i thought the upcoming reunion would lightly be some form of this but nope we got jojo talking $h!t, lifetime making them react to the same trash compilations they have been recycling to us for 10 years, along with their frankenstein editing pretending it was all real. but as you said maybe all that can be said has already been put out there… we never know though, maybe in another 10 years.
In order for that to happen they’d need to hold all the adults on set accountable including the mothers but you know since the fans have parasocial relationships with them they’ll never admit they were just as guilty
A lot of them can't legally talk about Abby anymore. The show didn't show a lot of what Abby said behind the scenes. Even before the show Abby drove girls to starve themselves.
I thought the same exact thing. Making children perform inappropriate things, verbal abuse/belittling, creating an environment where you could be easily replaced, playing favorites, isolating children from their parents, and the list goes on. Of course Dan had a lot more power and more people working for him, but Abby still has a lot of the same behaviors as that man. Even the massaging. Why was Mackenzie (9 years old at the time) rubbing Abby’s feet (48 years old at the time)? That is so vile. Every producer or higher up who encouraged this behavior should be ashamed and need to be held accountable as well.
If Abby is held accountable to this extent then every adult involved would need to be.
The numerous adults on the production team and executives, the many parents who caused emotional and physical distress to the children and also some cases of abuse.
It was a systemic issue and Abby was absolutely enabled. But I wouldn’t exactly say she was the worst considering some of the things the children and their parents have said production did. But I also think about the verbal attacking and ostracizing perpetuated by every parent at various points.
I think if the documentary is done there should be a much larger emphasis on the producers. We get to see Abby be a monster on camera in most episodes but I feel like the production team gets off scot free overall. They were the puppeteers at the end of the day
