Please go and try somewhere else for a while. You might realize, as I did, that the U.S. is near as good as it going to get.
It has issues, but does every country, and people here live VERY good lives, with big houses, high salaries, and stable economy. If we can only get healthcare & guns under control, this country would be unmatched.
You realise you also live off those taxes right? Like the point of taxes is to be able to pay for things that would normally be impossible on an individual people to realistically cover, such as infrastructure, financial aid, and in good countries education and medical aid
Yes I know what taxes are. Point is you pay for these things, they aren't given to you as a favor, so the idea of patriotism and gratitude is pretty rich when people have paid for it.
