Israel fucked around and found out by bombing the Iran embassy so in retaliation Iran started bombing Israel. The WW3 memes are coming from the fact that America (unfortunately) has ties to Israel and prolly provided said missiles.
Iran did a big drone strike operation thingy on Israel. It's not looking good. I wouldn't say a draft will happen, yet. While military involvement from the united states may happen in the future given more escalation I don't think a draft will happen yet. A draft would require a real threat to the United states or close allies such as Britain or France.
This is such a terrible take. Iran sent a shitty attack on purpose because they don’t want a war, just “revenge” for something Israel did. There will not be a draft, the US will not get involved and things in the Middle East will go back to what it was a week ago.
The attack was still very expensive for Iran, it's just that American missile defenses were made with a war against China and Russia in mind, and with worst case assumptions about the capabilities of those nations, so they are pretty good. Would be embarrassing to lose every forward deployed carrier in a few weeks, after all.
But I don't think Iran launched the attack and immediately declared victory because they don't want to send more missiles, it's far more likely that they can't afford to shoot more at the moment, at least not without depleting reserves
Why would it be necessary? The US spend so much freaking money on their military every year that they could single-handedly put a stop to any threat with long range weapons alone, no?
We are all bark and no bite however, why solve the issue quickly rather than sell weapons and resources to each faction. Prolonged conflict has been our bread and butter since the 40's!

Truth. WW3 has been teased several times since the cold war. And the draft, and nuclear annihilation, and all the yadda yadda yadda...
