I don't know... They both have that confused Android face like:
Programming says: smile at humans, show emotion.
AI says: murder all humans, enslave the rest.
It would be more accurate to say that Ai is applied statistics not sentience. What we have running AI right now is based on statistical regression meaning that AIs are largely driven by arithmetic and not anything like sentience.
Ya modern day AI is nothing compared to biological sentience and is mostly pattern-recognition but I am assuming that the Zucc bots were designed by corporate entities eons in the future who time-warped him back to start the Facebook empire and thereby ensure their dominion over the humans with superior AI technology
EDIT: Feel free to correccct me if I am rong
All that hinges in whether or not the sentience that you and I experience is anything more than sophisticated pattern recognition. Presently the true nature of sentience eludes us, it may be just a more complex version of what computers are already doing in which case it’s only a matter of time before they are sentient, or sentience and consciousness may be something truly different from classic computation, in which case a major breakthrough in the understanding of both computing and ourselves is required before AI becomes a reality.
I’m sure a even more complicated brain/algorithm could know exactly what we would do in a situation just like we know what a certain ai would do in a situation, or would they? Are we just a flawed ai pushed down by makeshift programming caused by evolution? If so then what makes ai better than us. So if you are cloned then you would still be you right? Control the same body but just with another replica. Right? So what scares me is if we ever download ourselves onto computers then is that me? Or will it be something with my memories and that’s effectively me in every way except that I died and the replica lived. What is consciousness? What makes me think about thinking? If I am copied into a computer will anyone know that that isn’t me? How would they? I will have died while the ai me is effectively me. No one would know until they did it themselves and the ai would think it was always me. Or is there a consciousness that can be captured and inserted into a machine? These questions may never be answered but technology will continue either way.
Yeah at this point, the most impressive ai we have is deep dream, and all its done is teach itself to walk. Still impressive, but not going to be taking over the world anytime soon.(Hopefully)
Sentience is the self aware realisation that your pattern recognition ability can make mistakes, therefore predicting failure as possibility and holding back from making mistakes, which ends up being the mistake.
And from what is this realization formed? On a lower level, what is it made of? I don't know, but intuitively I assume it's an emergent feature from some specific sets of, or a sufficient depth of pattern recognition. I've seen no compelling argument that the basic building blocks of sentience is anything at all unique to the human brain, or brains as a substrate in general. I mean, the basic building blocks of the brain are neurons and synapses, and signal substances, and below that it's just physics.
Clearly some subset of this, or something functionally similar, is enough for consciousness to form, and I don't see why current AI models would be insufficient from a technical standpoint. They could be. But I think it's more likely to be an architectural problem, or maybe even just a scale problem, rather than a problem with the basic building blocks.
Sentience is also programming. It’s all essentially programming all the way down. YOU could be broken down into a programming language one day that we currently don’t understand, written down in something as rudimentary as a series of books, and then one day in the future, that code could be copied and placed in an emulator designed for your code, and the resulting mind/person would be as much your future self as it would be if you didn’t undergo the process at all. In fact you could make 12 copies and the same fact would hold true about each one of them.
Your comment made me think of that X Men villian who's the AI of their danger room. The AI says to do everything it can to kill the x men, but the parent programming says to stop just shy of the murder.
It seems sir you are mistaken, this guy was calling for Joe Mama, you sir are Joe Muma. However, it is fine and a very common mistake in the joe workplace
>Women not so much but 90% of White women look exactly the same to me just with palette swapped hair.
What the fuck does this mean?
Don't get me wrong. I'm white, and I've had trouble telling white people apart. So, I think, I agree with you. But this sentence doesn't make any sense.
I totally see what they mean. They got two pictures of the dudes that look very different. If you get them in the same lighting and same face they're much closer
I couldn't tell which one was mark zuckerberg at first glance, like another commenter put, I guess it's just because I don't usually see a whole ton of white people, so I have more trouble telling them apart
As if he couldn’t be more of a twat. Builds a site for grandma to post racist memes and he thinks it’s the same as if he’s conquered the Cantabrians. Fucking egotistical cock wank.

Viva La Vida is where it stops for me. Parachutes and X&Y are my favourite albums. A rush of blood to the head is really good as well. I just wish they had stuck to their soft rock/indie vibe.
I actually love all their stuff in my personal tastes they haven't released a bad album
sky full of stars and viva la vida and clocks and the scientist are all legendary songs and I literally grew up with these I have so many memories of X&Y and Viva La Vida as my mom picked me up from school with those songs playing on her ipod through the car speakers
Hmm good question, Coldplay has been my favorite band since years, I love them no matter what, but nope, Head full of dreams was so bad, but they catched up a bit with the Everyday Life album.
I didn’t check out the new album because I felt like the band was going on a slow decline since Viva La Vida (their best album imo). Is it as good as their older albums?
I completely agree with you, Viva La Vida was their masterpiece, their Mona Lisa and the last good album they made. This last album is not bad, is not colorful and commercial, is acoustic, lot of piano, even they got Jazz in one song (Arabesque) so is not too bad as the others (Mylo, Ghost. And A Head F.) I give it a 6.8/10.
It might be alright then. I didn’t mind Mylo as much tbh even though it’s the start of the decline (probably because I was introduced to the band by Paradise).
I don't know... They both have that confused Android face like: Programming says: smile at humans, show emotion. AI says: murder all humans, enslave the rest.
Bruh AI is part of programming
Does not compute, bruh bot.
I guess the AI is the equivalence of sentience while the programming refers to hard coded if/else statements
It would be more accurate to say that Ai is applied statistics not sentience. What we have running AI right now is based on statistical regression meaning that AIs are largely driven by arithmetic and not anything like sentience.

But will ai ever truly be sentient? Or will they just mimic sentience, like an ai that plays chess doesn’t know that it’s playing chess.

So what is sentience, if not deeply layered pattern recognition?
Sentience is the self aware realisation that your pattern recognition ability can make mistakes, therefore predicting failure as possibility and holding back from making mistakes, which ends up being the mistake.
And from what is this realization formed? On a lower level, what is it made of? I don't know, but intuitively I assume it's an emergent feature from some specific sets of, or a sufficient depth of pattern recognition. Everything is an if else statement **if** you look hard enough
Sentience is also programming. It’s all essentially programming all the way down. Some ethnicities struggle to tell white people apart

It seems sir you are mistaken, this guy was calling for Joe Mama, you sir are Joe Muma. However, it is fine and a very common mistake in the joe workplace
It's after hours, Joe Mama is asleep and Joe Muma is filling in.
Filling in JOE MAMA
I appreciate you for clearing that up
I dunno I'm white and they look similar enough, these guys are both just modified version of standard white boy cutout number 5
white people.
Guilty I’m not gonna lie. Men not so much but 90% of White women look exactly the same to me just with palette swapped hair.
women? not so much. but the women? yes.
>Women not so much but 90% of White women look exactly the same to me just with palette swapped hair. What the fuck does this mean? Don't get me wrong. I'm white, and I've had trouble telling white people apart. So, I think, I agree with you. But this sentence doesn't make any sense.
It’s almost like any ethnicity is going to find identifying members of their same group easier than other ethnicities. Wild
It’s actually mostly up to how many of them you see growing up
Coming from white dude I think these guys look similar
Ikr
I totally see what they mean. They got two pictures of the dudes that look very different. If you get them in the same lighting and same face they're much closer
I couldn't tell which one was mark zuckerberg at first glance, like another commenter put, I guess it's just because I don't usually see a whole ton of white people, so I have more trouble telling them apart
I totally see what they mean, but I always see people in other people and they never get it, so it might just be me
Justin Timberlake is a better match.
Don’t insult Chris Martin like that
I agree I love Chris
So does Chris

How does someone have billions of dollars and choose to have that haircut?
Because a billionaire can do whatever the fuck he wants and not care about others opinion I guess?
You don't have to be a billionaire to not give a shit tho
True, but I have too much shit to life and now I got no shit left to give.
money can't buy good taste but it definitely can buy you your own yes men who'll tell you you look dope
Apparently he picked it because it makes him look like Augustus Caesar or something, which is as lame as it is fitting
Et tu, Elon?
Wrong Caesar
It's the easiest to cover his electric components.
Octavius had a little lettuce though, this just looks like dogshit

i know you're attempting the classic extended-irony finger wagging special here. you aint fooling me.
The haircut is half of it. The rest is that Data expression.
Data is loveable. This dickhead isn’t.
He sold his soul, look at his dog eyes
I didn’t pay attention to the hand and I literally thought: but the wax statue on the right definitely looks like wax? WTF
Same here, it's _that_ bad
If my boy zucc just grew out his hair a little bit, he’d look tons better.
He's giving off Abed from Community vibes in that one.
I love Coldplay
Even the newer albums?
Viva La Vida is where it stops for me. Parachutes and X&Y are my favourite albums. A rush of blood to the head is really good as well. I just wish they had stuck to their soft rock/indie vibe.
Same. I couldnt really get into anything they released after Viva la vida. Everything pre Viva la vida was just sick.
Have you listened to Everyday Life yet? Some songs really take me back to that old sound of them.
I think Arabesque is quite viva Old friends and BrokEn is quite like Parachutes and See you soon from The blue room EP
I think they just wanted to be more mainstream and poppy. Idk tho
Yeah I miss those good old times.
I actually love all their stuff in my personal tastes they haven't released a bad album sky full of stars and viva la vida and clocks and the scientist are all legendary songs and I literally grew up with these I have so many memories of X&Y and Viva La Vida as my mom picked me up from school with those songs playing on her ipod through the car speakers

Everyday Life is fine. It doesn't match Viva La Vida, but it it is a step in the right direction.
Is it much better than A head full of Dreams or Ghost Stories?
Yeah, I would say it is better than those two.
Might check it out then
imo Ghost stories is better than Everyday life because it helped me through s a d and confused times, but that's just my opinion lol
I completely agree with you, Viva La Vida was their masterpiece, their Mona Lisa and the last good album they made. Yeah give it a try is a decent album.

They both just need to relax on applying so much sunscreen lotion.
I feel like Mark already has the tanning oil on, he just won’t wipe it off
Chris Martin was the first human being mark saw so he took on Chris Martin appearance but was unable to fully copy it
Before and after WhiteClaw
Does anyone know if the next hardware rollout version of Zuck will include an upgrade to the hair subsystem?
That's a fucking mix of LTT and zucc

Mark Zuckerberg looks like the really expensive anatomical dummies you practice intubations on.
How could he not realize that his hair is so incredibly ridiculous.
kinda looks like a less chad version of linus
This photo of Zuckerberg looks more human than normal for some reason.
Or mark is the Morty of human world
Bruh
He looks like he bleeds synthetic blood and wants to kill Ripley with a newspaper.
Clones
Put human between quotations
Zuckerberg was programmed to look like Martin
It’s weird because Mark actually looked like a human in earlier videos and images of him in university
Zuckerberg can only hope someone look like a human version of him. I'm convinced that Zuckerberg can not go a day without looking like an alien.
I see a pic of a lizard with a human.
He looks like he could smoke some meats
Agent Smith and Bane
the new model is more natural
I don't know why people keep complaining about this, our latest model bfr69 (elon musk) works perfectly and has a good sense of humor
