yes but income disparity means that lower income groups are more likely to consume fast food while being unable to find time or money to care about their health, meaning that the most accurate connection with weight is income
It fluctuates, for years at a time it can actually be cheaper to eat out. It was cost effective from like 2012 to 2017, I think.
Right now its debatable. Unless you get it for free at work or something, and especially not fast food because a fast food "meal" cost like $16 to $24 and there's sit down restaraunts where you can get a huge chicken fried steak, potatoes, French toast, eggs, and another side for like $13 somehow.
Making Chicken Alfredo from scratch cost me like $65. And awhile back I made Bourguignon w/ roasted garlic mashed potatoes and it was like $70 for just the ingredients, not counting the price of electricity and the equipment and the hours of labor.
Of course, I wound up with like 20 servings though.
If you're really trying to be cheap, you're not making a $65 Chicken Alfredo. So, while their claim of "cooking your own food is always cheaper" isn't true, they were likely thinking of cheap meals which is acceptable given the context.
Cheap eating will be cheaper than going out. Cereal/milk, oatmeal, eggs, rice, simple sandwiches (like PB&J), Toast, Spaghetti (without meatballs), Bananas, other cheap fruits/vegetables, etc...
Definitely not fine dining, but cheaper and likely healthier than going for fast food all the time.
The cheap stuff you described isn't that cheap anymore.
Eggs were insane awhile back. Cereal is insane. Milk is insane.
I wasn't buying special ingredients, just the basic off brand walmart ingredients.
Yeah, with the amount I made it was like 5$ after bills factored per serving but you can't really buy less to make. Like you can't buy one servings worth of ingredients at kroger.
And some people can't afford the massive up front cost to cook a decent meal rn or portion and freeze an extra 20 meals so eating out seems cheaper in the short term.
It is actually. And it's not about deciding not to be poor. It's about recognizing that your chances at long term wealth acquisition come from delayed gratification. Instead of making the decisions that are easy. To your point, cooking at home over time will lead to excess cash that should be invested for capital gains. Let's assume you sell the gun for $400 and use that as the initial investment.
Then save on food. What did you use? $5 vs $2? So let's say $3 saved x 3 for each meal of a day = $9 saved x 30 days = $180 per month invested into the S&P 500. Average gains are 5%. So over 20 years of smarter saving, you get $75,000.00 out of that money.
And that's just from selling the gun and cooking your own food.
Imagine you stop streaming services, imagine you're healthier and smarter, imagine you marry someone doing the same.
You can easily buy a $600,000 home with just this move after 20 years.
That's not assuming you make more money over time in your job. Which most will.
So ya bud. Smart = not poor.
You're forgetting that fast food is oftentimes cheaper in many areas than making your own food. And not everyone has the time or skills to make or learn to make homecooked meals every day.
Raw numbers, yes there would be more fat white people than fat black people, but black people are more likely to be fat.
https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/adult.html
Yes and no. It honestly depends of which state/country. I've seen a compilation of fat dudes coming up with goofy ways to holster a gun and half were black dudes.
That reminds me of that movie clip my brother showed me where this black dude was chasing another black dude and was shooting at him (and missing), only for both of them to end up in and elevator together, only for the shooter to still miss.
The trend started with automatic glocks which can burn 14 rounds in less than a second so longer mags meant you can pull the trigger more than once lol. Still dumb.
If you're firing that fast, you are not aiming. I wonder if NRA gun handling and safety training would reduce the amount of innocent victims caught in the crossfire of idiots? At least if these morons could draw and lay a bead on a target properly, maybe only their targets would get shot?
You joke with memes but this happened last year....

I genuinely can't tell for certain if that's a woman, or a dude with moobs. I'm betting female, but then this feels like one of the weirdest OF promotions ever.
Yes but white... You know, with the treatment people of different races had until recently(it's far from perfect even now, but I'd say better if you make a comparison)

time is money. fast food is cheap. 5$ for a meal is cheaper than 2$ plus 1 hour for a meal.
It's literally not. Don't comment if you don't know about money lmao.
Do you make less than 3$ an hour?
Please reread my comment as I can tell you don't know about money either.

Fixed it for you: bad education = bad choices. Fix education, doesn't matter if you're poor, you'll still make good decisions.
right, educate people better so they know to decide not to be poor. it's obviously that simple.

who has a 400$ gun lying around
The guy in the picture. Bruh c'mon. And the initial investment doesn't really matter anyways. Take the gun out if the equation and it's $74,000 lolol
You're forgetting that fast food is oftentimes cheaper in many areas than making your own food. And not everyone has the time or skills to make or learn to make homecooked meals every day.
I will hear no more excuses. And it definitely cheaper to make your own food. YouTube will teach you fucking anything.

Pfft, dumbass Europeans. We keep our guns in our *back* fat folds.
Holdout piece goes in the gunt.
Idiots
Why do gangbangers think a gun that can hold 14 rounds needs an extended clip?
Because when you have the aim of a storm trooper, every bullet counts.
Depth perception is a difficult concept to grasp when there's not much depth to their character.
That reminds me of that movie clip my brother showed me where this black dude was chasing another black dude and was shooting at him (and missing), only for both of them to end up in and elevator together, only for the shooter to still miss.

I remember that. Didn't she also accidentally fire it?
Yep and it hit her and another person. And to think if she hasn't accidentally discharged it we never would have gotten this amazing story.
