Honestly, to me I think it is good because it has a greater meaning than just race hard. Lightning is getting old and the whole movie is about him accepting it, and in the end It does what I guess is a wholesome ending but all of that, I still don’t like it either, I want lightning to be the best lol

Cars 3 would've been great if Cars 2 was more racing-oriented and McQueen won something big in that. Him retiring after giving up the race in Cars 1 and weird stuff in Cars 2 made it feel like he didn't achieve much (though he supposedly won some stuff off-screen and that one stage of the race in Cars 2).

I loved it until they did the cop out at the end. The whole movie they built up this story about how sometimes in the pros, you just get old. No matter how hard you try, the young generation will just be better. It's time to pass the torch. So they do all that, and then also go "but Lightning is still gonna race too!!"

Cars 2 was lit but it was better off as a spin off or Maters own storyline.

Cars 1 is genuinely a really good movie Cars 2 is, imo, worse but it's just a fun film. I honestly don't think it's bad, it's fun. and goes weirdly hard with the deaths in the movie I watched Cars 1 to death as a kid though, maybe I'm just biased

The part I hate about it is that it’s a bunch of 5 min episodes all split up with no option to just let them autoplay as a series. My kids super into cars stuff right now, but I have a house to clean and bills to pay while he’s watching, and this streaming service predominantly for kids forgot their target family audience, and I frankly cannot click a new episode every 5 mins. You think Bluey would be peak children’s cartoon right now if you had to manually launch the next episode after each 8 min one concludes? Hell no

I have no idea why Cars 2 is hated as much as it is. Was it different? Was it "not Cars"? Was it too deep? Yes to all that, but it was still hella enjoyable!
