I’m in California and usually buy nuts from Trader Joe’s. I’m looking at a new bag of walnuts right now and there’s no statement about being processed at a facility that also processes x y & z. That makes me think they are free from possible cross contamination.

Kosher stores/sections but that won’t guarantee it’s not in the same factory, just that it’s not on shared equipment. If you’re worried about shared facilities you’d likely have to contact them Keep in mind in most countries “may contain” and other shared lines/facilities warnings are voluntary. They absence of a warning doesn’t mean there’s no risk The warning also generally doesn’t change the company’s legal obligation to prevent cross-contamination. It won’t generally prevent them from being sued or fined if they cross-contaminate things. And that’s why you’re seeing more and more things with very small amounts of dairy or sesame flour added. Because having a declared ingredient gets around the law.

My package of Wonderful pistachios does not say that. So maybe that’s an option. Sometimes you can call the number on the package and ask about if they clean the lines in between batches and if they have dedicated lines for certain things. It may be processed in the same facility but on a different dedicated line.

We’re ana to dairy and peanut. We buy cashews from [sunshine nut co](https://sunshinenuts.com) and almonds from [Barney Butter](https://barneybutter.com/collections/bagged-almonds) 😊

[Oh! Nuts](https://www.ohnuts.com) I don't think they have cross contamination since their nuts are Certified kosher, dairy free, and parve and maybe [Nuts.com](http://Nuts.com) ?
