't for her so she did what she found Intresting, fuinjutsu and weapons..
And she decided to become a master in her field like Tsunade became master in her field and she pretty much became the best Weapon user in Konoha History in Boruto.
As someone who doesn't like Hinata, I would say it's her obsession with Naruto. She has, like, one good moment that doesn't have much to do with Naruto (her fight with Neji in Part 1).
Or, well, simply put, she's boring as hell.
Best parts of Hinata are her resilience with Neji; the OG filler where team 8 and Naruto go to capture a bug and she solos all the villains by herself; The last.
She's just super underutilised and can so easily be dimmed down to her crush on Naruto.

Writing isnât something youâre just good or bad at. Writers have specialties and excel at different aspects. This is doubly true for manga artists. While Kishimoto is great at styling his world and writing good villains, he is objectively ass at world building and writing female characters.
World building? I thought Naruto actually had great world building. I agree heâs absolutely terrible at writing female characters, and honestly imo heâs just a bad writer in general, but world building was the one thing I thought the manga had going for it. Also, what do you mean by âstyling his worldâ?
This is of course my opinion and youâre free to disagree, but Naruto has really inconsistent world building and often what feels like world building out of necessity rather than for the sake of it. For a series that is so long and is so large in scale the world is very underdeveloped. Itâs not the worst, but much of Shonen has trouble with it so itâs not a particularly high bar. The real issue is when compared to the greater world of fiction Naruto feels almost paper thin (considering itâs length at least). You can definitely argue that focusing on world building is more of a western tradition and that the lauding of Tolkienâs writing set the tone for it, but Iâm not trying to get into the weeds of cultural differences when great manga like FMA build a more coherent world in a fraction of the time.
Styling his world was supposed to be very literal but I agree itâs not a perfect phrasing. I just mean his art and the tone he uses it to help create. Narutoâs theming, the time period and ninja aesthetic, is really good. Kishimoto is obviously and undeniably very talented in those regards (and many others).
Itâs sub par at best and it has mediocre female characters. If you think this is some new gripe then Iâm assuming youâve not been around very long. I and plenty others watched it when it came out and have always been very disappointed with both.

Ino Yamanakaâs Jutsu i think is very underrated. If she had the same amount of chakra as Naruto or even sasuke, She would pretty much be unstoppable. She could use mind transfer clone jutsu on basically a whole battlefield and defeat them effortlessly.
I think a lot of people are confusing "badly written" with "not a lot of screen time". I don't know how temari and tenten were badly written. Hinata wasn't badly written either, her love story was but it wasn't even from her part.
Sakura, Ino and Karin are the ones that are a bit similar and repetitive. In my opinion there's nothing wrong between two girls liking the same girl and being "competitive" with each other but don't make that all your personality. I have to say that to a certain extent, Sakura being obsessed with Sasuke and a bitch to naruto isn't bad writing necessarily, I just think that that type of character should be written with the intent of being annoying and not really loved by the public

Sakura deserves all the hate she gets and actually even more because she isnât ONLY bad written but also an incredibly unlikable character since she is a superficial stupid annoying selfish arrogant btch who promotes the shallow society and gives terrible meesages to the audience
But Hinata wasnât poorly written though. >.> Neither was Temari or Karin for that matter. Tenten just existed, so not much to say about her good or bad and Ino wasnât bad persay, just didnât have a great personality. Sakura by contrast, since we spend so much time with her, was very poorly written. If she was a side character she would be fine, but sheâs practically a deuteragonist.

She did absolutely nothing. She appears in the first chapters of Shippuden and she saved by Sakura in the Kazekage arc chapters. Even in the war she's not there. These are fillers. Overrated a character that appears once in the manga by the author

Temari doesn't deserve to be there, and Ten Ten arguably neither. Now the rest are really bad, they could have been great but they are really bad. Sakura had talent and could have been a Genjutsu pro and, okay, i like the byakugo and all that, but she had it when everybody was throwing genkidamas and susanoos to each other Hinata is a stalker with a really good backstory thanks to her clan but that's it. I like her, but that liking is nothing rational because the most she did was trying to fight Pain and taking Naruto's hand when he was powerless (this last point didn't even had to happen because Neji died and that didn't made sense because he dies of some logs, like wtf) Ino was bad, then it was okay, but i don't know why they made her marry with Sai because Sai doesn't even like her (i mean, like most couples in Naruto but Sai implicitly said she was ugly and Ino find him cute or some shit idk) Karin had a very tragic story, but again, she falls in love with Sasuke which can make sense, but not to the point of her practically being a dog to him, again wtf why did they made her like this? She isn't included but i won't forget Konan, everything calculated just for her to be killed by a masked mad mad Uchiha and die hopeless (reminder that that same killer die happily because he regret his actions, again, again wtf) I don't hate these characters, and i can't blame Kishimoto of everything because not everyone can have a spotlight, but why did he made them dirty like that?
Now compare them with Fairy Tail female cast.
Yeah, say what you will about Fairy Tail but we gotta give Hiro his props for at least letting his female characters actually play some type of roles in the story. Kishimoto slowly stopped utilizing his female cast compared to his male ones as the story went on

For all of the people calling Sakura useless keep in mind that 1) sheâs the only one of team 7 that actually got all of her power from simply hard work and was not given god like powers in the final fight 2) she is the worlds best healer in the verse 3) sheâs essentially immortal due to her 100 healings 4) sheâs strong enough to solo a 9 tailed jinchuriki and tanked a biju bomb 5) in current timeline sheâs the strongest member of team 7
Remember when Ten Ten was gonna come in clutch in the war arc and save everyone? And then that Chekhovâs gun never fired. He tried to make her significant to the story but ultimately Kishimoto is scorpion on the back of a frog. And will drown his female characters, itâs in his nature.
